Ich benutze deepl seit über 10 Jahren seit meiner Schulzeit, vor allem für längere Textübersetzungen. Die Probleme bei der Übersetzung fingen an, als unzureichende KI Prozesse für die Übersetzung verwendet wurden und gingen weiter mitder Maximalbeschränkung der Wörter, die man am Stück übersetzen kann. Aber dass es jetzt auch noch ein tägliches Limit gibt, wie häufig man übersetzen darf, ist die Webseite für mich endgültig gestorben.

Früher sehr oft benutzt, jetzt aber mehrfach erlebt dass mein text nicht richtig übersetzt wurde sondern dinge weggelassen oder hinzugeschrieben wurde und so den ganzen sinn verändert hat beim Text. Ich muss jetzt alternative finden

Die desktop App hat sich seit ca. 18 Monaten permanent verschlechtert.

My wife was charged for an annual DeepL Pro subscription in December 2024 and 2025 that she did not knowingly authorize. DeepL claims a free trial was initiated and automatically renewed, but they were unable to provide verifiable proof of my consent (such as IP address or confirmed acceptance).

Despite refunding the identical charge from December 2025, DeepL refused to refund the 2024 charge, citing internal policy and elapsed time.

I recently escalated the matter through EU consumer and the protection channels, including the German Verbraucherzentrale, due to the lack of resolution.

I recently subscribed to DeepL Pro for use with Trados Studio 2024, for Chinese-to-English assignments. My decision was based on the fact that my client already relied on DeepL as well as the overwhelmingly positive online reviews. However, I soon discovered that most of these reviews actually referred to the free online version of DeepL, not the paid Pro subscription.

Unfortunately, the translations generated by DeepL Pro via the Trados API have been extremely disappointing—reminiscent of the early days of Google Translate, when output often made little sense and could even be unintentionally comical. In fact, the quality is not far removed from what the original web-based beta of Google Translate produced back in April 2006. I experimented with the only available setting—"Formal," with the options "Default," "Less," and "More"—but none of these made any noticeable difference in translation quality.

Here are a few minor but telling examples:
• "Venezuela" was translated as "Commission."
• "China-Venezuela" became "China and China," "China-Commission," or "Sino-Chinese."

While these errors can be manually corrected in short projects, they become unmanageable in larger projects spanning over 100 pages, making it more efficient to retranslate everything from scratch rather than rely on DeepL.

It’s extremely disappointing that a paid service delivers such poor results, especially when the free version is far superior. The whole point of using AI translation tools is to streamline the process, not to create more work.

On Monday, I plan to contact my DeepL account advisor in the hope that there’s a solution to improve the quality of the generated translations, or I will have to cancel my subscription.

Getting worse and worse. Desktop app is awful right now. Very slow.

Excellent tool in different languages and quite precise an analysis I need to improve my task.

I hope you have banned not only Russia but also Israel and USA? What I am saying - language is not something what belongs to you it belongs to nations and was long before you have written your code. But you are someone who restricts access to it. But it is also ok, since there are many other online even more powerful translators.
Blocked the region once, block it forever!

I have used DeepL for about 8 years now, I used it on and off depending on the work I have to complete.
I do like the fact that you can upload documents and the translation comes back in minutes. It saves me time and all I have to do is review and make my own changes to the projects.

Für mich sehr hilfreich und gut aufgebaut, benutze es allerdings nur privat.

Eu não falo inglês, não entendo quase nada! Este aplicativo veio para me ajudar tenho um namorado americano, agora estou sempre usando o DeepL para conversar com ele. É ótimo, traduz instantâneamente. Muito fácil de usar!

I translate a range of texts into different languages: easily with DeepL. In addition to common European languages, languages with other scripts are also included - and can be used without any problems.

The quality of translations has been improving constantly, even for difficult themes, e.g. philosophical themes. Years ago, I did not believe that such progress is possible.

I usually use DeepL to translate things I need translated. From what I could notice the trabslation were always good and the web app/mobile app is easy to use

I cannot use it because there is no Croatian included and since I translate three languages in and from Croatian, it is useless for me and this is the only translation machine that doesn't support Croatian, but supports some other Slavic languages like Slovenian.

Szkoda że nie da sie mniej. Kiedyś był bez imitów znaków a teraz 1500 max na tłumazcenie co utrudnie prace oraz po uzyciu kilka razy podczas nauki dostałam nagle blokade na 9 dni ponieważ nie mam premium. Teraz jest tam dużo reklam i jakość tlumaczenia również spadła i czesto strona sie psuje. Jestem zawiedziona
