Great club, has recently had a refurbishment, all new kit, the glute section is amazing, also 3 squat racks and strength equipment that would suit the most experienced people, the functional training area has plenty of kit including two heavy boxing bags, the team at this club really make it a great place to be, they love helping people and making sure you are getting the most out of your workouts.

My experience with Énergie Fitness Thornton Heath has been extremely concerning and frustrating.

I initially signed up through their website for what was advertised as a free trial. Shortly after registering, I received an email stating that I had been placed on a £25 monthly membership. This was already confusing because this membership option does not appear anywhere on their website.

I attended the gym once but later decided it was not suitable for me. When I cancelled the direct debit, I was suddenly told that I was apparently locked into a 12-month contract and owed arrears. This was the first time I had ever been informed that a 12-month commitment even existed.

They later sent a supposed “contract” that I had never seen before, claiming it was agreed to during sign-up. At no stage during the registration process was it made clear that I was entering into a long-term contract.

Now they are threatening to send the matter to debt collectors over these alleged arrears.

Important contractual terms such as a 12-month commitment should be clearly explained before someone signs up. In this case the process felt extremely unclear and misleading.

I hope the gym improves transparency in its sign-up process so that other people do not find themselves in the same situation.

The staff are great, very professional, honest and welcoming. All of the equipment is clean, first rate and clearly signed for use.
The atmosphere is very friendly, as are the great majority of customers.

Changed my direct debit to double without prior notice. When I challenged this they advised they sent an email which I haven’t received!!! The manager at the Scunthorpe branch is very rude and abrupt and doesn’t listen. Not recommended

Energie fitness Thornton Heath is a an excellent gym, with supportive staff and friendly members. As an older member and no longer lift to much heavy weights. The gym and it’s equipment is adequate for how I now train and take care of my body.

Energie Fitness is an excellent gym in a very convenient town centre location, with the added benefit of decent parking nearby which makes visits easy at any time of day. The facilities are well maintained, modern, and suitable for a wide range of workouts. The gym is consistently very clean, which makes the environment comfortable and welcoming. The staff are friendly, approachable, and always happy to help. Overall, a well-run gym that creates a positive and motivating atmosphere for members at all fitness levels.

Charlotte leech is my amazing PT. Her knowledge, experience and guidance are a huge help in my journey building confidence again in getting fitter and stronger. I highly recommend her if you’re looking for a great PT

The staff are polite and kind, however the gym leaves something to be desired; it has very few machines for leg workouts and the bathroom is sometimes very cold. Also, there isn't a large mirror so you can see yourself when checking your body measurements.

A great gym with fantastic staff. There is always a buzz about the place, the staff are ace the kit is great and they are always looking to add new stuff too. If you need a top class PT, ask for Charlotte L, she is awesome and always produces fantastic results.

The 5 stars are for Naill my PT, he's been working with me for a while now and still keeps the training fun, engaging and challenging! Top guy too.

A huge shout out to Niall PT and Charlotte at the gym. They are so motivating and really push you. The gym itself has a great atmosphere and is never too crowded during my usual Monday morning and Saturday sessions

I'm a middle aged female and am absolutely loving it there since joining in January 2026.
The staff_ trainers are really motivating and so nice to deal with .
Lana, Maggie, and Adrian are the 3 trainers that I'm mostly with.
All classes are so good. I particularly love the spin class.
Its well worth checking out .

Very good gym the staff are also kind and helpful but it can be quite busy at most times but all the people are nice to you so its a very good place with lots of machines and space to workout

Love this gym! Love training with Charlotte L, she has altered my training plan to ensure I am still training whilst injured and really encouraged me through it! Couldn’t recommend Charlotte and the gym more 👏🏼

I've been coming to Ricky Hatton Fitness Hyde to work with Charlotte Leech as my personal trainer. I'm currently on a weight loss and improved fitness journey. Charlotte has been crucial to me in this journey to date. The knowledge, the understanding etc and keeping me accountable has aided me no end. The rest of the staff in there all all pleasant and the gym does feel like a true community. Don't put off today, reach out to them and start yours. Ehsan
