Not OFW Friendly
Not OFW Friendly. Don't know how to handle our problems. It's like they want you to go back to the Philippines before they can resolve the problem. Their call centers are asking for phone# to verify the account, of course some already forgot what they used. Some OFWs are long been outside the country. Then, calling them is yeah long distance, so there is charge without resolution. Email follow ups are been done, after 2 or 3 exchange of emails for their requests, NO reply after that. This is one of the many issues I had with this bank. The last time my problem was resolved, its because I went home for vacation. Unbelievable right?!
BPI HAS LESS THAN POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
Since October 2020 I have been in touch with BPI thru their Main line. I have to spend hundreds of dollars to wait more than an hour and get someone on the phone to be transferred and wait for more, US Eastern Time from 12mn to 4am only on several occasions just for them to change country/area code of my phone in their file to get one time pin # to open account online. Only in May-June finally got online account.
Since June 2021, I have requested by email in their different addresses to change back my savings acct to time deposit. Until now no response.
The bank has below than poor customer service esp if you are in touch by phone or email from America. They are respectful personnel over phone but you can't get right answer at one time and fast.
If you are in Management, then you are as worst as your staff since you read online of so many complaints yet you all did nothing to improve. Would you prefer to lose more accounts and have bad reputation? Is this why you lost all your branches in America?

Hindi ako makapagOnline banking error message says that "your details were not found. Please update your details in any of our branches." what the meaning of that?

BPI is the worst Bank!!!! imagine using your bank account then suddenly they closed it without noticing the owner of the active account!!!!! They even got my number and emails when applying my bank account since they need it but they didn't use it to notify me that they are going to close it!!!!! and now I am worrying about the money transacted into my account because they CLOSED IT WITHOUT SENDING ME A NOTICE!!!!!!!!

BPI loves to torture their customers. I have waited 2 hours under the sun for queuing. Once I'm with the customer service to open an account, they don't want to accept because I forgot 1 requirement which is a billing statement (Other banks just need 2 IDs). I told them that I live few mins away so I can get the billing statement quickly, but they don't want to wait for me because its already "closing time" (its 2:40pm and their closing at 3:00pm on Wednesday), so I left. I opened an account in another bank and it only requires 2 IDs, plus their customer service is fricking great!!!! "BPI best bank in the Philippines", I totally agree on this statement because they are the best on torturing their customers

Been with other banks in the past but BPI customer service is the worst. When there is an unauthorized transaction in my account, I forget it cause I could be blame. But the customer service who helped me fix it totally mess my account number, card replacement, etc. Now I have a new account number I cannot use and the money still go to my old account number and everytime I get my paycheck, I'm scared someone unauthorized will get my money. I called their customer service again to JUST ask questions about it but I was referred to the physical bank instead. Today, I did BPI to Cash to Palawan, and Palawan said system is down and they can't encash my money. So I called BPI and even before I ask the ETA for cancellation, she cancelled the transaction already and told me later on that it'll take 10 business days for my money to be credited back to my account. If she just let me asked the ETA and have known it'd take that long, I should've not cancel it. BPI has the stupidest customer service representatives.

They deduct fees from your account with some weird looking codes and when you complain, you will be redirected to the void. Nobody answers you until finally you give up.
Imagine they do this to their millions of customers. Instant millions. No sweat.
I am not sure how they manage to receive awards such as best bank in the philippines. Baka binili.
My advise, switch to digital banks. Higher interest rates, good customer service response.

Very disappointing
Very disappointing! It's been a week already of waiting for my money to be credited back to my account but up until today they have no updates yet! I filed for a Dispense withdrawal complaint last Monday and they advised me to wait for 2-3 banking days, which I did, only to find out that it's still under verification. I tried to be patient with you, however, still today it hasn't been resolved yet. I called your hotline and the agent name Fely refused to assist me saying that the department handling this issue is close as of now and she advised me to send an email instead. I did that, however, your response was to call the hotline!!! I tried to chat with you through Facebook and you left my messages on seen!! This is very traumatic!!!

Great bank in total, but needs improvement on their ATMs that frequently goes out of service or is on maintenance. Although it has a convenient mobile app for online transactions, they need to improve their physical services.

Giving them a high remark rather for I am impressed with their APP and online website. Their online presence needs work and improvement tho. Comparing to Union Bank and CHina Bank Savings, I recommend you go to the two latter if you are choosing between Philippine Bnks. BPI phsyical bank on the otherhand is very time consuming for just a single transaction.

Their ads in their website that it will take only 5 days to have a decision on your loan and yet, its been 3 months still pending.
BPI credit card
I'm an ofw and applied for a credit card. Requirements were waived as i deposited 50K which also serve as my credit limit. I didn't receive my card as i need to go back to work in SG. My sister received it in my behalf.
I emailed them asking assistance on how i can activate my card if I'm out of d country. Their reply was they don't assist customer through email. I email back telling them if i can't activate my card, I'll better throw it.
Their reply was, i can canceled my card by calling their number or request via email. After that, they told me that the card is only activated upon receipt.
Imagine, a bank offering to close d card instead of by saying honestly and right away that d card is "already activated"
I requested for a cancellation of my card in which they did but they charged me first 1500 pesos for a card that wasn't been used!
If they are honest enough, they will tell me about the charge and i won't pursue the card cancellation.
The bank don't lend me credit, the credit limit is MY MONEY.
I immediately transfer all my money to other bank and leave nothing.
This is a very horrible experience. I don't want to see anything related to BPI.
