I contacted country properties to arrange a valuation on my property, however I was passed to a different branch, who then took a long time to get back to me. When I finally had a call from someone she jumped straight in with properties they had available without talking the time to properly hear our requirements. She then asked if we had any other valuations and who with, then starting to make negative comments on that estate agent (even though the other agent then went on to sell our house in 4 days). When we finally got round to our valuation she was utterly unimpressed that we had quite busy lifestyles and asked repeatedly that someone take some time off work so that she could properly discuss what they could offer after she had valued the house. I was very shocked with the poor telephone manner and the complete lack of flexibility around us. Not an agent that I feel would listen to us or work for us at all and we would not recommend them.

What a fantastic team at Ampthill Country properties. We have had such a great experience selling our house with them. Ken was brilliant when he came out to value our house and take pictures and he got it on the market super quick. Lynne was great and so helpful. Billie was always friendly and did every she could to help. What can I say about Sasha just wow!! she really did go above and beyond!!! She did absolutely everything she could to make it as smooth as possible for us and was constant with her updates. Her kindness and professionalism is on another level. We can not thank her enough. She got us through some very stressful house moving moments. We can’t recommend Ampthill County Properties enough. Thank you so much 😊

5 Stars!! So so helpful. Sold my house with Country properties at a time when house prices were dropping and less people were buying. They kept me informed and made the viewings of the property very straight forward. Jake explained everything clearly and didn't mind answering all my questions.

Sasha was amazing. Always aware of what was happening, pushing things along and providing updates at appropriate times.

A long drawn out house purchase due to solicitors etc but Sasha has been exceptional. She not only was very prompt with replies and helping but also her professionalism was outstanding.

We have just bought some land through Country Properties and cannot fault the service from start to finish. Our dealings were with Jake McCloud who took on board what we were looking for and he found us the perfect piece of land we wanted to buy. Everything went through so quickly and smoothly due to being kept up-to-date by Jake and the team at the Ampthill Branch.

Chose to sell my house with country properties after being previously impressed with viewings they did when I was buying. More realistic asking prices given than some other local agents.... Importantly also the post sale support was well managed and executed.

It’s been 17 years since I brought a house and the process has somewhat changed.

We found our dream home and Country Properties helped us navigate the purchase from start to finish.

Very approachable and flexible with a number of visits to the property before the final purchase. Always at the end of the phone to answer 101 questions.

The process of selling our house took 9 weeks from the start of engagement, everything has run smoothly, communication has been excellent, the valuation and photos of the house were outstnanding. Can't recommend the Country Properties team highly enough and would use them again.

All of the staff have been exceptional from the initial valuation with Ken who was extremely efficient and believed in our property and achieving a great price for us. Sasha and Billie were also excellent in the office and always willing to help and kept us constantly updated with our progress. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Country Properties is by far the best agent in Ampthill. They’re open, honest and clear with you. I would highly recommend them.

Appalling service by country properties in Shefford. The letting team are rude and unprofessional and have no idea what they are doing!
One of them even saying it you don’t want your dog anymore i will have him! Because she wants a dog!
What on earth.

Country Properties was on top of things all the time and we never felt like anything was forgotten. If something needed chasing up anywhere in the chain, Sasha would be on it straight away and communicate effectively with everyone involved.

Ampthill Country Properties are very proactive with their sales and keep their buyers in the loop throughout the process. I would highly recommend selling with them!

The team at Country Properties have been exemplary throughout the whole selling and buying process and we would thoroughly recommend using them if you are looking for an estate agent in the Ampthill area.
We must also mention that Sasha is an absolute credit to the team. The whole process has been very drawn out (some 9 months) and stressful but due to Sasha’s professionalism and experience in sales progressing we got there in the end. She went over and above for us and we are most grateful for that.

Five star service from the initial viewing through to exchange. Sasha, Billie, Ken and Jake looked after us like royalty. Sasha could not have done any more to help us and put us at ease. I cannot recommend this branch enough. A very pleasant experience.

Fantastic staff so helpful

Here is my experience with Country Properties (“CP”) Hatfield:

I and my family arranged a viewing of a property available for rent managed by CP Hatfield. On that day they sent a viewing guide, who looks a good young lad, to guide us through the viewing. Right after viewing every corner of the property, I immediately showed to the young man my interest to rent, asked him to help us liaise with the landlord and told him to give us any update by the end of the day. We asked for his name and contact number, let him input these information directly into my phone to make sure I didn’t get it wrong.

Not unexpectedly, I didn’t get any response from the young man. On the next day, I tried to call him by the phone number he entered to my phone and found that he, intentionally I believe, gave me a wrong number. I then called to their office and directly found him. He told me that he has contacted the landlord and was waiting for the feedback, but that is his last day with CP. I was worried about losing the opportunity to rent the property, so I sent an email to one of the Property Consultant from CP, who I previously received email from, told her about my case and asked her to follow up for me.

Another day passed, I had not received any call, any form of reply nor any feedback from the CP team. I called again, tried to speak to that Property Consultant, but I’m told that she was in a meeting but on their record the status of my case was that they’re yet to hear from the landlord any response.

After a few days of no updates, I called again, tried to speak to the Property Consultant. Then I got the answer that she is in yet another “meeting”, but per their record another tenancy agreement had already been reached for that property. So there is no need for me to follow up again.

I could fully understand if there is another potential tenant who showed interest first, and may be certain processes had already been went through, the agent may not be willing to entertain another bidder so as to reduce the agent’s work load. However, what ridiculed me most is, right at the evening of the day they told me a rent had been agreed for that property, Rightmove App alerted me the property is still on the market with a reduced asking price!

I then asked my wife to make a new enquiry for the property by email using her personal information. Amazingly, this time a Property Manager responded to my wife, not mentioning any tenancy agreement has been reached but arranged with my wife for property viewing as normal. The funniest thing is, the Property Manager told my wife that it will be the same young man, who has supposedly resigned from CP Hatfield, going to guide us for the viewing!

Although we’re really keen to rent that property, but I will not pursuit any further with this totally untrustworthy property agent being in management. The whole team of CP Hatfield seems to be full of lies, with no integrity and no work ethics! To all landlords, think twice if you’re considering to find an agent to manage tenancy for you, I’m not sure if CP Hatfield will act by your benefit at all!
