I bought a Dell laptop plus Microsoft 365 from dell.co.uk thinking it would make installation and set-up easier. In fact, after TWO HOURS on the phone to their customer service team in India (who seem incapable of answering a question with a direct answer), I learned that having bought the laptop the day before, IT WOULD TAKE SEVERAL DAYS FOR IT TO BE REGISTERED ON THEIR SYSTEM. This means I can't access my Microsoft 365 subscription for several days and will need to go through this entire rigmarole again. I don't think I've ever encountered a less well trained customer service team, or a worse overall experience. Watching a technical support person with remote access navigate my account and settings, clearly not having a clue what she was doing, was a particular highlight. Dell, do you even read reviews? Are you familiar with the term "reputational damage"? Suffice to say, I wouldn't wish Dell customer service on my worst enemy.

Rubbish service - do not pay for additional warranty/ extension - they just take your money and run away. I had a technical issue with the laptop which had extended warranty.

They took about 15 days to collect and then immediately said it has water damage!!!! such a scam company and service centres - i would hence say LENOVO is the best for customer care - after sales support.

I receve a damage leptop from dell ups was the delivery service and now dell instead of replace it he emailed or I return the leptop or I keep it damage ..After carefully reviewing your order, we regret to inform you that the specific laptop model you selected is currently facing a stock shortage. Don't buy DELL is you want peace of mind.

My Dell laptop is falling apart, the problem seems to be the left hinge which is now peeling the screen surround casing away from the screen. I don't know if it is poor build quality or poor materials. I'll never buy again based on reputation.

I bought a PC monitor. It does what it is supposed to do.
Unfortunately the cost in my time is enormous. Since buying this product I've been constantly pestered by advertising. They make it as difficult as possible to unsubscribe, and I suspect that they have also sold my data to other advertisers. In order to unsubscribe they demand that I re-enter all my personal details which opens up all the risks again. My advice is don't buy from Dell unless you want to be bombarded by junk mail.

I WILL NEVER TRUST OR BUY ANOTHER DELL PRODUCT. From day. My Dell laptop is so poorly made that the key covers fall off , I spend my time on my knees looking for them. The joints break so I have to support the back tlo prevent it falling back. The noise of the joint cracking is ridiculous. The touch area for moving cursor around is such a small area I have to look each time where I place my finger. One to two years is the maximum life span. So. So disappointed. I only purchased after hearing that they are best value for the higher price range. I totally do not agree

I have to say that my experience with this Dell laptop has been one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had so far. When it first arrived, it didn’t start properly, and I had to wait for a technician to replace the motherboard within the first 14 days. Then, about seven months in, the laptop lost its Wi-Fi connectivity, and I had to send it in for repair. I requested a refund or exchange at that point, but my requests were ignored. After it was returned, it started glitching even more, with freezing issues and a deteriorating battery. I tried again for a refund or exchange, but was ignored once more. It was only after threatening legal action that they finally offered me 80% of my money back. Overall, I would not recommend Dell, and I definitely won’t be purchasing from them again in the future.

On the 23rd of Feb I ordered 2 Laptops which had windows Home installed and I needed windows Professional, when I realised this within 2 hours of ordering I tried cancelling the laptops. then proceed 4 days of telephone calls begging for the orders to be cancelled so that I could then get a credit or refund to order the two i needed. And result the order as of 24th of February are still not cancelled. What kind of processing system do you have that an order cannot get cancelled in this time frame. I know that Dell have a narrow window for cancelling stuff but we have even refused delivery of the item and now its showing as back out for delivery !!!!!

Poor quality and expensive tag, should have stuck with Seenda. A user guide written by someone who clearly has no knowledge of English and cares little for their customers. Either that or Dell are just too damm lazy to write a useful guide. I managed to pair the keyboard but it paired to another model which I don't have, KB700. The mouse just doesn't pair at all. My first and last Dell product, I expected more but was sadly let down.

One of the worst company’s I’ve ever had to deal with. Order an item. Shipping keeper saying they tried to deliver but I’ve been in all day. The tracking service is horrendous. The Custer service team can come off scripted. Told me I can cancel my order until it’s delivered( BUT IT NOT GETTING DELIVERED) had to get my credit card company to try and sort it out on my behalf. NEVER BUT FROM DELL!!!!

Dell UK ordered on 26th. Used UPS UK as only shipping option. UPS could not find my address although I get at least 5 deliverys a week to this address. I call UPS and after 30 minutes gave up. They are the worst in the UK. Hermes does 1000 times better for half the price. Dell emailed me a couple days later for the address info. I passed that along again and added details that anyone with a brian could find. They replied a week later asking for the same info. I passed it again. A week later I got a reply. Same crap reply. I asked for a refund and mentioned that will be doing this review. They now care and have replied 3 times in three days amazing. My refund is now on the way 3 weeks after ordering.
They do great for businesses but if you are not a business beware they don't value personal accounts at all. You have been warned avoid at all costs.

Complete waste of time. They do not honour their price matching policy at all. Beware!
Two directly comparable products for specification and they just regurgitated spiels from Google which is untrue. Treat your customers with respect and knowledge, or just say you do not price match! DO NOT LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS.

This company has gone to sh*t!

I bought a Dell Inspiron 16 5640 as a study laptop for university (I am a mature CS student) but I only use it once or twice a week as I have a much higher quality desktop PC.

After just 1.5 years of very light use this crappy laptop has just given up on me! It looks like the battery just gave out, which is just baffling to me as I have been very careful with it. Of course Dell would have their laptops die just after the manufacturer warranty expires. Just an all-round terrible laptop, do not buy!

My purchase has been a catalogue of poor service and communication.
I order a PC on New Years Day, DELL used UPS as a Courier, they failed to deliver when promised and there customer even lied to me about its status. Whist waiting for delivery the PC priced dropped by £120, so as I had not received it I contacted Dell to cancel the order. After a period of protracted emails, Dell conceded that I if except the PC still with UPS they would refund the difference.
I accepted there offer, and finally took delivery on 16th January.
Now its 3rd February, and despite even more emails DELL have not refunded the difference, despite sending me a credit note.
All I get are insincere apologies stating they are looking into why.
Dell customer service is totally incompetent.
Avoid DELL and UPS

When my new Dell 15 DC15250 laptop arrived, it looked and felt anything but modern and immediately had problems running my software (used without issue on my previous PC and my subsequent Lenovo one). Added to that, external drives failed to unmount, updates failed to install and the Reliability Monitor logged critical incidents every day. I had to reinstall the Windows 11 OS twice and Dell Technical Support only supplied lists of procedures for me to try out, in attempts to resolve each issue (despite having paid for the Dell Care Plus support package and which I could probably have found via Google searches), so I spent many hours and days trawling the Internet to find out how to run these procedures. After 8 weeks of stress and having my complaint emails ignored, I finally found a way of requesting a return for a refund, as the equipment was obviously not fit for purpose. Luckily, the return process was exceptionally easy and efficient and, for that reason alone, I have given Dell 2 stars.

A month in, multiple follow up emails with generic AI replies and no delivers. Cancelled order

My PC is still in warranty but Dell refused a claim for the paint on the keys coming off. They said is cosmetic so not covered.

Im now on my 2nd screen and have just been told the laptop needs a new hard drive. They cant tell me if they have the parts or when it will be carried out. A complete joke of a company.

Having purchased a Dell XPS 13 Plus it has needed 3 screen replacements in 3 and a half years. The first under warranty and the second at my cost. The screen camera has now stopped working and Dell have said the screen repair/replacement will again be at my own expense. It is an expensive laptop that has become a money pit.
