Horrible money hungry greedy bastards. All they care about is saving themselves money, which is why they cut Zepbound from their formulary. I hope they get hit with lawsuit after lawsuit for negligence.

They are asking for lawsuits

They are asking for lawsuits. I know a lady who lost 18% of her body weight with Wegovy and somehow they had the power to override the Dr. prescription and cancel the prescription entirely claiming that 18% weight loss in 3‐4 months isn't enough. This woman was on the verge of Type 2 Diabetes yet Caremark decides the prescription should be canceled. Caremark has a God complex that needs correction. Why do people really need physicians since Caremark already knows everything?

CVSUNcarmark

They will deny the medications you and your Dr have discussed that will the be best to get you well; the medication YOU DOCTOR, having examined you, feels is appropriate, recommends and prescribes. I am constantly required by insurance people to take a medication they prefer instead of what my doctor has recommended. I am struggling to be well without the appropriate medication prescribed by my doctor who has examined me. CVS UNcaremark does not care. It is quite obvious their only concern is money. I absolutely, wholeheartedly, 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND! A one star rating is better that’s they deserve.

Bad deals

The decision to make side deals with Novo Nordisk at the expense of your customers is disgusting. My doctor prescribed Zepbound for over a year; I have done everything recommended and been pretty successful on it. Now a decision made with no medical justification is theatening that progress so this company can see slightly larger profits.

Constantly requiring a prior…

Constantly requiring a prior authorization. The latest: They required a prior authorization for an $8 antihistamine. One that has been on the market since 1959. Inexcusable. Their customer phone service is a nightmare. Most of the agents barely speak English, and are reading from a script. They do not possess the knowledge to actually solve problems.

Worst customer service on the planet

The CVS Caremark app is the worst app I’ve ever used. I wrote down my username and password the last time they made me change them—so I KNOW what they are. If they “don’t match our records,” then the records are wrong, not me.

In order to send an email to get any help with the app, I have to sign in to the app….which it won’t let me do.

I’m not calling on the phone. I don’t have time to be on hold all day long and then deal with an automated system that’s been programmed to deliberately misunderstand anything I say.

There are no snail mail addresses to write to, and no emails that aren’t hidden by a demand to log in to an account.

This is the worst app I’ve ever used, and CVS Caremark has the worst customer service on the planet. I hope their stock tanks and the execs and big shareholders lose everything.

HORRIBLE TO DEAL WITH

HORRIBLE TO DEAL WITH, GO ON CHAT LINE TO QUESTION WHY OUR BILL WENT FROM 82.30 LAST FRIDAY TO NOW 32.98, GOT ESTIVAN AS SVC REP FOR CVS CHAT LINE, HE HUNG UP ON ME AND DID NOT ANSWER MY QUESTIONS, WENT BACK ON CHAT ASKED FOR SUPERVISOR GOT TANYA, GOT CUT OFF FROM HER WHILE CHATTING ALSO !! AND SHE DID HAVE TIME TO SAY SHE COULD NOT EVEN SEND ME A COP OF MY OWN BILL?.....WHAT IS GOING ON BEHIND THE SCENES WITH CVS CAREMARK, THEY ARE HORRIBLE, I ? WHY BILL WENT FROM 82.30 ON FRIDAY TO NOW 32.98 ON MONDAY, NO EXPLANATION....THIS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH AND APPARENTLY DO NOT CARE HOW THEIR CUSTOMERS ARE TREATED ON THE CHAT, VERIZON MADE US GO TO THIS CVS CAREMARK IN JAN OF THIS YEAR 2025 AND AFTER HAVING EXPRESS SCRIPTS FOR YEARS, AND I THOUGHT THEY WERE BAD.....CAREMARK TAKES THE CAKE AND EVEN MUCH MUCH WORSE THAN THEM..........SAD, WHOMEVER RUNS THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE FIRED.......PERIOD.

Worse than EXPRESS SCRIPPS…

Just when I thought EXPRESS SCRIPPS were the worst mail order, my pharmacy manager was changed to CAREMARK, which is WORSE. I have to wait 7-10 days for a much needed muscle relaxant via PONY EXPRESS ILLINOIS TO CALIFORNIA USPS.

Caremark doesn’t listen

Do not know what happened with this company. Always had CVS Caremark but had to switch to Silverscript Caremark or lose coverage. Was told all Rx would transfer automatically with switch. They did not and was not able to log in Caremark had to enroll in another profile. Had to have a Rx refilled and was told to have provider send in script. Called my provider and had they submit script and had an emergency amount submitted to local CVS which was fill but Caremark insisted they never received script. For over 2 months have gone back and forth Caremark claims never received script and my provider says script was submitted with confirmation. After many many many calls to Caremark with same response did not receive script from provider any yet a received numerous letters saying I was not eligible to have script fill through Caremark. I was also told that Rx drug was out of stock,name in Rx misspelled, doctor’s NPI number was missing. No one listens or investigates the issue only we gave not received script from doctor. I can get a parrot if I want to hear the same line over and over again. I even had another doctor submit the script with same result. Also gave them Rx number from the last refill that they looked up confirmed but still unable to get refill. Luckily this Rx is covered and there’s no charge so I will have it filled at a local pharmacy every month rather than get the 90 day through Caremark

Complaint Regarding Short-Dated Prescription and Poor Customer Service Response

CVS Caremark’s mail order pharmacy has seriously dropped the ball. In March 2024, I received a cream-based prescription from them that was supposed to last about 1.5 to 2 years. It came with an expiration date of October 2025—totally reasonable.

Fast forward to March 2025, and I received the exact same medication—but this time it expires in November 2025. That gives me only 8 months to use something meant to last almost twice that. Completely unacceptable.

When I called customer service to ask about it, I was told, “The provider has X amount of refills, so just refill it when it expires,” and “We have no control over how it’s dispensed.” That’s not just unhelpful—it’s irresponsible.

This kind of inconsistency and lack of accountability erodes trust in a service that’s supposed to support long-term care. Caremark needs to do better—for the sake of patients depending on them.

Terrible service

Only 1 star here. I gave 1 star for the quick speed on most orders. However, that's all I am giving. They are rude, and do not listen. You have to repeat things way too many times. They don't clean up their prescriptions that are no longer in use, which causes confusion on their part and problems for you. It is a mess. Whatever you do, do not store your card on file for payment as they will run those refills way too soon. It can get costly....with unwanted surprises in your bank account. The customer service has gotten worse in the past year. I was using them for everything, but after the last week and all of the mistakes and rude people I spoke with, I will be limiting my use to those I absolutely save the most on. It just isn't worth the headache. All of the excuses they gave this week was their fault. I just don't have time in my day to talk to 4 or 5 different people about 1 thing that the first person could've gotten done right the first time. I get that people make mistakes, this goes beyond that. It just isn't a pleasant experience anymore. And the working parts in their system do not communicate efficiently with each other!

They will Act like a Doctor

This money hungry company can improve by stop pretending to have a doctorate degree and stop denying medications. My parents wasted hours of their time multiple days in a row just to get this company to cover my mother's medication. My mother does not have a thyroid and they denied her thyroid medication which she has taken for thirty years. How dare they deny her. We pay you. Without our money you would not even be a company. They also got my father's easy name wrong six times and claimed they could not find him due to them constantly misspelling a common 4 letter name. So not only can they not spell, they will also deny whatever they can because they are greedy.

Absolute joke of a company, avoid at all costs

By far the worst prescription service ive ever encountered and will never use them again. 3 consecutive months a prescription there has been issues with shipping my prescription, on average arriving more than 10 days late, with customer service being worse than useless to help find a solution. I was consistently told they would overnight ship the prescription, and not once did they actually do this, even after having to call them on a daily basis to ensure they would actually be doing something. Do not use them under any circumstances if you care about actually receiving your prescription.

Horrible prescription coverage

Horrible prescription coverage. Insurance is refusing to fill a prescription that they have filled in the past. Saying they will only do generic, and I should just try another medicine. They are not doctors yet giving medical advice. There is no generic for Nurtec, and no other medication that works and prevents my migraines. I have had migraines since 4 years old, the only relief I have ever had was from Nurtec. It works so well that I did not have migraines for over 5years. Yet this company wants to deny a medication that has proven to work. It will be pointless, but I will be sending them my doctors/er bills since I paid for appointments and Caremark is going against doctors orders. I will have to pay for new appointments just to get some medication, which will not be the only medicine that works on my migraines. Disgusting company! Only in it for profits.

Worst Pharmacy Ever!!

If I could leave a 0 I would. This is the most awful pharmacy to deal with period!!!. I had to change to this company because if I didn't then my prescriptions would be no longer covered by my insurance. I changed 2 prescriptions on 02/05. One is still at USPS since 02/06 in Dallas and the other they claim needs dr approval but I have 10 refills left on it when I was with Walmart. They are still waiting for the dr but I called the dr office and they said they sent it to them. I am tired of going back and forth with them. I am curious as to how I will get my 150.00 back. They told me they will apply it to the next prescription. There will not be a next. I am sticking with Walmart.

Understood and was Very Helpful !

I have a script that needed refilling about every two weeks but when I tried, I was told it was too soon and I would be charged full uninsured price. Leslie answered the phone and was able to understand the situation and come up with a fix. We even talked about how to have the Doctor write scripts in the future that would avoid this situation with other patients. She even called the pharmacy for me! On top of that, she really seemed to enjoy her job and be helpful.

CVS Caremark is AWFUL. Their implementation of AI is customer unfriendly. They try to make it impossible to actually talk to a representative.

Insanity

A Caremark rep told me my Rxs from my old mail order pharmacy would transfer automatically. No meds came in the mail, so I called to find out what's up. 2 reps and a supervisor later, I learn the first rep lied and not only was there never a transfer initiated, but I have to read information for my like 20 meds to them over the phone. Insane. My old pharmacy (Optum) then provides a direct number to their pharmacy dept. so Caremark can call Optum. Nope! Caremark refuses. Says Optum must call Caremark. Why would the place where I'm no longer a customer call the place where I'm currently a customer?? Completely backwards. Feels like Caremark policies are meant to discourage customers from saving with the mail-in program. Sick people should not be treated this way.
