Terrible return policy. Only store credit. They sell clothes that are cheap material that you can find on shein, temu or amazon.

Don't buy from them
Don't buy from them. I returned a top the beginning of January and still don't have a refund credit. They just give you an excuse of being busy from the holidays and its March now. Will not buy from them again
If I Could Give No Stars, I Would.
I have purchased from Dressbarn for many years and was happy with the quality of their clothes until recently. I received two tops that were absolute garbage and received a return label from them in October and sent the items back. They received my returns in November (I tracked the package). Since November, I have emailed them nine times with ZERO response, and called on several occasions to just be put on hold forever until I finally hang up. Their corporate office number listed online is the same phone line as customer service, with no response from anyone. After almost 4 months of being completely ignored, I filed a claim with my bank and they are going to credit me my money back. I will never order from them again.
I agree with others
I agree with others. I tried returning two pairs of pants and they told me that I sent them back covered in pet hair, which is completely untrue. They said it’s against their policy. I tried them on and when they didn’t fit, I placed them right back into the bag they came in. Unbelievable. I liked the stores but will NEVER order their clothes on-line again.
Where is the ZERO star option?
It's a one star because ZERO stars is not an option. Over the years I have bought a lot of things from Dressbarn, and been very happy. Recent experience has put an absolute end to that consumer relationship. I finally managed to get a return label for 2 items. They haven't been seen since ("tracking unavailable") and no credit has been issued. There is no option to cancel the part of the order that was never sent. Many emails, always responded to with an automated "we'll get back to you" but it never happens, no phone number to call, the "virtual assistant" on their website can never seem to find anyone to help. Impossible.

I agree with previous complaints. I purchased two tops, which were the same style, same size, just different colors. One was too small I contacted customer service and was told that I could send the item back, that I would have to pay the postage, and that I would only get a store credit!! Basically all sales are final and you do not get a refund, plus they make you pay again for postage. I will not be doing business with them again, and have been a long time customer.

I ordered 4 shirts received 3. Shirts. Trying to email to either send the rest of the order or refund it. I never ever heard anything back I sent 6 emails at least and it’s been 2 months now which I have to call to dispute my transaction.
Don’t order from this company!
Don’t order from this company, they steal your money and you have no recourse. They will never send you your merchandise. They don’t have a phone number and they won’t answer any emails or messages. Something should be done about this company taking peoples money and never getting what you ordered. I would contact my bank but unfortunately I used gift cards.

I ordered an item early January which came late, the leggings were not what i expected at all. I have attempted several times to email them to get these leggings returned for a FULL credit. I was sent a confirmation to my initial email by a "robot" on 1/6/23 and that was the last i heard from them. I then emailed 2 more times requesting my refund and still have not heard back. Attempted to call the customer service number but that is no longer a valid number!! I will now file a fraud charge with my bank.
Worst customer service experience!!!
I placed an order online on November 25th. I have been emailing customer service over and over. They responded to me only twice since December 5, 2022. I keep sending them emails about my order and no one has responded so then I requested a refund 3 times and still no response. There is no customer service phone number. I will NEVER order from dress barn ever again. Very poor customer service! I am very disappointed.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. You can't return anything because they have to send you a label to return it, and customer service never replies with the needed address. When you call, you get an automated message. When you chat, you get an automated message. See a theme here? I'm not sure anyone works there. I have a top that is 2 sizes too small and another top that I was charged for and never received. So...in the end they have my money and I have nothing. AND...if you ever do get to return a purchase, they give you store credit only. Seriously? I don't plan to ever shop with them again. Worst Customer Service ever! Expensive lesson. How they continue to be in business I will never know.

Dressbarn is just stealing from its customers at this point. I still have not received items from a Nov. 13 order. After trying to message, email, call regularly about this, figured leaving a review could be the only way to get an answer. I would like a full refund of actual money- not store credit. Some of the items aren't even available any more on the website. My order number is 1541760.

This company is an scam and I wish I had read these reviews before. They are using the name Dressbarn and the products look nothing like the ones for that company that closed in 2019. I ordered two pair of pants
I ordered two pair of pants. They were too small. I had to pay to return them which I did. Now for over 3 months I have not received my refund. They said it would be store credit. I don't want this but I still haven't received the store credit either. They had the nerve to say they sent it to my email address and to confirm my email address. They have managed to communicate with me through the exact email and now they are lying and saying they sent it. When I said I hadn't received anything then they want me to confirm when they already know they haven't done anything to return my money. They have their merchandise back and I am still emailing trying to obtain my money. This store is a total scam and something has to be done about this. This is a CRIME and they are FRAUDSTERS.

Dressbarn online is the WORST online ordering experience I've ever had. I ordered a size 10 straight leg capri. Something evidently happened like a glitch in the ordering process, because I received a size 4 capri with a dolphin hem! How did it switch the order??? And, I was never made aware that they do not refund credit cards or give paid return labels as do most other companies providing online ordering! I don't want store credit! I want a total refund for receiving the wrong merchandise! I certainly don't trust them to send the correct item! I will NEVER do business with Dressbarn again!

Will never buy from Dressbarn again. Ordered a cute dress, it didn’t fit, so I needed to return it. First - you cannot talk to anyone - no phone number anywhere so you have to send email. Second - I returned with the label they emailed me and they charged me $13.92 for shipping. Third and worst is you don’t get your money back - you get a Dressbarn credit to use for another purchase. So I paid $52.66 and received an online gift card of $38.64!! WHAT???? Never again.

Avoid this online retailer like you would the plague!!! I should have read the reviews first before ordering. Dress barn took $99 from me for a dress, sent emails that it had shipped, only to find out it hadn’t shipped! I contacted customer service via email, phone, and chat to cancel the order. When I presented evidence that everything they were saying was untrue, the customer service reps came up with another deceitful response! Was told it could take up to 21 days to receive my order. There has to be a way to shut this down! This is just one of the companies Retail Ecommerce Ventures, Alex Mehr and his partner Tai Lopez are responsible for bringing back online!!! These guys are MILLIONAIRES! They’re making big money through fraudulent business tactics. How is this even legal? I filled a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission to investigate them.
SHAM COMPANY
This is a sham company that purchased the Dressbarn name after their store fronts closed. Not realizing, I purchased three pair of shorts. Took 4 weeks to receive, the material was cheap and the fit was made for an animal other than a human. There is no return label, no free returns and no phone number to call customer service. I used the chat and the email. No response. I took a chance and shipped to an address I found online using tracking and signature required that cost $20. Finally, three weeks later, I receive an email with a supposed "store credit". I'm out $100.00. DO NOT USE THIS SHAM COMPANY. IT'S NOT DRESSBARN.
