A thyroid prescription with generically assigned copay of $2.56 was ordered without my knowledge and reassigned as a BRAND NAME costing $133.19. I called Caremark, Pamela 337717897, who denied my requ... Vis mer

Absolutely worst experience
Absolutely worst experience. Trying to save $30 on a prescription my mail order through CVS Caremark coverage took days of stress, frustration, 11 phone calls and no savings since delays forced purchase of short term refill and regular cost. No assurances were followed through. Still waiting for prescription to arrive.
First time this year I had a problem…
First time this year I had a problem getting a prescription mailed from them. Several texts sent from them.
I called the doctor 3 times and still they say they did not hear from the Dr. I called them twice and on the last 45 minutes call they would not answer my question and finally hung up with no return call back to me.
Disgusting Service
Disgusting, CVS Caremark needs to be shut down.
Meds running out who cares, they sure do not.
Meds say sent never were and they could care less.
Don't bother reaching out, the WILL NOT HELP YOU.
This is why CVS is going out of business is the quality of care doesn't even exist.
CVS Caremark will not re-approve my…
CVS Caremark will not re-approve my daughter's Zepbound. As of July 1, 2025 CVS Caremark removed Zepbound from their formulary without warning. Zepbound was ordered by my daughter's endocrinologist since April 2025 since my daughter had side effects from Wegovy. Zepbound has been working well and now CVS Caremark has disregarded the prior authorization that the endocrinologist completed justifying the Zepbound order. CVS in this case is playing an endocrinologist which should not be the case. I pay over $3,100/month for insurance and I expect Zepbound for my daughter since it has been effective. My daughter leaves for college in one week and now we have to face insurance pushback and have make a decision on a new medication when she starts college.
Following "approval" for brand name per…
Following "approval" for brand name per my Neurosurgeon's recommendation CVS Caremark sent me a "Good News" letter then proceeded to charge me for a Tier II medication. My Neurosurgeon has to call them to request a "Tier exception" isn't that the point of the Doctor writing the brand requirement? Generics have differentials that may not be therapeutic for certain people and therefore not an option. It is not a "choice" for my intractable Epilepsy disorder.
CVS is constantly treating my body like…
CVS is constantly treating my body like a science experiment by taking superior medications that work with my body away from me and making me try whatever their board has decided are suitable even though every time I have horrible side effects some of them permanent. I understand if it is a cost savings for them, but they should allow me my medications still even if I have to pay maybe a higher tier pricing. My doctors are surely know my body and my health history better than strangers at an insurance company. The past few years have been insane.
CVS Caremark is an absolute nightmare…
CVS Caremark is an absolute nightmare and we are stuck because this is the prescription processing service my husband's company provides with our Aetna insurance plan. NOTHING is covered without a prior authorization. The formulary list provided when logged in on the website does not match what they actually cover and they deny EVERY prior authorization the first time. I have been on the same ADHD medication-- a cheap generic-- for 17 years and they still deny the prior authorization on the first round every single time. My asthmatic daughter does best with certain brands of Albuterol inhalers, and Caremark only covers one type and it does not work nearly as well the others. Calling customer service is just a loop of recordings and you ever get to an actual person. They can treat consumers however they want because ultimately, employers will continue to use them no matter how AWFUL the service is. They are the worst.
Failure to cover needed prescriptions
Failure to cover needed prescriptions. Greed runs this company. Not care.
Feels like a scam. I was given a 60 day supply and was told it was a 90 day supply
I used mail order to get a 90 day supply. When my order came it was 2 bottles instead of the 3. I called in and they told me no it was correct. I was told many stories. All sounded like B.S. The manufacturer even says 1 bottle=30 days. I went up the ladder to no avail. They would not refund the difference. They would not send the 3 rd bottle. What a SCAM! I said at least they could have been transparent and said this upfront before I ordered! More B.S. I will never use them or trust them again.
My advice- CHECK and recheck your order to make sure you are getting what you should.
Possibly the worst Healthcare provider…
Possibly the worst Healthcare provider out there. Just received denial letter for a prescription my doctor deemed necessary. Funny how some paper pusher can have more authority than my physician over my healthcare. They ALWAYS use generics, and if it's a brand name, they will always deny it.
Misleading company
Was told multiple times that multiple medications would be covered only to be denied everytime my doctor submitted the prescriptions. After speaking with a supervisor I was told the 2 employees I spoke with misled me. Terrible company and support team. You would think with medications they would be careful with what they are telling people.
Worst company out there
Worst company out there. Frauds, liars and thieves! They have no intention of helping you. They sure are quick to tell you its a system error and that part has been submitted to be corrected even though you get zero help from this fraudulent company.
Caremark puts your health at risk
My experience with Caremark Medicare Plan D was initially good starting in 2012. However their operations and customer service deteriorated greatly over at least the past year. They inexplicably cancelled two prescriptions that both had remaining refills without notification. When my physician sent a new 90 day prescription they cancelled it because he sent a 10-day prescription to a local pharmacy to tide me over until the Caremark order arrived. They told me I should go buy what I needed out of pocket. And, unbelievably, today they cancelled the most recent prescription for no reason. There is more, these are examples. Customer service is abysmal. Representatives do not have knowledge of the Caremark system and repeatedly tell me things that are not true. I finally found a higher-up who actually told me that many of the reps don't know what they are doing (my words). If you have a choice, stay far away from Caremark. I'll be changing at next enrollment period. Caremark puts the health and safety of their paying customers at risk.
Consistently terrible to a shocking degree
I would do anything to not have Caremark as my insurance provider. It's a non stop battle for prior authorization, prescriptions expiring before they can be filled (due to delays imparted by Caremark itself), and lack of communication.
My most recent awful experience left me without my medication for 3 months. Thankfully I had been skipping doses for several years in order to build this stockpile in anticipation of prolonged delays caused by Caremark. But now that reserve medication stock in depleted. Why must it be this terrible?
Terrible
Terrible. They care more about profit and whatever hand shake they made over patient care.
I jumped through hoops, joined a program I didn’t want to be one just to stay on a medicine that worked for me. Now a month later they are telling me, the medicine is no longer covered. Complete BS
Caremark intentionally flagged my Rx so it would not fill prior to deadline for coverage.
Caremark notified me that would no longer cover my Zepbound prescription with a cutoff date of July 1st, 2025. My doctor submitted my last Rx for Zepbound on June 24th and they flagged it as attention required. No justification and no prescription filled and the pharmacist can't do anything for me either. This was obviously intentional on their part to keep from filling the final prescription. I went to their website to file a complaint and of course all they have is physical address to write to them. They obviously could care less although they call themselved caremark.
total fiasco
total fiasco - since cvs/caremark has taken over Clover Health pharma -- normal tier one prescriptions tha my wife + myself have been on for 3+ plus years are now being held up for authorizations - provider promptly supplies authorizations + even the expedited ones take a week + more to be processed !! - the delays for some prescriptions can create life threatening situations ! - we cave up cvs pharmacies year ago due to massive errors + other problems - we had to quit our Aetna Medicare advantage plan when they merged with cvs - non professional, non caring, + totally inadequate customer service - loved Clover till the CVS + Wallmart involvement - we + others will now have to leave Clover immediately when open enrollment takes effect -
My meds were lost
My meds were lost, I can’t get any help with resolving this problem. I would not recommend using them at all!!!!
Just cover my damn generic prescription.
Just got out of surgery, CVS/Caremark won't cover the Prescription. CVS doesn't carry the over the counter alternative as they would rather sell crap that has nothing to do with health. The Pharmacy hours well they are not great. Locations are understaffed so lines are excessive.
Worthless company
To be honest, I feel all this company cares about is money. They don’t care about patient lives patient care or customer satisfaction. It’s all about the bottom dollar and for that it’s really really sad.
