Pretty good

BPI has been my bank since college years where my parents transfer money for me to use as allowance and so far this bank has not failed me. Although they have inconsistent fees when I paid for my tuition fee a few times here. I need to always remind them that I have an account with them to avoid transaction fees.

Archaic Out-date Bank

I don't know how this Bank stays in business. Their system is so out dated and archaic it is pitiful. I can not even change my mailing address unless i fly up to Manila and go to the original branch and physically walk in the branch take a number and go to the counter and change it!!! Mean while my Paper Statements are being mailed to a former address to be accessed by who knows? So Much BS with this bank I hate it!!!

The long covid quarantine have been…

The long covid quarantine have been stressful, but despite the long period we continue.to settle our due balances SIP. But its more stressfull to see after 1 YEAR the complained dispute/ illegal transactions is still UNRESOLVED. And you have the manner to even continually show it to us on your recent SOA with LATE CHARGES, as if we have lapses??? The law on Fair Billing Act as per B.S.P. this should have been resolved in 60days and no liability on said illegal transaction. Fyi even my wife,s BPI Amore shares the same problem, getting monthly chargses from NETFLIX!!! Your security measures are useless!! . This is very infuriating and more stressful because you are not alleviating our concern Hence we are compel to cancel our account so we can have a peace of mind , worrying potential disputes again.

Worst Customer Service Ever

I applied in one of their branches for a credit card. After not hearing anything about its status for 6 weeks, I decided to give them a call. The agent told me that there wasn’t any application filed under my name. I visit the branch again and it turns out that my application hasn’t even been passed.

A week later they told me that they have found my application and have already passed it to the designated office. I was expecting to get a text message regarding the results after 6 weeks, but then again, I did not hear from them. I waited for two more weeks before calling them. When I did, the agent told me that there wasn’t any application under my name. I explained the situation and asked him to double check. Unfortunately, there wasn’t.

At the time when they have said that my application was passed for real this time, I asked for a POC and a contact number. So, I decided to contact her, but she never answered any of my calls or even sent me a text message to reassure me.

This was truly a frustrating, disappointing, and very stressful experience for me. I would not recommend this bank as they clearly do not care about their customers.

This has been my bank for 5 years…

This has been my bank for 5 years already and I have to admit that I have this love-hate relationship with them over the years. So far, my only concern is unannounced maintenance schedules but I have to commend that they have been doing a great job for me over the years. As a freelancer, I depend on my BPI bank account for my salary especially with clients for my remote work and all my payments go straight to my BPI account. I haven't had any problems with them ever since (unless the ATM is offline lol)

Very slow resolution of credit card dispute

I had a credit card dispute and resolution is still pending after 10 months!!! Very stressful to deal with this and they have not given any progress and keeps billing me with interest getting higher and higher each month!

Very poor in dealing with case like this!

The Bank of the Philippine Islands… worst customer service/terrible hotline

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) surely has one of the worst customer services out there. Waiting for long time on their phone hotline, incompetent staff which answers the phone, strange procedures, online banking light years behind what is possible with other banks (in other parts of the world), complicated and ilogical procedures (e.g. the canceled my prepaid Mastercard and promised to transfer the amount, now/3 weeks later I am still waiting and they asked me "prove that you had that amount on your card/account"). Never again and do not recommend - try using a more international bank.
