Terrible customer service. I ordered an item online, for click and collect. It said it would be ready for collection in 3-5 days. However, I didn't hear anything so I called them on day 3. I was very rudely and abruptly told they still had 2 days to fulfill the order. I didn't hear anything on day 4 or day 5 so on day 7 I called again. I was told it hadn't been despatched from the warehouse yet. I said it was for a present and I needed it the same day, or I would have to cancel the order. A couple of hours later I received an email to say it was ready for collection from the Kingston-upon-Thames store! Great news, however when I went to collect it I was "served" by the rudest and most uninterested customer service assistant I've ever had the misfortune to encounter. Overall a really disappointing and unpleasant experience with the one team whose job it is to be customer facing!!

Used this site multiple times and never had an issue. Not sure what the other people were saying about delayed shipping from China when this is a British company and everything comes from the UK. Perhaps they have been on a different site?

Had a problem with delivery when ringing up to query it the telephone staff were amazing , went above and beyond to help.And the quality of the item was amazing too thank you

I had a very disappointing experience today at Fenwick Brent Cross while trying to return a pair of jeans that I had purchased just four days earlier for £98 at full price.

The jeans were the regular length, and after trying them on properly at home, I realised I was not happy with the fit and intended to return them and purchase the short-length version instead. The original tags were still attached, and the jeans had not been worn.

Unfortunately, the cashier, a petite lady with dark straight hair (I did not get her name), refused the return, claiming there was a stain on the trousers. I was extremely surprised, as I had never noticed any stain when I bought them. I explained that the mark must have already been there at the time of purchase, but she repeatedly insisted that this was “impossible” and implied that I was being dishonest.

What upset me most was not the refusal itself, but the way I was treated. The cashier was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the conversation. She kept repeating that Fenwick would never sell stained clothing and did not appear willing to listen to my concerns.

When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that I would have to come back on Tuesday. I explained that I work all week and could not easily make another trip, but her response was simply, “I’ve given you a solution, it’s up to you.”

As a customer spending nearly £100 on an item, I expected a much higher standard of customer service. Being spoken to in such a dismissive manner and made to feel like I was lying was unacceptable. I hope Fenwick reviews both its customer service standards and its approach to handling reasonable return enquiries.

Over the last year, the Women’s clothing brands I usually come in for in Fenwick such as Marni, MM6, Rabanne, Lemaire, Stella McCartney etc. have been removed from the Women’s section and replaced with lower quality/price point brands that try to imitate the above. The variety and status of clothes sold have dropped and is now disappointing. I would not visit again if the quality remains low.

After leaving a 1 star review for terrible customer service, Fenwick responded stating " I see that that customer services are dealing with your issue!!" What?? Absolute worst department store I have ever dealt with. They just do not seem to have learned anything as consistently regularly still receiving 1 star reviews!! So awful.

Fenwick like to put things on sale, oversell and then pretend it was a pricing error but also in their email have someone write to you personally to accuse you of buying 'in bulk' 'to resell' when buying two pieces of separate furniture. Awful company, cover their own incompetence with baseless accusations in customer service emails. Avoid.

Ordered a Ralph Lauren product that I had seen in store. I ordered it online after thinking about it as I couldn’t get back to the store. Arrived today and all in order !!

I was about to purchase a perfume that came up when I clicked through from the promotion banner that is still currently live on their website. Once I'd added the perfume to my basket, I attempted to add the promotional code and it did not work. I decided to contact the customer services email to query this (with full screenshots to show the issue!) and the response I received was strangely dismissive and abrasive. I was told the promotion had ended months ago and essentially that was that. Interestingly, when attempting to locate the specific perfume via the promotional banner on their home screen now, I'm no longer able to locate it. If a mistake was made, just admit a mistake was made! Don't try and make out the promotion is months old when it's still very much the centre of the website currently!

Ordered a couple of polo shirts from this company, items in stock, payment processed and all good. The next day, receive an email saying the order has been cancelled for both items, absolutely no reason given why. It seems this is a fairly common occurrence with them. The company appears to be charlatans and, probably, best avoided if you ever want to receive the items that you purchased in good faith.

Fenwick will always be my favourite store. I’ve shopped the Canterbury store since it was Ricemans and now I also buy on line.
Always great quality and service. Sometimes you can find cheaper elsewhere but I value Fenwick and enjoy spending my money with them.

We visited Fenwicks in Newcastle and the first stand we walked past was the Creed stand which we just had to write a review about the service received. Theresa gave excellent customer service, able to provide a lot of knowledge on the range of fragrances offered and we came away thinking wow what great service. Don’t see this as much nowadays so was great experience. Thanks to this lady for being amazing and very helpful

A regular customer purchasing high value fragrance. One arrived broken, scratched, and leaking. I sent all the images needed with a full explanation. The Fenwick process is not helpful, fair or a positive customer experience. In fact, it relies on the customer doing all the work. Repackage, return, wait for the refund, then repurchase if you want. Nothing for Fenwick to do.... So i've decided rather than spend my money with Fenwick again, ill just go to other companies with better policies and service. Thought Id share my views. 1 star. Thanks for taking my money and sending me a broken glass. Never again.
