Dreadful service in all respects

Dreadful service in all respects. My home charging unit is still under guarantee and is not working. 10 days after reporting it, and being told the engineers would be in touch within 1-2 days, I heard nothing. Repeated phone calls to them, Repeated promises from them that someone would get in touch, yet I hear nothing. I also had issues last year with being charged at charging stations which didn't work. This is an appalling company with zero respect for the customer. Avoid.

Currently 20min and counting

Currently 20min and counting, on a charger whose touch screen hasn't worked for at least the tenth time for me at this location.

Can't use the company charge card so I've been reduced to using their terrible app.

Do yourself a favour, never ever get a subscription for this company. Pay as you go at them as a last resort and always have a backup plan because the majority of their machines are broken.

i give them -5 star , rubbish just rubbish
never ever recommend this company
they are not responding , they are never answer phone, they ask you a lot of question, every time they come back to you with new and new question.
i will never recommend those people or this company.
they are a time waster
they take you 1 year to install the charge master
they are never on time
they are respond email after 3 months
customer service just rubbish
they are let you down , they are very professional in wasting time

Appalling from every possible angle

Appalling from every possible angle. But then us EV owners we should probably ask ourselves why would BP even want this to go smoothly? The cunning plan (of course) is to roll this out as slowly and as ineffectively as possible (just like the Shell charging network) so that they can make EVs a less attractive option (cars fine, infrastructure pathetic and actually getting worse not better!) and thus continue to flog us planet destroying fossil fuels for as long as possible- so that they make as much money as possible (not much to be made charging and EV after all!). Giant Corporations like this can NEVER do the right thing- they can only do what they are designed to do and have always done- maximise profits for their shareholders. Nothing else matters. Go watch "Don't Look up' for an entertaining/ horrifying explanation of where we're at.

It’s a ripoff

No wonder they got low reviews. This company is a ripoff! First of all, it’s not straight forward like other charging point, rather, it’s a complete hustle. You need to download the app, put your debit card/ visa information and pay beforehand. Then, the prices are ridiculous, about 50% more than other charging point. I had to put certain amount in the app unwillingly, but I was in a hurry and could not complete charging. I think they took the rest of it now that I didn’t use it. The only pro I can think of is, it is faster than other charges, but for me, it’s really not worth it. I would not use them again. No way

YOUR CHARGING NIGHTMARE AWAITS

Tried 3 machines on a getaway. No. 1 (Crick) not working but fixed by engineer who coincidentally happened to be there when I arrived. No. 2 (Buxton), not working. No information on machine or maps. Not even a simple 'out of order' display. You have to show up to learn the machines are broken, doh. No. 3, Crick again, the Chadamo starts charging my car. And stops. Starts charging again. And stops. Phone support reboots the machine 4 or 5 times. Still kaput. Gave up... Just the latest in a litany of similar experiences with BP chargers. Membership now cancelled (the cards barely work anywhere). Farewell BP Chargemasters, you mastered only in inducing stress.

Used this on 18th at tower bridge q…

Used this on 18th at tower bridge q park.
Charged a £15 holding fee then £6.33 for the charge time. After finally getting through they told me this will be the case every time I use a charging point and that they keep it for 30 days. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are ripping you off keeping this amount for 30 days. I will cancel my subscription with them immediately.

Non response to £30 charge taken and no refund

I charged my car at a BP service station on the A43 at Brackley on the 6/10/21 . The machine took £30 from my card for a 35 minute charge and did not refund the excess on my card. After several Emails and numerous phone calls, the BP Pulse accounting system can not cope with the very difficult balancing act of addition and subtraction. Perhaps they need to employ software engineers who can produce a decent accounting system and not boosting their profits on the backs of their customers. I will now avoid all BP stations in future. I would advise anyone who uses BP Pulse charging stations to be aware that a £30 charge will be debited from your card and you will possibly not be refunded the balance against this charge. Please see other comments regarding this policy of taking a £30 charge upfront - bad customer service and I would award minus 2 stars.

This company has debited my bank account £90 - and an additional charging transaction that cost £17.91. I am trying to get my money returned to me and I was first told this was an authorisation fee that would be returned to me with 3-5 working days. I have had to contact them again after 6 working days as the £17.91 is no longer showing in my account but the £90 is. I have had two small credits to my account but I am still owed £42. Speaking to what I would loosely call 'customer services' I was told I would be paid the remaining money owed to me in 3o workings days! No guarantee from reading other reviews that I will not be disappointed next month when the owed money has not still not be returned.

The company is also trading under BP Pulse and is a wholly owned subsidiary of BP who should be ashamed of this behaviour.

Do not use this company. If you have to use then use a credit not a debit card as you have more protection

£15 not refunded

I used the BP pulse charger at the Dale Hill Hotel, East Sussex, on 21.10.21. The car was charged but there was also a seperate and additional £15 charge taken from my Mastercard. If I hadn't checked my statement very carefully I could have missed it. I have emailed BP three times, they have replied, but still no refund. This is absolutely intolerable behaviour by a major international company, BP management should be ashamed of themselves. Never use a BP charger if you can avoid it is the lesson learned.

Rubbish..BP Polar

Rubbish... five charging points not working at Hilton Hotel, when contacted told yes they were, when further discussed told "oh yes, an engineer is due to fix the problem". In the mean time I was stranded with a car I couldn't use and a charge point that didn't work. Fortunately the hotel had a bed which cost £200.
Pulse and the shambles at Oxford services should be put out of business as they are positively dangerous to travellers,

BP pulse homecharge awful customer service

I have a home charger from BP pulse. It was originally installed by chargemaster and that process was impressive if a little drawn out thanks to the funding requirements.

Problem is my charger has stopped working and the customer service is terrible. From the basics, no matter what combination of IVR numbers I push to speak to the Home Charge team I consistently get told, that the operator needs to transfer me to the home charger team.

I currently have no idea if a resolution is coming. I'm told someone will be in touch by email and that if I hear nothing in a week to call back, though in all honesty I'm not sure how helpful that would be.

I currently have no way to charge my car and no clear idea of if or when this will get fixed. Or if it could be dangerous.

I appreciate that there are busy periods, but please ensure your team is well informed and can give advice. Most of all give me a timescale, some view of a resolution, because "call back in a week if you haven't had an email" really doesn't cut it.

AVOID THIS SUPPLIER

I would urge people to avoid this company they are by some margin the worst business I have had the misfortune to deal with for many years.
Their chargers are frequently out of order but what is worse is if the charger is faulty they are still able to take a £15 “holding fee” from your payment card. I have been in dispute with them for 3months over 2 episodes where they debited my card £15 despite the charger dispensing no charge. They have refused to refund the money they owe me so I have had to escalate this to my credit card company to persue on my behalf.

Appalling service.

So shocking it’s hard to put into words. If this is the future of our mobility we are doomed. Charge points that simply do not work a customer service line that is probably the worst I have encountered. Telephones answered by inarticulate individuals who have no interest in problem solving. How can BP associate their name with this debacle? They owe me money which apparently takes at least 30 days to resolve. Finally as always you cannot reach anyone remotely influential to solve these issues.

If I could put 0 I would have. I’ve been waiting two months and still haven’t been issued my charge card. As such, I have no alternative than to use my debit card to access BP pulse’s rapid change points. An automated £15 is taken out and, in theory, the difference between this figure and the amount of electricity used to charge the car is refunded. Two months on from the first of four occasions when I have had to use a BP rapid charger I still haven received any of the money owing me from these transactions. On one occasion, dating back to 05/10/21 I used 24p of electricity.

I have raised this and this issue over the phone and by email. Now BP are asking me to drive out of my way to the charge points where I made these transactions , to note down the serial number of the charge points, and to some how remember how much charge I used before they can look into my case. This is on top of my ‘pending status’ for membership application, which has been pending for over two months. I have a further £20 credit on my account, which I am not able to access until BP pulse has elevated my ‘pending’ status to full membership.

Wall Charger still not fit for purpose

It's 2 months since my first review and 8 months since I started the installation process, and despite another replacement wall charger (my third) it's still next to useless. It will only deliver 1.5 kW and will not schedule a charge. 2 weeks ago I was told that an engineer would be in contact to arrange the 7th visit, and I have heard nothing. Who on earth regulates this incompetent company?

I charged my car in a public charging point

I charged my car in a public charging point by Toby Carvery South Croydon car park. I usually charge my car there with no problem but today I went there at 8:00 am and found that the CCS( 50kwW) was connected to a red car but not charging and the owner of the car was not there to ask if he/she is finished charging so I can use it, I waited for 30 minutes and the owner did not appear yet so I decided to use the type 2( 43kw) while waiting for the other user. When I plugged my car it shows that I need 5 hours 30 minutes to fully charge my car. So I decided to walk home and come back if my car is charged. But before I left, I stayed in the car for 1 hour 40 minutes and my car is still 41% charged and the owner of the red car did not come yet, so I decided to leave my car at 9:45am. I came back at 1:30pm and my car has literally just complete charging, and the red car is still there but when I saw the charge on my phone app, I was charged |20 pounds for over staying. I was so annoyed because there is no where in the charging area that says we are only allowed 90 minutes for charging. So I called the costumer service and I spoke to a staff/male who told me that this is their policy but no where to be read not even in the company's app. And he also said even if your car is not fully charge you have to leave the charger for others to use . I just do not understand this because the reason to charge the car is to fully charge it, it is like a choice of filling a car full with petrol,. So there is no use for us to charge in these kind of charging point because we are not allowed to fully charge our cars. They should be clear with their customer and put a big notice of the limit in their charging points. I went to charge in one company Geniepoint and it is clearly stated in the charging screen that the maximum charging stay is 90 minutes so customers are clearly aware before anyone use them.
