What a dreadful experience. Do not use this company or book through booking.com

This is a con and dodgy company. They wouldn't give me the car as I had a few legal points on my licence. I was left in the middle of an industrial estate, feeling quite unsafe. I then had to spend extra on a cab home. Booking.com would not give me my money back even though ai booked it within 24 hours. This is going to be taken further.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE DO NOT RENT

We hired the car for a round trip to Devon, a journey of approximately 3.5 hours each way. Because the vehicle you supplied could not be reliably charged, that journey took over six hours and we only got halfway before being forced to abandon it for the night. The return journey on Sunday was the same, spending almost 12 hours looking for chargers that worked with the car, only to result in prioritizing getting the car, and ourselves, back safely with only 10 miles left on charge.

The vehicle, a Zoe Renault, was not compatible with the great majority of public charge points on our route. Over the course of the day we attempted to charge at more than 17 separate charging points. Only one or two accepted the vehicle at all, and then only intermittently, effectively by chance rather than by design. At no point during collection were we told that the car required a specific connector type or network, nor were we given any guidance, adapter, or charging card to make the vehicle usable on a long-distance route.

As a direct result:
- A 3.5-hour drive took over 6 hours and covered only half the distance.
- We were unable to reach our destination and had to book unplanned overnight accommodation in Andover, at a cost of £75, after already paying for our airbnb in Devon, effectively paying for an unused night stay.
- Same thing happened on the drive back. We looked for a charger from 11am, and returned the car at 10pm with little mileage, only because we gave up looking and prioritized getting the car back safe, even if that meant no charge.
- We lost the entire weekend we had hired the car for.

To make matters worse, we were charged for the car twice because we picked up late - after attempting to call Drivalia 3 times in advance to let them know we had an emergency and would need a later pick up time.

A hire vehicle must be fit for the purpose for which it was hired. An electric vehicle that cannot be charged on ordinary public infrastructure is not a usable car, it is not roadworthy in any practical sense for the journey we hired it for. The failure here was not a charging network outage affecting all drivers; it was a vehicle-specific incompatibility that you knew or should have known about, and did not disclose.

We have lost over 300gbp due to this experience.

I have escalated this to their team with no response, and will continue perusing legal action.

Went for the cheap option and regret it. An untrustworthy company with terrible customer service. Rude and unhelpful in call centre and in the rental office. Collection point in a hidden car park behind converted office block into HMOs, felt unsafe / dodgy from the moment I arrived. AVOID!

Excellent service at Drivalia Park royal branch. The guy at desk whose name was Anish was a super helpful guy. He ensured that the whole process went smooth. Even he recommended the insurance option which I also felt as a good and safe option to drive on. Overall very good experience, would definitely recommend the park royal branch for future use.

Unbelievable! We booked a car a MONTH AGO and we were due to pick it up today. We got a message yesterday that there weren't any cars at the time we selected, and that we'd need to do a later pickup. We were just about to head out when we got a message that there were NO CARS AVAILABLE at our location in Stonebridge Park, and that they recommended we pick up a car ALL THE WAY IN HEATHROW.

Now we're stuck without a car and having to scramble to make last minute, very expensive travel plans. NEVER rely on them, they don't manage their inventory well!

Amish was very helpful, polite and professional.
He took time to show me some of the features of the car.
I would definitely use Drivalia again.

I have used the Park Royal Branch in London a few times and the guys there are excellent. The service is simple and the attitude is pleasant and flexible. On one occassion they opened up early so that i could collect on a bank holiday. You don't see other rental firms offering that level of service.

Rates are competitive too. A hidden gem of a rental agency

Decent car at a very competitive price. Helpful attendant on the desk too. Quick pick up. Inside of the car was clean but outside was quite dirty.

Absolute bunch of crooks. Closed their shop early therefore I could not rent the car I had booked and paid for. Then they say since I contacted them after the time of the booking I cannot get a refund. They've created a catch22. They did not answer their phone during any of this time. I will never use them again and would suggest others do the same.

Anish at the Park Royal branch was wonderful and my experience as a first time user was not disappointing. I will definitely use them again and really felt I received the personal touch especially should i wish to use them again in the future.

I’m collecting a car now and the car I booked last week is not available. The only available electric option is a smaller car, which so would accept. Unfortunately the car is filthy. Crap all the back. Used tissues. A centre console full of loose oily peanuts and in need of a good hoover out too. It’s also dirty on the exterior but that would be easy to forgive if everything else was OK.
I came for the competitive pricing but right now I absolutely regret it.

The staff was very friendly and explained everything well. The car was not exactly what I ordered but was a good substitute and 25 plate.
I was able to extend my lease via the app which was easy to do.
Overall experience was very good and would use them again.
