if i would give this company less then one stars i would.
i started to rent from freedom home last October, in the time between then and march i had always paid my rent on time and made one noise complaint (as i lived in a house share). late march i reported that the bathroom ceiling was leaking through the lights. i spent several phone calls waiting on hold after being told i would get phone calls back but received nothing. After being told they would try and get someone out before the weekend on the Friday evening i was then told they couldn’t find anyone to come out. I was then told on the monday morning someone would be out the same day, after a couple of hours i rang to confirm what time someone would be out to be told the person coming could no longer attend due to a family emergency. After being on hold and being lied to by several members of staff i was getting very frustrated, the bathroom was unsuitable as water was leaking through the lights and there is no windows to the bathroom. I asked for them to pay for alternative accommodation to be told no we wouldn’t do that. Rent was due next day and when i advised i wouldn’t pay it miraculously someone was at the property 30 minutes later and fixed the problem.
In June i decided due to this poor experience i would find another property to live in after advising them at the end of June/start of July i would be leaving the property at the end of august they then tried to con me out of my deposit and more. they advised i would need to pay for a re letting fee and i would also have to pay rent for the property until another tenant was fount, numerous calls and emails of them saying that’s there policy and it was in my contract, i asked them to prove where in my contract it was stated and they couldn’t show me.
After fighting with Beth Bainbridge and Amy Shearing advising if they tried to take my deposit for any other reason then property damage i think they finally realised they were in the wrong.
I have now moved out of the property and have received and email to advise i will be receiving my deposit back.
Before leaving the property they had arranged viewing for the property without my knowledge, luckily i was there when the first person to show the potential tenants arrived and i had get the viewing cancelled. i asked why i wasn’t told and the excuse was the person who booked it Bianca is an assistant from the Philippines so she didn’t do things the way they would have in branch.
this company has been nothing but a nightmare, stay as far away from them as possible.
