D M Design Anmeldelser 

I engaged DM Design services to fit a kitchen and bedroom for my elderly relatives. There was a very short timescale for the fitting which DM Design agreed to meet and I would suggest the price reflected this.
From the minute the invoice was paid and fitting commenced, communication and coordination of the job completely failed. I found myself driving to the showroom on multiple occasions due to unanswered calls / emails, failure of trades to attend and on two occasions I spoke to the Regional Manager highlighting the lack of communication and the frustration it was causing, clearly the timescales were not going to be met and were extended. The job started in Oct 2021 and still remains incomplete today.
The coordination between customer services and trades just doesn’t exist.
I strongly advise anyone considering to use DM Design for any work reads this review and takes it on board. I had read negative reviews and highlighted these with the sales team only to be assured those matters have been resolved. They have not, I would suggest using other reputable companies and wait until they are available, as we should have done.

*Trustpilot contacted me today as DM Design sought more information I provided invoice and account numbers, I was advised DM Design are disputing the authenticity of this review. I have provided Trustpilot with invoices and orders on PDF provided by email from DM Design customer service team. I will now collate a full chronology of all communications which I will send to DM Design and will willingly publish, in addition, I will now seek legal guidance to conclude this matter. Integrity is a core belief I hold dearly and will happily continue this matter until DM Design retract the clear implication that I am a Liar.

The job is in my mother in laws name however all communications have been directed via me and I have coordinated the job due to the age of my in laws and their health.

David from customer services emailed me at 0847hrs this morning.

I think you have reinforced the very point I’m making. Communication is seriously lacking.

Great company, Easy from start to finish. Sales people where fantastic nothing was to much hassle. Thank you DM Design

I had a very good experience with DM Design from start through to completion.
The Fitters were terrific, a great bunch and dealing with the Sales Team was very straightforward and After-Sales provided the "touch-up" paint required after a small domestic issue! A quality kitchen

I would seriously urge anyone to think twice before using this company. Reading through the previous reviews it would seem these are recurring issues with them. Endless days off needed, lots of time wasted chasing them, customer service is terrible and the finish is appalling. We had to fight to get someone to come back and see the mess that was left and 6 weeks later still no closer to a resolution. Please don’t waste your money or energy. Nothing has been easy.

Thank you dm design for all your help. We had a few snags along the way which where quickly resolved. I am delighted with the end result and the quality is fantastic! I will most definitely be back.

The kitchen designer was extremely helpful and patient. She answered all my stupid questions and did not push me at all! Communication was brilliant throughout the install. A lovely follow up telephone post fitting to see if I had any issues.

Would recommend them to anybody!

We used them over 15 years ago for our bedroom and we just got them in to do our kitchen. What a service we got! We are both super thankful to DM design and really happy with the final outcome.

Terrible service from the start! Salesman didn’t even turn up so had to re book another visit, salesman comes and we were really happy with what we were promised only for the surveyor to come 16 days later to say that the kitchen we were sold is not possible! The guy was great and gave us what he says is the only option we have which we decided not to go ahead with, this is where things went downhill drastically, I was told on the phone by a very rude woman that due to the fact it was more than 14 days I will have to pay fees and lose my deposit, I did try and tell her that the kitchen I was sold was not possible to do she didn’t care…. I have now emailed and contacted their complaints department and have had zero reply!! Avoid!!

A great experience from start to finish. I now have a gorgeous bespoke kitchen that I love.

There were a few issues due to the odd shape of my kitchen but DM was able to work around them and produce something spectacular.

Replacement doors were wrong but sorted out and discount given, so happy ending.

My bathroom refurbishment has just been completed and I could not be happier. Superb workmanship, excellent finish, not cheap but I am delighted with with everything from sale, through design to completion.

I am delighted with my new kitchen and the whole experience dealing with DM design has been nothing but amazing!

I would highly highly recommend DM design to anybody looking to buy a new kitchen.

Bath panel needed replaced and Naz and Jamie were to cone first thing but showed up after lunch, still ongoing issues

I'll not go into the full story as I'm sure no one would read it such is its length!

Basically, I've complained to both the ICO and FOS regarding DM Design, their practises and treatment of customers. I did contact DM Design directly (repeatedly) many months ago but havent received a final response regarding the complaint or the subject access request.

I'll undoubtedly get a cheeky/ sarcastic/ rude response from DM Design in response to this review but I'd echo the many, many other customers in saying they are thieves, charlatans and generally incompetent. Avoid!

(Coincidentally, I got wonderful service and all the works quoted (eventually) at ~£28k done for less than £10k by a local kitchen fitter)

My hubby & I had a good experience After having seen an add on Facebook we contacted the above & if I'm being honest didn't think we would here back.We received a call from a very professional young man to organise an appointment.We were contacted the next day by another very nice lady to make sure we were still happy to go ahead with the appointment.Garry arrived at the correct time of appointment.Spent a good time giving us ideas on how to move forward with our new kitchen.We were told to feel free & ask any questions about any queries we might have. 10/10 so far I am slightly concerned after reading some of the reviews.Based on our experience thus far we are very happy

My kitchen was fitted in Feb 2019 and it was not made clear that the work would be sub-contracted to local fitters. The work was average at best with a few issues on delivery. Fast forward nearly three years, The dishwasher that was installed during the fitting has failed. I have today had a delivery of a new dishwasher from a well-known company and paid £90 to have it installed. They commented that the dishwasher was never installed correctly and was not secured in anyway to the cabinet or work surface. After removal they ceased work and refused to fit the dishwasher because of exposed mains. The dishwasher was obviously too deep, so the fitters smashed off the plug and ran a mains lead into the cupboard under the sink. With no attempt to conceal the exposed mains. So I have a dishwasher sat in my kitchen and £90 out of pocket.

Update: After DM Design reached out to me following this review, it has been dealt with well. I know that the kitchen fitters are no longer with DM Design which is probably for the best! I am happy with their proposal to resolve the issues and how they have dealt with everything - that should be seen as a plus. I have revised my rating and title based on this experience.

If I could give this company a minus review I would. Absolutely pathetic from the outset - terrible workmanship terrible (or no) planning or communication throughout. An absolute failure from start to end (even though I’m not at the end) and for this ‘delightful experience I’m paying 5.5k. I’m going to the trades association and the ombudsman as in my honest opinion this lot are truly disgusting- please don’t waste your time or money !

JUST A JOKE ! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE ! WHAT A MESS !INSTALLERS COULD NOT WAIT TO GET DOWN THE ROAD TO GLASGOW.THEY PUT IN SUB CONTRACTORS TO FINISH THE JOB AS PARTS MISSING.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO Not think about signing with DM Design unless you have unlimited time off work , can take immense stress, don’t mind being lied to, prepared to hand over all your money then be left with part kitchen and no one takes your calls . I have all proof in writing . Week 4 of a 3 day installation and still not finished , over 100 calls and emails unanswered. Spoke to owner , seemed appalled at pics provided but still not finished . Email after email booking in tradesman , don’t turn up , no communication, kitchen a mess . Happy to share pictures . Please don’t consider this company as they are not interested once they have your money and that is taken in full BEFORE they bring one unit into your home, then you can say goodbye to customer service or communication.

Still numerous jobs outstanding still missing parts and handles. Once again didn’t show up as promised.
Called again 13/12/21 spoke to David. Couldn’t give an answer as to why no fitters showed up? Said he would investigate and come back to me by close of business. No surprise…… no call received
Sent email for explanation, no surprise no response.
I could go on forever but have wasted enough time. They are NOT interested once you hand over your money .
I have now taken legal advice as they are so unprofessional.
Please think very strongly and do not sign up with them You will regret it…..

I’m not usually one for writing reviews but the service we have received so far has been absolutely outstanding. A special thank you to Garry Connor at DM Design who met with my partner and I this afternoon to discuss and design our new kitchen. Garry was professional, knowledgable, (patient) and so personable. We are left this evening very excited for our dream kitchen to be installed in January! Thank you again Garry.
