We had an incredible East African safari experience through Tanzania, Zanzibar, Botswana, and Zimbabwe, finishing with four wonderful days in beautiful Cape Town and its surrounds, all organised by Lyndal and her team at Eclipse Travel.

Lyndal’s advice on our itinerary was absolutely spot on. Given the complexity of our trip, the travel documents and instructions were exceptionally detailed and accurate, and everything ran seamlessly from start to finish.

The tour operators in each country were outstanding: professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. The standard of accommodation throughout the camps and lodges was superb and exceeded our expectations.

Super Service, quick response to emails, customer account with all documents

The 2 safari guides were excellent, they did everything possible to make this adventure as good as possible. There were things out there control 1. The safari vehicle 2. The conditions of the roads 3. Itinerary . All the staff involved in the trip were wonderful. The trip lived up to all my expectations, several tweeks though could improve the whole experience.

We recently returned from an incredible journey through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia, organised by Eclipse Travel, and it truly was an unforgettable experience.
Our consultant, Cathy Allden, was fantastic from start to finish—knowledgeable, attentive and incredibly helpful in putting together a wonderful itinerary covering our flights, accommodation, transfers, tours and safaris. Everything was so well organised, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment of our journey.
One of the highlights was our Kruger safari, where we experienced incredible wildlife encounters and had the opportunity to see Africa’s amazing animals up close in their natural surroundings. From the spectacular wildlife of South Africa and Botswana to the magic of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and Zambia, every part of the trip created memories we will treasure for years to come.
The organisation and attention to detail from Eclipse Travel made the entire journey seamless and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better itinerary or a more memorable African adventure.

Amazing tour to Uganda to see primates and other African wildlife excellently organised in Australia by Lyndal who booked my other flights for ongoing legs of my holiday. In Uganda our guide/driver Jude was knowledgeable and generous in sharing insights. The chimpanzee and gorilla tracking days were the highlights and during the visits to other national parks we saw lots of other animals including an incredible variety of birds, leopards and a lioness in a tree. The vehicle was comfortable and the small group nature of the trip made for interesting conversations. Can’t recommend this more if you’re looking for a well rounded visit to see our closest relatives and other fascinating wildlife.

I wanted a hard to get tour ar short notice. Eclipse made it possible. Although I live in Australia I was well supported by Cathy Allden in the NZ office. When difficulties arose Cathy was available. Altogether, Eclipse provided excellent service, both through Cathy and the corporate office. Very pleased and recommend using Eclipse.

The trip was good and Lara was always responsive and helpful.

We used Eclipse Travel for our recent trip to Peru. Blake was excellent to deal with, arranging our itinerary and booking our flights. It was so well organised. Allison and Tiffany were also great to deal with and made sure all our documents were on the portal. Any questions I had were answered promptly. I would highly recommend Eclipse Travel and will definitely use them again.

Overall, we were very happy with our trip and we had a wonderful experience although we did find the itinerary quite full on with little time to relax between activities.
Most of the lodges were excellent with the exception of Eileen’s Tree Inn. While the rooms were comfortable the food and service were not up to standard of the other lodges.
Before we left I asked about water availability and was told it was our responsibility to take refillable bottles and fill up at the lodges. In practice Takims provided 1.5 litres of bottled water per person per day and Game Watchers had a large filtered water dispenser with refillable bottles provided, which worked well. It would be helpful if this information were provided to travellers beforehand.
Overall, it was a fabulous trip and hope this feedback is useful for future travellers.

Great advice and all bookings they organised worked smoothly

Communication with everyone at eclipse has just been fantastic. Our safari to tanzania , East africa was just awesome. It was clear that all the planning and preparation by eclipse and their Tanzanian partners set us up for the most amazing family adventure you could imagine. We changed our itinerary a few times prior to departure and Eclipse quickly provided alternatives for consideration. Their communication regarding flight itineraries, accommodation, game parks and what to expect was first class. They are all travellers so they speak from experience.

Tireless guides from predawn to night every day. Amazing experiences with animals and scenery due to thorough local knowledge. Great, healthy food every meal. Wonderful accommodation despite basic rating
