Have dealt with many companies for my cars the service these guys gave me was second to none collected me from station and made sure everything was done and perfect for me

If I could give zero stars, I would. Brown Car Company is hands down the most unprofessional, dishonest, and frustrating dealership I’ve ever dealt with.
The car I bought was advertised as “certified and in excellent condition.” Within a week, it started having serious mechanical issues, and when I called them, they shrugged it off and told me to “check with the manufacturer.” The so-called warranty with A1 they promised was basically useless fine print designed to get out of helping customers.
On top of that, their customer service is a nightmare—rude, dismissive, and nearly impossible to get on the phone. I spent hours being transferred around only to be told “there’s nothing we can do.”
This company is a total scam. Save yourself the headache, the wasted time, and the money—go literally anywhere else. Brown Car Company does not care about its customers, only about squeezing every pound they can.

AVOID this House of Cards. What a circus! Once they have your deposit that’s where the customer service ends. My partner agreed to purchase a Range Rover and was promised the vehicle would be gleaming and MOT’d ready to collect the following weekend. A WhatsApp number was provided to receive updates on progress etc during the week but nothing materialised. We ended up calling for an update the day before collection and every call after that has been lies and a complete runaround. We understand that delays can happen, things can change but don’t lie and treat customers like they are stupid!
I would be very very wary of purchasing from this company, if the culture of lying is there before purchase, I dread to think of the service if there was an issue afterwards.
Needless to say we are still waiting for a returned promised refund. AVOID AVOID AVOID

My friend bought a car from this dealership and it turned out to have multiple serious issues. He returned the car for repairs, but after a month nothing had been fixed. He then took it to an independent garage, which confirmed it would cost around £5,000 to put right. He ended up returning the car for them to re-list for sale.

I left a review about the experience, as I was with him when he bought the car. The owner clearly didn’t like this — he tracked down my home address, pushed a letter through my door threatening me with court, and when I called to discuss it, he threatened me over the phone, even saying he’d come to my house and threatening my dad as well.

Very pleased with the customer service and and very happy to get my new car. Would 100% deal with them again

I’ve been promised a copy of my warranty every week for 2 months - nothing.

I was promised it was serviced when I bought the car. Realised the copy of the service was missing. I’ve asked for a copy of it and been promised it every week for two months. Nothing.

Got the car 10miles down the road and warning lights came on.

Never ever buy a car from this company bought a Landrover discovery too many problems to list they said it was recently serviced had one done when Tyler delivered it the day after oil filters never touched problems with the engine be warned stay clear

My experience with Browns Car Company ⚠️

I purchased an Audi S3 from Browns Car Company. Within two days I returned it due to faults.

An independent inspection by Minitech Ltd on 19 July 2025 found multiple issues, including:
• Airbag control unit faults and airbag warning light on
• Pedestrian crash sensor errors
• Suspension and shock absorber faults
• Coolant leak
• Wiring damage to brake pad warning system
• Missing underbody components and damaged wheel backing plate

The inspection listed over £5,000 worth of repairs needed to address these safety and mechanical issues.

Browns Car Company agreed to refund me and took the car back, but payment was delayed for around a month until I said I would take legal action.

On the same day I returned the vehicle, I saw it listed for sale again.

Based on my experience, I recommend that anyone buying from any dealer gets an independent pre-purchase inspection.

Buyer be aware! Stay away from this dealer and do not buy from them. claim to fix the issues and then refuse to evidence the works they claim to have done, when the vehicle remains faulty.

Kept the vehicle and has refused to return it....

Booked appointment to view a golf drove for a hour to be told it had just been sold. Second car was on site to view was told it was mint condition however looked as though it had just been through a war zone.

Had a review asked of me during purchase which was fine as everything went smoothly, but since then has been an absolute nightmare as they sold me a car without a logbook (red flag in itself) but told me 2 weeks and it will be with me, this obviously never came and 2 weeks turned into 2 months and constant messaging they finally taxed the car for me (unable to do on my side) but this is now the second time they have randomly rescinded this and left me unable to do anything, it’s an absolute joke and has meant I am currently unable to drive the car I pay for, from their side apparently the person who previously owned was being a pain but that’s not my issue and has been too long now, very efficient in selling you the car but good luck after that.

I would give a zero if I could. Absolutely disgusting customer service, company and business in general and the BIGGEST SCAMMERS ever. Cars that shouldn't be road worthy, bodged so that they can sell for A LOT more than what they are worth and then as soon as they break (which is within the first week), they refuse to do anything and say that warranty (which is for about a year-2 years) does not cover it but it absolutely does. They then ignore all of your messages for weeks on end. As a young female going to buy a car by herself, they took advantage by lying and trying to get as much money from me as they could. I part-ex'ed a car and they started it and told me the clutch was going and they would only sell me another car if I paid them £700 there and then to get it fixed. This was a fairly new Audi A1- turns out nothing was wrong with the clutch but they took my money. Whilst purchasing the new car, they basically refuse to let you leave until you give them a positive trust pilot review, and even take your phone to log in and start it for you. Honestly, no words for this vile company which is run by a bunch of scamming cowboys. Please please PLEASE do not use this company unless you want to be left 1000's of pounds short and with a car that doesn't work properly and that you struggle to sell after. Strongly advise to go elsewhere. The car I looked at was stuffed in the back of another yard and was filthy, scuffed, had a chip in the window screen, the air con needed regassing, had several dents in the side, the bottom of the car had lumps of rust just falling off, the internal locking system was breaking, all of which they had bodged so they could sell but as soon as purchased and driving for around 3 days, started to all become issues again, and they had lost the spare key so left me waiting 2 weeks to collect whilst they 'bought a new one'. They didn't buy a new key, they had found one and it was stained, sticky and the rubber on the key was peeling off. After having all these issues, I found out that the car was only ever worth around £6000, yet they sold me for £15,000 because I was none the wiser. Even if you aren't a female, they will try their hardest to scam you and take your money for an awful car. Steer clear from Browns
