Alex was absolutely brilliant – was thoroughly informative and knowledgeable about the products and made sure to talk us through absolutely everything very clearly and politely. Whilst we had chosen what we wanted online, going into the store helped us to make a much more informed decision. Would highly recommend a visit if you're planning to buy!

Fabulous experience at DFS today.
Sarah was so helpful and not at all pushy. I was shown fabric samples, she helped with sizing guides and sofa care. She gave me space to measure, phone my husband and look at all of the options in my own time.
She really made my sofa buying experience enjoyable, even making my daughter a hot chocolate.
Great service and I came away feeling excited about my purchase.

Very helpful, professional and polite,and very informative

I got the euphoria sofa last October it's only ten months old, I paid more to upgrade the cushions and my sofa has severely sunken on a seat cushion.
An inspector came out and said I have to remove the arm cushion and sit next to the bare arm to balance out the sunkeness. What a load of nonsense, the sofa is constantly rippled and puddling. Their response via email is no problem with it case closed. I was told to contact an independent furniture company to seek an inspection and send any information back to DFS, all at my expense.
An absolute shambles of a company.
This is not legal under the consumer rights, as the inspector from DFS said it's not worth taking the cushion away to inspect as it won't make any difference.
Steer clear.

My mum and I visited the Chelmsford DFS store today just to have a quick look around. Within literally two seconds of walking through the doors, an older, baldish male staff member said hello. Because we were mid-conversation as we walked in, my mum misheard him slightly and politely replied, "We are okay thank you, just browsing."

Instead of a normal customer service response, he snapped back with, "I JUST SAID HELLO."

To make matters worse, he then made a rude comment under his breath to his colleagues right in front of us. It was completely sarcastic, uncalled for, and instantly made us feel incredibly uncomfortable. As they him and a young girl laughed at us.

I genuinely never write negative reviews, but there was zero need for that level of attitude over a simple, polite misunderstanding. We were completely turned off and left feeling unwelcome. Very disappointing experience.

I got to the shop 10 minutes before it was closing, the man who dealt with me was very helpful, knowledgeable and efficient and completed the sale even after the shop had closed.

We had a great experience with Sarah in Chelmsford today. She was friendly and attentive but gave us time to consider and look at other options. She made us very comfortable, offered us a drink and took the time to explain all the finance and insurance support we could consider. Very much appreciated. Made our whole buying experience seamless and easy. Great customer service.

Yes we were allowed to walk around and view the sofas etc.
Josh was very helpful when our decision was made, he asked about our existing furniture, decor etc. and helped choose the colour etc.

An absolute pleasure in your store today, unfortunately I have forgotten the name of the gentleman who served us. He was not pushy and spent a lot of time explaining the sofa we wanted to buy, coffee excellent a really great touch. He explained everything clearly and made sure we were getting what we wanted.
