D M Design Anmeldelser 

Well, where do I start! I Will be forever grateful to Ferdi and his team from grampian building Ltd!   They were responsible for fitting my kitchen, from DM Designs... a small kitchen but a huge task, with lots of complexities along the way!  The boys were professional, and my goodness they worked hard... a 2 day job took 4 days due to a burst water mains half way through, but they worked tirelessly from 830-8pm most days! They were  knowledgeable, polite, courteous and cleaned as they went.  As you will know, the weather has been horrific, and the boys worked outside, in the snow , purely to avoid my house getting too dusty. I honestly can say I've never met 2 trades men to work as hard as they did,  and I didn't hear a complaint from them once.     I've asked them to pop back and do a few other jobs around the house, and would 100% recommend them for any work required. It's going to feel odd not having the boys in!  Thanks so much!  We couldn't be more glad for DM designs to have chosen the company, as they genuinely went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. Glad to now know about grampian building Ltd!!

I had my bathroom installed by DM Design a few years ago and have been plagued by bad smell periodically ever since. There were also leaks through the tiling in the shower area. Eventually the wall board has given way and I had it ripped today to redo the shower area. We found that the shower drain was not sealed to the main drain and had been leaking all along under the tray. We now have to replace 3 joists as well. Very very unprofessional workmanship. Seriously disappointed.

I had a pre arranged visit last night from Jake Campbell from DM Design to discuss a replacement kitchen. Although due to circumstances I’m not going ahead with any renewal at present I just wanted to let the company (and anyone thinking of buying) know that he’s an asset to them. Turned up on time, really confident, pleasant and knowledgeable, listened to what I was after and taking into account my budget came up with a great package for me that, as I say if circumstances hadn’t changed, I would have been delighted to accept. Also he didn’t take 3 hours to conclude which is a definite bonus!

I would like to commend D M Design on their aftersales service, even for a small replacement job on a tap several years after they installed it. I had a tap which was leaking water under my sink and D M Design sent someone to replace the faulty part first thing next morning for a nominal and very reasonable price. Thank you D M Design for going above and
beyond your obligations.

As I get older I find I have become less and less trusting of companies who seem to promise the Earth and then don't do a good job... this was NOT the case with DM Design and I have to say that dealing with this company has somewhat restored my faith in humanity :-)

Our bathroom was in a very bad way and needed a complete overhaul; to such a degree that even the walls and the floors had to be taken out - even some of the joists were rotten to due a leak we hadn't been aware of until the problems started to appear a long time later.

I felt reassured as soon as the DM Design Dynamic Duo, Simon and Daniel, arrived. They were polite and conscientious and I could tell right away that doing the best job they could was really important to them.

They noticed and suggested little details I wouldn't have thought of; just things like the way the tiles could be laid out that would look much better. The job was a huge one and we were told it would take two weeks... these guys worked really hard to get it done on time.

We've had so many compliments to our new bathroom and even now - over a year since it was installed, I still feel grateful we chose DM Design.

While I do actually love the finished result, it’s been a nightmare getting there!

Sales: I absolutely HATED the sales talk, the little game with the 2 prices written on wee bits of paper - today’s price vs regular price. I certainly wasn’t ready to pay the regular price - I got it for £7,000 less than what was written, but whether I got a good deal I can’t be sure. He messed about with figures, tried to get me to have storage built in to one of my bedrooms to bring the price back up, but no, I refused.
We discussed everything and he explained that the surveyor would come out and until his work was done, I could still change my mind about colours etc.
When the surveyor came out I did change my mind about the worktop. I was also given a choice about the ceiling (with chrome strips available) and the sink (with chevron drain board) that the design consultant hadn’t even mentioned at our meeting. On my order, the design consultant had forgotten to make note of a couple of things, one being the plinth lights but the surveyor called and got clarification on that.
As the 3-day installation got under way, the doors were brought in and a couple were hung when I noticed the woodgrain was running vertically and I had chosen horizontal with the design consultant. He somehow had forgotten to make a note of that!!! The installer made a call to the company and I received a call from someone who didn’t even introduce himself and who basically was telling me I should have checked the contract I’d signed! WHAT???? Turned out when I asked who he was, he was the operations manager, Ben. He was trying to blame ME for their mistake!! Between the design consultant and the surveyor, they had ruined my kitchen!!!! To say I was furious is an understatement!!! He made the excuse that normally the woodgrain runs vertically but thankfully I had their brochure with my choice in style in one photo and the colour I’d opted for right there on the same page!!! I told them they’d better sort out their mess… AND a few other choice words!!! WHAT INCOMPETENCE!!!

Next morning my new doors were delivered and work progressed. The installers were fantastic, Alan and Craig and the electrician. Declan, was a gem. Michael, the plumber was great, too. However the sink I got, wasn’t the one I’d chosen - the design consultant hadn’t told me I had a choice of drain board designs, so when I was given a choice by the surveyor, I changed it from the original order. Somehow that message wasn’t relayed to the right person and I didn’t get the sink I’d ordered. So many mistakes!!!
On day 5 of the 3-day installation, both installers failed to show up. When I phoned the next morning I was told by the receptionist that they had had a bad day, with loads of absences…. Couldn’t they have informed me???
The job was finished on day 8, when my gas cooker was reconnected.

Yes, I do love my new kitchen. The transformation is incredible. The stress has been terrible, though! A blatant disregard for the customer and any inconvenience caused by their incompetence and inefficiency means I would never recommend this company. The people at the top clearly don’t give a damn. They have zero PR skills, too! Shocking, disgusting and unacceptable!!!!

We are very pleased with the recent job you have done, knocking down a wall, building another wall and fitting new wardrobes.

The fact you were able to do all the work was fantastic and you made everything very easy for us. The workmen were all very helpful and professional too.

I would definitely recommend your company and consider using you again for other jobs in the future.

Absolutely wonderful! Amazing quality and service, the guys are all really friendly & explain things if you need them to. Couldn’t recommend dm designs highly enough, honestly from start to finish everyone has been great and it’s been a really smooth process. So so happy with my kitchen.

I had a great experience with DM Design. Right from design through to installation can't fault them. Had a couple of wee niggles since but customer services so far have been excellent. Love my kitchen and all my family and friends have admired it greatly.

Just had a kitchen re face doors worktops breakfast bar sink we were absolutely delighted with the end result from sales person to estimator to fitters they were all so particular to detail would highly recommend DM Design

Anne arrived on time and spent hours designing a kitchen that far exceeded my expectations, I've had a few of these appointments recently and never felt satisfied or listened to.
Anne has superior design abilities her attention to detail is phenomenal

Kitchen quality good. Appliances ok.
Various issues due to misunderstanding or miscommunication. Fitters were a mixed bag - some very good / helpful, others couldn't be bothered.
Customer Service very poor.
Better options available. Based on our experience not been pleasant and couldn't recommend to anyone.

We are so happy we signed the contract for a new kitchen last night with Anne Law.
Anne came to our house and spent hours designing a kitchen. We had a few ideas of our own that Anne was happy to accommodate in the design, however she gave us good advice and was just as excited as us, by the time we signed the contract.
Can’t thank Anne enough for her patience & knowledge of kitchen units & appliances.
We are now excited for the next step .

Fitter arrived on time and was very helpful in arranging room and covering up furniture with dust sheets
Work was done very professionally and to a high standard and they cleaned up afterwards
We both are delighted with our fitted wardrobes and would like to thank everyone involved from start to finish

Purchased a kitchen from DMDesign in 2019, absolutely beautiful and no issues with installation (which was rapid) or final result. Just had an accident this last week with one of the cabinet doors (which needed complete replacement).
Called DMDesign on the Wed, one of their fitters Chris O’Dwye, was here on the Friday. All repaired and finished beautifully!
What a fantastic service, from the company and also their fitter Chris!

I recently purchased a kitchen from DM Design, due to Covid the whole process was delayed though not their fault. I was supply only however the kitchen was delivered when scheduled and any issues were quickly resolved by the team. The surveyor James was very helpful and was answering my emails outside business hours which was really appreciated. The kitchen feels really good quality even though I did not go for the most expensive options. Would definitely recommend.

DM Design gave a fantastic experience from the initial introduction to snagging - throughout this process they demonstrated a great design to installation service. The floor to ceiling wardrobes and side shelves they installed are today like new, 3-years later! Outstanding product.

I am so pleased with my new bedroom. From design to installation, I cannot fault it. Anne, the designer, a lovely lady, so easy to talk too, was very helpful and great at making suggestions. She even came back to make sure everything was as I'd hoped once installation was complete. Was a bit disappointed she did not see the room in its finished state. Can't not mention Robert, the joiner, he was very helpful and made a great job. I was impressed when, after discovering the wrong handles had been sent, a workman was despatched from Glasgow with the correct ones.
