Was looking for an electric toothbrush. Briscoes had one I wanted marked down from $274 to $147. I brought the same item at the supermarket for $55.00

The quality of a company is judged by their customer support. Well this is the worst example of abhorrent online/email support I have ever experienced.

Brick and mortar is nice but online support is just a barrel of monkeys, accomplishing nothing.

I had 6 separate tickets opened for this issue. Two shipping labels for goods that were supposed to be shipped back. Never picked up. Repeating the same information well over a dozen times, even with a sales record in front of support staff.

All my tickets closed with no resolution.

Online it said my order was in stock but 3 to 7 days delivery. I wanted for Xmas so checked if my order was in stock in Tauranga and yes it was. I depended on friend to go to store to purchase and found they were out of stock. The store was busy but no one available to see if more coming in and when etc. I rang store . No 1 played music until a while later cut off. I reran and opted for line 3. Same thing. No answer machine and music was eventually cut off. I have read the reviews all saying similar things re the Tauranga store re stock not available when it says online it is, people going to store and wasting there time, no help and I read some refer to the rude staff. I am sitting here writing this when I see an ad on TV WHICH IS MISLEADING

I ordered a wallet that could only be bought online. Briscoes messaged the next day that it would arrive in 3-5 business days. 2 days later we were informed it had been picked up in Melbourne. It floated round Australia for a week, then another week in NZ before delivery. No updates, no help from their help desk.

Ordered click and collect with items showing they were in-store. When going an hour drive twice to be finally told they would not be here until the 25th December. Absolute time wasting, disappointing service.

Update - Item still shows as delivered NOT received - The chat function does not work - even though you receive emails telling you to use the chat function - after 4 days trying and the contact centre putting me directly to a auto callback system they called me after 2hrs - I asked a nr of questions why we are not told that delivery is from Australia and that the delivery is 10days from 'despatch' - which can be anything - the international track and trace link doesnt work and they can't tell me when i will get my item. The agent was not able to answer the questions saying it must be an error - when I asked about the conflicting info what she is telling me v. what is on my order information on Briscoes website - again no answer and I said I am actively going to make sure people know how scammy they are - she simply disconnected the call!
THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN misleading customers - and not providing a fair and reasonable service or a method to contact (that works) if there are problems - this surely is against the Consumers Guarantee Act and the Fair Trading Act.

Ordered cooling sheet sets. Available online only. Got refunded 4 days later as didnt have enough stock.
Pretty peeved off.

Scammy pricks!! 9 items out of 14 collected, yet happy to take my money & no follow up. Even the packing slip was incorrect so have to muck around to get in touch & go back to collect what should have been given in the first place. Useless mongrels, do not recommend Click & Collect it's obviously way too hard!

I ordered a Joseph Joseph kitchen tray it arrived with a missing piece. I have now followed this up over a three month period 4 emails. It's a missing plastic tray just sort it out! Stop sending me automated emails.

It starts with honesty on the website...you can pay your lawyers well but your shoppers are not lawyers so the legalese turns into bullshite ese.....three to five shipping days when it's coming from Australia was never going to happen. It took fourteen days to arrive from a partnership ( I say drop shipping ) Don't buy online from Briscoes, it's unpleasant.

Worst online shopping experience I have ever had. Ordered a radio from their website, only after I received the tracking information was it disclosed the item was shipping from Australia. It finally ended up being delivered after 4,weeks which is well outside the 3-7 business days promised on their website. Customer service is abysmal - I got the feeling the customer support peeps are used to people complaining about their poor service. Also, Briscoes be upfront about where your items ship from.

Checked the website for the item and took a screen shot. Got all the way to the store, to be told by a very rude assistant that it was not on sale.
She then told me that i must have seen it at the weekend because it was a weekend sale, I showed her the screenshot with the date which i had taken before heading to the shop. Refused to honor the sale price/advertised price.

I bought two Eco-Towelling fitted queen Real Matress Protectors. It claimed to be waterproof but its NOT. Had to change sheets and underlay ( two loads of laundry.)

Had them a week after buying them b4 use.

Make sure to not buy online with them.

I bought a pressure cooker 2 weeks ago, the item was dispatched fairly quickly, but it got stuck at aramex depot. I tried to reach out to aramex, they don’t respond. I reached out to Briscoes, and they took 2 days to get back to me, saying they would look into it. Since then I’ve been emailing them every day, asking to give me a refund, or let me pick another item in the store, but they simply never replied again. I’m gonna have to contact the bank for a chargeback.

Every day we were told our delivery would be arriving and it never happened. Then when the package finally arrived this morning , the towels were nothing like that was on their website in regards to colour. We ordered pink towels and they look way more orange than pink. Finally one of the items wasn't in the box yet it was named on the packing slip.
We will only shop at their actual shop from now on then we know what we are getting and if something is missing one can prove it straight away.

Worst website ever used. Unable to complete transactions or even navigate & insanely slow when eventually tries to. Given up in utter frustration multiple times over the last 6 months. Hundreds of dollars in revenue lost due to this. Get your shit together Briscoes. Appalling.

Customer Experience Feedback – Warranty Confusion

I purchased a Piemaker in December last year, and unfortunately, it developed a fault within the 12-month warranty period. Briscoes replaced it with a brand-new unit, which I appreciated. The exchange process itself was easy.

However, confusion arose regarding the warranty on the replacement. I was initially told that the warranty still starts from the original purchase date (December), not from the date I received the new unit. After some back and forth, I contacted Briscoes Head Office, and they confirmed that the warranty should reset from the date of replacement.

It took considerable effort to convince the staff at the Lullaby outlet to update the warranty and issue a new receipt accordingly. The staff appeared unaware of the correct policy, which led to unnecessary stress and confusion.

I was disappointed with the experience and the lack of clear guidance at the store level. Better staff training is needed to avoid situations like this.

I bought a 3-pack of Sistema Nest It containers. When I got home and opened the pack I found that 2 out of 3 lids didn't click shut at all.

Absolutely shameful packaging took several days to arrive with items exposed out of the top of the courier bag and packaging torn with holes & damaged on every side of the courier bag. Never again Briscoes will I spend $678 with your company!
