Datalot is a great source to provide leads for a company! Been using them for almost 3 years and I have tried other companies and they still never compare to the efficiency that Datalot provides. Clint has been a great help managing our account for us as well!

Overall we've had great success with Datalot thus far. We started with small volume and have increased that over time due to the high closure rate averaging between 25-35%. Our account manager, Clint Morris, has been very helpful and responsive throughout the process. I would certainly recommend Datalot for anyone looking for a good way to quickly increase their sales with a high return on their investment!

Great live transfers. The representatives who transfer do a good job of weeding out poor leads and giving us eligible prospects. Matthew helps us out when we disagree with a disputed return so that we aren't getting charged for leads that we cannot quote. Thank you.

Its ok. They are LIVE leads which are more expensive up front but cheaper per quote and per bind than regular data leads. I would give more stars and buy more if I had someone to check and offer adjustments on filters, locations, etc. I'm captive and do feel they give higher quality to bigger agents then others. I use them for a couple months then stop when quality goes deteriorates.

Would also like better pricing since I spend a lot of money on them.
But hey, a live lead is a live lead....someone ready to be quoted.

Worth a try if you need to write more business.

Since I began using Datalot I have seen a substantial increase in my new business sales. I would highly recommend their products and services to anyone.

I’ve been in the industry for a long time. I’ve used DataLot for the past few years off and on. When I need to find a way to write a volume of auto policies in a hurry, there is no better option than their live transfers.

Katte McNeil has been extremely helpful with suggesting specific filters and settings to help us match our underwriting criteria while still meeting our volume and cost needs. She’s responsible and helpful whenever I’ve reached out with questions.

In terms of results, we’re running a high volume and are closing above 20% of the calls. Independents who are able to cross shop for price would probably close much, much higher numbers.

The biggest advantage with DataLot is the predictability. You can actually depend on a consistent flow of calls. Generally, the people are legitimately shopping for insurance and can be closed within 24 hours if your price is palatable.

There are other live transfer lead companies out there, as I’m sure you know. The issue is that their processes are a mess, their volume is unpredictable and all over the place, and their lead quality seems to be inconsistent. DataLot simply seems to have most of these kinks worked out.

This company was great when it first started.

Now you are bidding a high amount for leads and they create a 1 pager that they have given new farmers agents setting unrealistic expectations in my area.

My average call costs $70 and the quality is not as good as it once was.

They have also are difficult on their return policy even though they might send you a mobile home or something that isn't related to your campaign. The only reason I am giving 3 stars and not less is because I have had a decent conversion ratio (25%)

This is good if you already have an established agency with 2 Million in premium.

If you know how to generate your own leads organically it might cost you less.

Clint Morris has been the best of the best account manager's out of any of the other companies I have worked with. He answer's all of my questions and whenever I need him to adjust or help he is there hands down.

I would highly recommend Clint Morris 100% he gets me the best results in being able to sell to the Spanish and English market.

I have been a customer with Datalot for two months now and I couldn't be happier with them. Our rep, Katie, has been phenomenal to work with, has been very knowledgeable and has made nothing but excellent recommendations for us that have turned a profit for us from day one!

Datalot is hands-down the best lead company I have ever done business with. Their lead quality always matches the requirements (i.e. previous coverage, no accidents) so you can be confident in what you are spending marketing dollars on. My assigned account rep is easy to get in contact with, EXTREMELY helpful, and transparent in how their leads work vs. just trying to upsell me. Datalot has been the best return on investment I've had since I have been purchasing leads for about 5 years. I'd highly recommend them to anyone who is comparing lead vendors.

Datalot is middle of the road. The quality of their live lead transfers are hit and miss.

Katte McNeil is the best account manager I've ever had. She is quick to respond to my questions and is always there helping me with ideas and solutions. It's hard to find this with any vendor out there. Very happy with Katte and Datalot.

I have been using Datalot for about 4 years now. My business has grown because of their leads. I would like to say my customer service rep Katte Mcneil is very attentive and is always available to me.

This is my second review of Datalot, and overall I am satisfied with the results. To date I have closed 21% of my quotable calls, and that is a rate I can live with. There are ebbs and flows to this and the results are not immediate, but if you work the leads, you should close your fair share.

My only issue with this company is their return policy. In this field you deal with a lot of customer dishonesty and that should be a reason for returning a lead. If the caller says they have no accidents the past 5 years, and is then transferred to the agent paying for the call, the agent should have the ability to run the reports to find out the truth. But if you run an "Underwriting" report, the call cannot be returned, which is not fair to the agent. If the caller lies, why should I be responsible for paying for it? And if it takes my running the CLUE and MVR to determine the truth, why am I penalized? Now, even the Pre-Fill report is considered an underwriting report. All that does is show their current insurance, if they have any.

So overall, the close rate is acceptable, but the return policy is not. So make up your mind beforehand and determine if you can live with the return policy that eats away your available funds that could go towards quotable, legitimate leads. I'm now working with my second account manager, and he is doing a much better job of answering my questions, and taking care of my issues.
