My daughter had student gadget & contents insurance with Endsleigh in her 1st year at uni. It recently came to renewal time (for year 2) and I rang and paid the full premium over the phone (£350). I then received an email advising that the policy had been cancelled and I owed a further £30!! When I called them it was discovered that the lady on the phone, who took the payment, had made a massive error and the policy had been cancelled by mistake.
However, they apparantly no longer offer new student policies, they just direct everyone to protectmybubble.com, so even though they admitted it was their fault, they refused to reinstate the policy.
My daughter can't take out a protectmybubble.com policy as they only offer cover for gadgets less than 6 months old and they don't offer contents insurance at all.
VERY POOR SERVICE from Endsleigh - they made a mistake and refuse to correct it! BEWARE!!

The actual customer service was great. The customer services advisor was helpful and managed to help me with my query quickly. He was very polite and friendly.

Took out car insurance with them via a comparison site and price was very good for 1st year

This is one of those companies where you wish you could give zero stars. Absolutely terrible customer service. They offered a renewal on a policy which I accepted. When I called to pay they said they had cancelled it!

Had a very helpful person on the phone and couldn't be more helpful and did her job very well and very knowledgeable.

I received the renewal email on the 22nd of September. And in the email it said if I want to cancel the insurance it has to be done BY the 22nd. Nigh on impossible.

15 minutes to answer the phone.

No contact number on the website even though it asks you to call them to update details for some reason

You cannot change your address on the system

They keep your bank details on the system for autorenewal rather than letting you opt in when in fact you should be opted out and elect to opt in.

They did not know the renewal date and when I gave them the reference number on the website they said they could not use that and wanted no less than 6 bits of ID for security (which not even the banks require).

To cap it all, you cannot even renew the plan online according to the call handler which is absurd in this age.

Really not impressive!

I've been with Endsleigh for years and never had any problems. The staff are knowledgeable and courteous.

Been with Endsleigh for over 20 years with landlord insurance.
Have always left excellent reviews, unfortunately not this time.
Extremely disappointed with my renewal this time. Felt cast aside will not be insuring my other property at their renewal.

Provided a renewal quote that was 7 times the premium for last year. No claims or changes to my personal circumstances. Don't insult my intelligence or waste my time, or hope that I don't read the renewal letter so I automatically renew at the new extortionate rate.

Faye who took the call was really professional , helpful and gave great recommendation. I called up in the past and had an awful service but when I called and go through to Faye she restored my hope in the business. A true asset to the company

During the time I used Endsliegh I never had any problems and found them very helpful whenever I needed them

When I was talking through the phone everyone was very nice and welcoming even when after I finished my contract with Endsleigh

This is the first time I have used them and the have been great helpful and make it easy to use there website and quick to get through to a human which is a big thing for me

After receiving an email and ringing the helpline number the gentleman on the phone was extremely helpful and could see what the issue was and resolved it straight away. Really put my mind at rest.
