Katarina was amazing! She told us the stories in a funny way. And as a non native speaker we were able to understand everything!! Thank you!!

Great experience when we visited Pompeii and Vesuvius today. We had Marco driving and Viviana as our guide and then when we got to Pompeii, we had Gerano and the other group had Michelo. It was informative, fun and worth the money and time.

It was a wonderfull expérience and Angela was amazing.

Worst experience ever!!!

Upon arrival the guide informed us that he didn’t have our tickets, that we should call support and he just left us. After talking to the support, they said couldn’t help us at that moment and we should contact them by email. Now they refuse to refund us 400 euros for the tickets they failed to provide. Ruined our family’s stay in Paris. Wouldn’t recommend them to anybody!!!

Very disappointing experience in Paris Eiffel Tower Guided Tour. We arrived at the correct meeting point on time, met the guide in person and showed him our QR codes. He then told us that he did not have tickets for us and instructed us to call customer support. Support could not help and told us to email instead.
The company later claimed that we had missed the tour, which is simply not true. We were there and spoke directly to the guide. We paid almost €400 and received no tour and, so far, no refund. Very poor organisation and customer service.

Amazing few hours! Federica is very knowledgeable, she took time to explain everything in detail. Highly recommend her.

A nightmare of a day with a bunch of cliche excuses from City Wonders

I ended up getting another 25% refund from City Wonders. Still not even enough if you read through previous correspondence with the tour operator (see below).

They also replied to my review on TripAdvisor and asked to me to reach out to them, only to come back to say:

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to formally escalate my complaint regarding the Amalfi Coast tour my party of three took in August of 2026, and to request a substantially higher refund than the 25% currently offered.

Timeline of what occurred:

1. The tour was scheduled to depart at 7:20 AM. Due to a last-minute change of bus driver caused by your company's own staffing/organizational issue at the departure point, we did not leave until 7:50 AM.
2. This 30-minute delay pushed our departure directly into the start of morning rush hour traffic, which caused us to miss the Salerno–Amalfi ferry — the centerpiece of the tour and the primary reason we booked it.
3. We were rerouted by bus to Sorrento, a stop we had no interest in and did not book, and given one hour there.
4. On return to the bus, departure was delayed a further 25 minutes waiting for one late passenger, reducing our remaining time even further.
5. Approaching Positano, we were transferred to smaller vans. Our van's driver got lost en route, so instead of the scheduled 2 hours in Positano, we received approximately 45 minutes.

In total, of a full-day tour costing $492 for three passengers, we spent roughly 10 hours on buses/vans, 1 hour in a town we never intended to visit, and 45 minutes in Positano. We did not receive the boat ride along the Amalfi Coast, did not visit Amalfi at all, and received well under half of the allotted time in Positano.

I want to directly address the explanation provided in your response to another guest on this same tour, since it mirrors the explanation given to me: you describe the delays as resulting from "unexpected traffic conditions... outside of our control." This is not accurate. By your own account, the delay originated from an internal decision to change bus drivers at departure, which caused us to leave 30 minutes late and drive directly into rush hour. That is a foreseeable and internal operational failure, not an external, uncontrollable event. Attributing the outcome to traffic obscures the actual root cause.

A 25% refund does not reflect what was actually delivered. We paid for three core components: the coastal boat cruise, a visit to Amalfi, and two hours in Positano. We received a fraction of one of those three. A refund proportional to services actually rendered would be significantly higher than 25%, and I am requesting that you recalculate the offer on that basis.

My response: they may be pleased that "we were able to discuss the matter with you directly and provide a resolution following our review......"

But I am not at all pleased. Their resolution was no resolution beyond the additional 25% refund. Do not get fooled by their cliche wording. Bottom line is they should have provided a full refund or at least 75% refund. Pathetic.....

Simple process with great reminders made it easy to find the starting point. Guide Moha was engaging, informative, and charming. Plenty of information but not too much detail kept the tour moving and entertaining. Happy to recommend it.

Andy was very personable and told us many very interesting facts. We loved his "easter eggs" and jokes:-) The sound box with the green ear piece worked really well, we could hear Andy loud and clear (we've had a comparison from a day before with a lot worse quality). We would highly recommend this tour guide

Georgina was an excellent guide. Both informative and very pleasant in her presentation. In short, it was fun listening to her share her knowledge. Meeting location worked perfectly.

Our tour guide today, Claudio, was fantastic. We were a group of eight going on the Tuscany Day Trip (Montepulciano, Pienza, and Montalcino) Small Group. He drove with care, was funny and engaging, and got us to each spot perfectly in time. Thank you Claudio for a great day! *****

Rispetto .. tours guidato bene ma operatora per i ritorno pensavo di trovare mio posto vicino a mi zii perche ero sola come la andata..e tutti eranno diversamente quello che era nell mio posto ne me a cagato finta di niente sono andata in fondo tutta schiacciatta e pure li no mi volevanno e questa sig operatora di tours mi viene ripresa me come se fossi io quella svagliato e mi manda a un altro posto... Male trato irrespetuosa.no mi a chiesto niente.

We had an amazing experience with City Wonders! Our tour guide, Antonino, and our driver, Luka, were absolutely wonderful. They were professional, punctual, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable throughout the entire experience. We took Pompeii, Amalfi Coast and Positano Day Trip from Rome

The tour was very well organized and gave us a little bit of everything, which made it a perfect way to experience and learn about the area without ever feeling rushed. Antonino shared so much interesting information and made the experience both educational and enjoyable, while Luka made sure our transportation was comfortable, smooth, and always on time.

Everything was handled professionally from beginning to end. We truly enjoyed our day and would highly recommend City Wonders, Antonino, and Luka to anyone looking for a memorable and well-organized tour. Thank you for such a fantastic experience!

Did the Crypts and Catacombs evening tour with Alberto. Had a great time, Alberto was pleasant and very knowledgeable about both site. I would highly recommend this tour. Only 2.5 - 3 hrs. perfect for the end of the day.

Yusra was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable of the history of the Eiffel Tower. Would live to have her as a guide in the future. Her English was very good.

We had a wonderful afternoon with our brilliant tour guide Kat. She was a mind of information and gave us a tour to remember, she was so interesting and explained everything so well. Please do book you will not be disappointed.
