Awful. Bought a new phone it was faulty took back to a dpd drop off point and been waiting 5 days so far they haven't bothered to pick it up. Meanwhile I have no phone. Contract first payment comes out tomorrow for something I don't have. Was not advised 084 numbers not included in the vodaphone contract they sold me so now I have charges. Also sold a business contract not a personal one which is what I require. Apalling. Do not reccomend.

Everything that could go wrong went wrong. I first tried to get a phone on 13/3/24 - it never arrived, but my number ported over so then I didn't have a phone. I then ordered another one on 5/4/24 - never arrived.
I've had two payments taken out for Direct debits for phones I've never received. Then the lady just cancelled my whole order today without my consent so I'm just going with someone else. The worst customer experience I have ever had in my life.

Took a contract iPhone 14 out with Carphone Warehouse online in August 23.
From the moment I got it it wasn’t working correctly to the point where I could not make calls at all by December.
Took it to local Curry’s who refused to have anything to do with it.
Contacted CW and they took it away Dec 16th via DPD.
Had no word since as to what is happening so called CW today to be told to
Sunderland branch of Curry’s and pick up a new one.
When I got there they seemed totally unaware of what to do despite the phone agent saying they would note my account.
They then. Found out what they had to do and said I would have to take a white phone. I refused as this was not the contract, I ordered and have contracted with them for a black phone and want the same back.
They have broken my contract with them.
I asked if they could order me a black one but was told that there was not a black one anywhere in the UK, clearly not true as I could have ordered one on their website when checking about 1 hour later.
Ended up having to take a blue phone or nothing. I feel that they are liars and not to be trusted and if you stick to your guns they send a bloke over to try to intimidate you into shutting up.
I will never buy from Curry’s or CarphoneWarehouse again and will tell everyone I know not to either.
Don’t trust them, they will tell you anything.

Ordered a phone online with delivery date next day. Received an email in junk explaining the order had an issue and call number. I called the number and waited 45mins only to be told they dont have in stock and dont know when will have. The rudest lady I think I have ever spoken too. I asked to cancel the order, then got put on hold for 15mins. Then she came back and literally murmered something and hung up the phone. I then received a cancellation email. Garbage service, wont use again.

Ordered a phone,Samsung z flip on id network 24 months contract,Should have come with a free galaxy watch 6.
When parcel arrived it came with a Samsung tag,
Rang twice, and I got two different stories ,first one said,we will contact you in 5 day with solutions,never happened,second agent said we sometimes send watch after 28 days,witch was lie, because in contract phone and gift supposed to come together, I could tell she was just trying fob me off,

Worse company for complaint bought 2 sim only deal nothing but rubbish. Deal good but getting half money cannot get .phone up you want Id number so you cannot talk .call center is India will not pass you on to supviser mobile UK part of dickson curry's

Just purchased a new phone that according to carphonewarehouse comes with 12 months Disney plus. no information on how to claim this so tried to message carphonewarehouse online as i have phone anxiety and it wont send any messages, other option is write to them!!!! so i went and asked currys and they said no cant do anything at all, so basically a complete con waist of time, "con"gratulations

Just bought Samsung S23 Ultra and Unlimited SIM for just £45 per month with little deposit made thanks a friend suggestion. The reviews are so poor that made me nervous. The friend said, do not worry, all works well with Carphone Warehouse. He has already bought 7 phones from them. He was so right.
I was checked - all done in 2-3 hours. Then I a got a message from Currys I'll get a mail when dispatched. Happend some hours later. On the next day I got the mobile from DHL. All accurate from ID Mobile as well.
I just got a mail from currys saying what includes the package. There was no mention about the phone. So I was nervous. No need to be. All is so great and quick. Samsung works well so far. Enjoy your new deals for great money.

Distinctly average service. Only went with them as they were offering cashback via Quidco on the phone I wanted. Phone fine, cashback refused. Should have gone with a different provider and will do next time.

One of the worse companys i have ever had the misfortune to deal with,wont sort my offers out,wont email me with my concerns,keep sending same email asking for same information,avoid these like the plaque

Carphone warehouse customer service is borderline criminal... I am now paying a 24-month contract that I don't want, for a phone that I did not receive.

Story in a nutshell...
- Accepted phone/ 24-month contract upgrade.
Dec.
- Regrettably changed my mind within the 14-day cooling off period (before receiving phone). Called carphone warehouse who contacted DPD to return phone.
- DPD loses phone. They advise it is up to carphone warehouse (the sender) to resolve the issue with them. Agreed.
- Carphone warehouse refuses to cancel contract or cooperate to resolve lost phone issue. They even refuse to provide any written evidence that I ordered the phone to begin with. Their advice is it is a "civil matter" between DPD and myself and I need to contact the police. Ridiculous.
-I now have no option other than to recover charges through my bank or raise the issue through the regulator.

That was the short version after going in circles with their customer service. From speaking to multiple customer service representatives, I found that as we approached an impasse, they would be quick to become argumentative. Several occasions where I would be put on hold then cut off. Occasions where they advised that I would be contacted again or receive additional information, then nothing. There was absolutely no expression of empathy to the issue, and no willingness to provide further advice. They simply washed there hands of the issue. The one and only positive is that they are quick to get hold of without any waiting time.

To conclude...
Don't risk/ waste time with a third party seller, even one that seems well established like Carphone warehouse. Go direct to the network company (Vodafone in my case), or avoid phone contracts all together.

Can I please point out anyone receiving cold calls from this company that it's NOT actually carphone warehouse, they are actually random scammers.

I'm not sticking up for this company but I don't think they should get negative feedback from people who don't read the papers or online news articles.

Carphone Warehouse a division of Currys/PC world have made it clear on their site that they do not randomly cold call people.

Often if there is an issue, they send an email letter or phone asking the individual by their last name.

These cold callers claiming to be from carphone warehouse don't know your name and don't give it to them.

Please rate this company by the kind of service they provided and not by a stranger phoning you out of the blue.

And if you have received a call out of the blue, please submit the number to who-called.co.uk

You can even check to see if the number is genuine or not.

If I could leave a minus I would! Contacted customer service to report a fraud attempt. Someone has stolen my details and tried to obtain mobile phones in my name.
7 times in one night I called, a total of 2hours.
After explaining the same thing over and over I was put on hold only to be cut off. On one occasion he said he was transferring me to another place, I said I had come from there and didn't want to go back as they couldn't help...guess what, he transferred me!
Finally on 7th attempt I spoke to someone who started to help only to , after being on hold 5 minutes , to cut me off. Abysmal customer service.
I have since contacted bt email twice to no avail.. no reply

My answer is simple, avoid at all costs!!

Most definitely the worse company I've ever had to endure. I've waited 3 mths so far to receive my cashback incentive (only reason I shopped online with them) speaking with their customer service team has been painful. I've called several times, none of the calls have been logged and they all repeat a generic message 'you'll receive your money in 3-5 days' not only is it a lie its a scam. Unfortunately I also ordered my son a phone for Christmas from them. I ordered it to come a couple of weeks before Christmas......it still hasn't arrived and they have shown little concern. My son
still has not never received his main Christmas present! Absolutely disgraceful. For anyone that is contemplating using carphone warehouse DON'T. Save your time, energy and sanity.

Rude customer service.They talk Like I'm bothering them. Leave me waiting without mentioning anything.When I asked if they were still there, they replied with a temper. Then make me wait for 15mins then hang up.

UPDATE - my mum called them and they said they’d sort it out but then she got an email saying that I did indeed call them however I failed to answer the security questions and that we can try again in 30 days. PISSTAKE. The lady said the same thing that the other lady said which was that I can’t answer the questions because my mum wasn’t present, and I only asked her to resend MY MUM THE EMAIL. My dad placed 2 orders. Got told to call them because they needed more info so I called them, they told me that they can’t give me information because he wasn’t present at the time which is fair enough, however they said they’d call him. No one called, so he called, extremely long wait on the line all times that we’ve called. They didn’t want to give him the other contract to my mum decided to get it. Ordered it but no emails, confirmation or anything. I chose next day delivery, but obviously didn’t happen. No point advertising it then. Once again called but lady didn’t want to give any updates at all, so I just asked her if she could resend the email but she was no use. Very awkward conversation. Such a pain in the a** trying to sort it online, or with them in fact!!

I bought an iPhone on line through Carphone Warehouse on the 19th of October and the phone was stolen in the street by a mugger on the 31st October. I contacted Currys/Carphone Warehouse and they blacklisted the phone but refused to confirm this via email so I can make a claim on my insurance! Apparently, Currys claim that they cant deal with online orders? I have made a complaint to their complaints team last Monday 14th November without even an acknowledgment of a reply? Do I go to the Ombudsman?
