CHADWICK'S CLOTHES - POOR QUALITY
This is the second tweed blazer that I have received & both have been defective. I have paid a PREMIUM shipping cost ($15.49) both times only to have items that were no more than yard sale quality shipped to me. I also paid the return shipping cost on the first defective blazer. BOTH blazers I have received had buttons that were literally hanging on by a thread, completely off the blazer & dropped in the bag, or missing altogether. Additionally, what is sold as a Petite size is NOT a petite by any measurement, the item is completely mis-sized. The overall quality, material, & construction of this item is very poor. Where is Chadwick's quality control (QC)? Is anyone inspecting items when Chadwick's receives them from their suppliers or before they ship items to customers? Obviously the answer is there is no QC & there is no inspection of good prior to shipping. It would appear that items that are returned are repacked & shipped to the next person ordering that item. Chadwick's clothes used to be a nice reasonably priced line with good style, made from quality materials, & well constructed...no so any longer. I have been a Chadwick's customer literally for decades (since 1988) & am completely disappointed by the downfall in their quality. Will no longer be ordering from there.

Two Chadwicks representatives lied to me about my shipping refund that supposed to have been processed.
Also the top I ordered was not the same color as shown on the site, false advertising. Talked to a representative on 04-30-24, she said it would cost 10.19 to return. The top cost 18+,

Big change & not for the better
Not sure what happened to Chadwicks but it has fallen off the cliff to terribleness. I used to order dress pants and blazers, and they were fine. Shipping took forever, but now, suddenly they have stopped selling women's sizes. They can stop wasting paper with the catalog, too. Very disappointed.
I ordered Two items,and never recieved order
I ordered Two items,it too two weeks for Chadwicks to ship the order. There was no tracking number. I emailed twice and got automated replys. I called and was told to phone back later and talk to someone. Called again and couldn't get a tracking number. After 5 weeks called again and after being put on hold for 5 minutes was told my order had been shipped to their other warehouse, they didn't know why as my shipping address was correct. They then asked me if I wanted to reorder,I asked if the items where in stock they checked and said no but they would be back in stock in two days. At this point I said cancel my order and refund my money.I still haven't seen my visa refund of over two hundred dollars. I should have listened to all the negative reviews, I fear I too have been scammed by this company.
Omg! Crooks!!!
Omg, just noticed a reoccurring charge for
Chadwicks rewards program. I didn't even sign up for it! They were charging me $18.14 per month! This prompted me to search their name in my bank statement and I found that they shorted me $30.00 on a return! In speaking with customer service about this, I was told that they charged me $19.00 for shipping and $10.00 for my return! I'm not sure how that happened, since I would never buy anything with that big of a shipping charge. As far as being charged for my return, I actually had to pay for shipping directly to the post office and Chadwicks charged me $10 on top of that! OMG!
VIP SERVICE A SCAM
I made a one time purchase and returned the items. I noticed my credit card was getting charged a $17 VIP charge. I called to cancel, and they continued to charge my credit card for another six months. They have no apologies, and will only credit for a certain amount.
Needed business attire.
I would give 3 articles of clothing a 5 star and 3 articles of clothing a 0 star.
A pair of pants had no hem on one leg.
I ordered 4 shirts all the same size, 2 fit perfectly,the other 2 pucker because they are so tight.
I've not tried on another pair of pants or jacket yet, more may be revealed. I would say overall inconsistent with quality and sizing.
Couldn't process credit card
Placed an order on December 6. Received an email the next day telling me: "The name or address given with this order does not match that of the issuing bank’s file." (First time this has ever happened in the 19 years I've had this credit card/3 years I've been at this address.) The email ended with: "If we do not hear from you within a month of this letter we will assume you want to cancel the order and do so." I immediately re-entered my billing information on their website, using the link provided in the email. No shipping notification followed, and when I checked on the order December 28 I found it had been silently cancelled on December 24. I called their customer service line but it didn't recognize my order number. Incredible. It's like they don't want to sell clothes.
Since the payment was never processed, at least all I wasted was my time. Dodged a bullet, maybe?

I like Chadwick clothing but their return policy sucks. Ordered a jacket but zipper was broken. Returned and after several weeks called to check. Had not yet received so asked for money to be returned. Finally got money (minus shipping cost) but then received another jacket. On Nov 30, returned that one and am still waiting on my money. They take the payment from my account immediately but then take forever to give it back. Just fix this. Probably will not order from them again.
VIP club ripoff
I live in NYC and do my food shopping online. Whole Foods is owned by Amazon Fresh. When you access the Whole Foods website, it re-directs you to Amazon Fresh.
Chadwicks requires the store name to be listed on the receipt. I explained to them that the Amazon Fresh receipts do not say Whole Foods on them. They said it's not on there, we won't pay.
I explained to them that Amazon Fresh owns Whole Foods. I gave them the link to Whole Foods, which re-directs you to Amazon Fresh. Two simple clicks would have solved the problem.
After many emails asking for an answer, they told me they will not click on the links to find my receipt.
I NEVER told them to do this. I said click on the links for proof that Whole Foods owns Amazon Fresh.
Incompetent, lazy, useless, not willing to make a small effort for a customer - the person that gives them a paycheck.
The CEO and six other top employees are getting letters of complaint.

Before reading my complaint, I’d like all interested to know that Chadwick’s of Boston reimbursed me for 11 months of VIP monthly charges! Thank you Chadwick’s. You have restored my faith in your company! Below was my complaint….
To get free shipping for ONE purchase at Chadwick’s of Boston back in July of 2021, I had evidently signed up for the VIP Club. It’s been a year so I don’t exactly remember the transaction but I obviously did not see, realize or recognize that Chadwick’s would start charging me $14.95 a month if I didn’t cancel it in 30 days! I do not remember seeing that or I would have! I have not used Chadwick’s since then and now, stupidly snookered and feeling violated, I’ve realized that Chadwicks has been charging my credit card that monthly fee for a year! A year!! That’s a $179.40! How did I not see that! Or more importantly, why did I not receive any email to warn me my 30 period was almost up! Seriously hurt to my core with the business model of this company and probably many other companies like it. Because obviously, you snooze you lose! I’m soooooo upset!!! Will warn all of my ladies friends about this.

Chadwick's "VIP Club" is a SCAM
Chadwick's "VIP Club" is a SCAM! AVOID THE $15 MONTHLY FEE! You will be required to send info with proof of purchase to a third-party site which, when received, is NEVER in the correct format. There are NO customer service people to speak with due to "high volume" of calls/online contacts - meaning they apparently do not have real customer service. Goods are shoddy, returns are costly (often more than the items purchased) so you will see NO savings from this site for sub-par, poorly made imports. There are many other options online offering better quality goods - with FREE shipping - so skip Chadwick's and ask friends who shop online whose sites they have had good experiences with. This will NOT be one of them!
What happened?
I used to shop by catalog at Chadwicks and thought I would revisit the site after all these years. I thought they would still be fashionable and up to date and how mistaken I was! I am so disappointed, Montgomery Wards in the 80's had more up-to-date fashions. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Please consider a better fashion buyer!

Wish there was a -10 because my experience was horrible. I purchased 2 items totaling $110.21; called and tried to cancel four times, but was told the system was down, and a note would be made to cancel order; multiple calls and emails were made/sent; items arrived 6 weeks after ordering, but they are crafty because the packages do not indicate where they are from so you have to open instead of refusing the package. Took to the PO the following day and returned. I disputed the charge on my credit card, and after another 6 weeks, my card was credited for $75.68, thus costing me $34.53 out-of-pocket to return. Whatever you do, stay away from this company because it's a nightmare.
Horrible return/exchange process
I've ordered from them for years, but something has changed. Merchandise is still good, but customer service is now horrible. Bought a Xmas present for my mom that had to be returned for exchange (mailed back right after Xmas). Make sure you read the fine print, as they say it will take 4- 6 weeks for this to occur. I also used their online FedEx label generator. Found out this does not store any tracking info with them (even though I also spoke with them and got a return authorization number), nor does their system send an email for your records, so be sure and copy down the tracking number and save it. I have called twice as it has been 4 weeks. Each time the agent I have spoken to has had broken English and told me they can't track my return and I just have to wait 6 weeks. I have little faith I am going to receive my exchange and will never order from them again, especially for a gift for someone else. They need to learn a few lessons from Amazon, Walmart, and other companies about timely online returns if they want happy customers.
Update: Today is 1/29 and I just received a refund on my credit card ($39.04 refunded for the $47.99 outfit....I guess they deducted $ for the shipping label). So, obviously they didn't process the exchange. I called and they said this item wasn't eligible for exchange (even though when I initially called them, they had told me it was and that exchanging it would allow me free shipping on the exchange). So now, since this is a replacement Xmas gift, I am having to order from scratch and pay $62.98 total for item plus shipping. Such a scam. Do not use this company!!!

I have been buying from Chadwick’s for more than 20 years and I ALWAYS get a great product. The sizes are true, the quality excellent. I have many items from 20+ years ago that still look like new. They are one of few companies that sell petite sizes. I just ordered 2 yoga pants on 1/1/22 and I received them today 1/6/22. Shipping is usually always quick.
