Horrible Service
Horrible experience with ordering from Chadwicks. Spoke to three different customers services representatives. First one - disconnected me, Second one (Gwen) - on hold for 11 minutes. I hung up dialed back third representative (May) told her to cancel any back orders. As when I ordered June 2, order was canceled by Chadwick, first representative stated they sent me a letter of which I never received. They had both my email address, and telephone number no information. That's it for me with Chadwicks the customer service is horrible as well as getting product when you order. The prices are great but getting the items you pay for at a reasonable deliverable time is suspect!!!

Terrible Customer service
Placed an order on 6/21. Pending charge approved on my credit card. Never got an email saying it shipped. I called customer service today and they told me my credit card was declined. I told him not true I can see the pending charge on my credit card and he argued with me! I called my credit card company and they told me absolutely not —that my card was approved and the pending charge is still there ! Chadwicks never emailed me to tell me there was ANY ISSUE with my order. Obviously this company does not care about shipping the customers orders and doesn’t care about the customer. I cancelled the order and told them they just lost a customer. Will never order with them again

Never will I order from Chadwicks again
I ordered a pajama top and bottom the third week in May and didn't receive them. Today, the 3rd week in June I received the top! When I called I found out the bottoms were on backorder!!! I was never notified of this so that I could buy pajamas somewhere else.

These people are terrible when it comes to contacting you about shipments. I waited 3 weeks nothing and then I called and nothing . So I called again they lady was nice and said this should have shipped. So 3 days later still no email of the shipment. Now I call and most of my order is on backorder for 3 months. Well who wants a summer skirt in October???

Please don't buy anything from this place. Last year I returned I package and I never received my money back. Today I placed an order and an hour late I needed to cancel it. I called to customer service and they told that I can't cancel the order because it has been already processed. It has been not shipped yet! now I guess I need to try to return it and pray to receive my money back! Worst company and experience. No to mention that the shipping is extremely expensive!

I ordered two sleeveless tops at a weight of 1.3 pounds. My shipping cost was $14.00 that alone has cost Chadwicks a customer. It took over a week to get to me. Chadwicks prices are a bit high and the styles are not as nice as they used to be. Won’t order or recommend this company to anyone. Ever.
Disappointed by high shipping and return costs
I ordered two pairs of pants, I received two pairs of pants, they didn't fit well, so I returned them. I was charged a lot more shipping than I would have expected for those two items, and I was charged more to return them. Due to this practice, the company issued me refunds that were much less than the cost of the original garments. It feels like their business model is to make a profit by not being upfront and transparent about their shipping and return policies. I will not being shopping at Chadwick's again. If you receive a catalog from them in the mail that you didn't request, just toss it.

Today I tried to place an order online. The website didnt have a place to use gift card. So I called customer service/to place order. Enough though I had full order on website They had to take full order over the phone. Because I had given my email address on website I was supposed to get 15% off.
After giving my order and gift card number and spending 30 to 45 min on call she hung up.on me.
I called back after repeating my problem and spending another 30 to 45 min and customer service not wanting to give me 15 % off my order he informed my my gift cards were null and void because they had a new management company. This company is very slippery and possibly close to fraudulent.
I previously was a frequent murderer. Hadn't ordered in about 4 yrs.

Scam with $14.95 per month recurring charge!
I am repeating what another user said. This happened to me with no notification or warning that they were charging me.
I returned a beautiful hoody with a request to send it to me in a different size and color. I didn't get it but thought they refunded me. Unfortunately they had signed me up for the VIP club with a recurring charge each month. Luckily I noticed it. They say they will be refunding me. They seemed to know exactly why I was calling. How decveptive!

Ordered 2 items- one was back ordered. They charged $12.99 for shipping one item that was poor quality when I received it. Sent it back and they charged $8.95 for return. Rip off company! Don’t order from them!
Decent producs; POOR COMMUNICATION!
In what universe does Chadwick's think it should not notify a customer that a pair of wool pants ordered in February is back ordered until August?! If you try to do the email "contact us", you MUST use one of their questions, and the back order question just takes you back to your order confirmation. I had to call, which is how I found out about the August date. No apology; no question abut whether I would like to cancel the order. Not even any surprise that the back order was so far back.

Who has been buying the clothes for this company? I used to find so many cute clothes. Now they seem to be for just the older generation. I have not placed an order for quite some time, and probably won't until the styles are more updated.
Cost me money to return wrong item sent
I ordered a black wool winter coat from Chadwicks. A couple of weeks later, the order arrived, but it was the wrong item, a horrible, tartan plaid, polyster blazer. I sent it back, which cost me around $15, since they didn't have free returns. Then they refunded me the cost of the coat, but not the shipping to me or from me, which was over $30. So, for their mistake, I'm out 30+ dollars and have nothing to show for it but aggravation.

Chadwick's "VIP" Membership
Chadwick's of Boston is selling a VIP member program that will automatically charge $14.95 to your credit card. The only way I could cancel this service was to call customer service. I had no knowledge of this charge, no reminder email I was about to be charged. This company is a SCAM! Plus, I had to return everything I ordered. STAY AWAY

I have been a customer of Chadwicks for more years than I can remember. Circumstances leading up to my dissatisfaction are that I placed an order, and they shipped it to me... twice, but not at the same time. I received the first order then a few weeks later, the second. I neglected to send the order back within their return guidelines. Therefore, they gave me a merchandise credit, which I wasn't happy about since it was their fault in the first place AND I had to pay to ship it back. So now I have a merchandise credit of $110.21. This happened in Spring of 2019. Fast forward... I try to use my credit sometime earlier this year, I forget when, but come to learn they are closed, but will be returning. Fast forward to today when I tried to use my credit. They refused to honor it saying they don't have any record of my previous order. I have an email with the order number, with my name, billing address shipping address and phone number, none of which have changed in 15 years. Conveniently, they can't find anything in their system. So, because of their mistake in the first place, I'm out $110.21. NEVER AGAIN will I do business with them.

I received my usual catalog and immediately placed an order. I had to make some concessions due to size and color availability but I thought maybe COVID was causing more online activity than usual. I was a little taken aback by price increases and special COVID fees but I was ordering for Christmas so OK. Received an email acknowledgment right away and 15 days later, far too late to make other arrangements, I get a letter (that’s right, a snail mail letter) saying all six items I ordered were “no longer available”!?!?
Take this to the bank I’ve placed my last “Chaddicks” order.
