Das Unternehmen hätte ehrlicherweise nicht einmal 1 Stern verdient. Bitte lasst die Finger davon! Egal was dir die Mitarbeiter vor Ort versprechen, schlussendlich wird irgend ein Phantasie-Betrag der Kreditkarte belastet, da man nicht voll getankt hätte. Vorweisen von Tankbeleg und Foto der Tankanzeige reichen angeblich nicht als Beweis. Habe dies gleich in 2 Fällen hintereinander erlebt. Zudem werden dieselben Schäden am Auto immer und immer wieder dem Kunden verrechnet. Es gibt eigentlich nichts, was reibungslos abläuft bei der Miete mit Bluu. Unfaire und unmenschliche Maschen, anstatt ehrlichverdientes Geld... Nie wieder!

This company is a SCAM!!! DON’T USE!!! I had paid 100% rental fee online while they still tricked me into signing an agreement at the counter with hidden fees including Collision Damage Waiver Top Up and Theft Loss Waiver Top Up which are definitely not legit and the agent said the fees, similar to gas refuelling fee, did not apply to me. But they still charged 550 rands from my credit card 3 days after I returned the car and left South Africa. I did some research online and found many other customers who were scammed in similar ways.

Awful customer service. I arrived at the Cape Town central branch to collect my pre-booked hire car (arranged months in advance) only to be told that the company had "cancelled the booking" without telling me. This left me with re-arranged accommodation but no car to get to it. The employee just shrugged at me, wholly disinterested.

Hired a car in March 2024, filled up with fuel beside the returns area . Everything was ok when returning the vehicle. A week later i received a bill for refuelling and an admin charge.Now this week, 4 months later they have taken £17.20 from my card saying it is a late payment charge. This company are scammers and should be avoided. Please do not use them, they are the worst ever, poor poor poor. If you use them you will regret it. I gave them a star at the start of this review but trust me it should be a minus.

Absolute Frechheit. Nach über 4 Monaten kommt eine Rechnung über 40 Euro. Verspätungsgebühr. Schämt Euch für diese Abzocke!

Dont use BLUU, they will take you fuelled up rental return drive it to a garage to put q or 2 ltr in then charge you extra to fill it up. They also charge a rediculous R120 for stupid contract fee. If you chip a windscreen be careful as it seem they dont have insuranve on their vehicles if did not take out additional insuranve cover. They will not charge excee only but the full replacement amount. And likely thencaim the same from their insurance. Useless dodgy car rental stay clear. Never had nonesense like this before from any rental firm. Two weeks later they still sitting on R18000 DEPOSIT.

Hired a car in capetown, collected and returned no issues. Only to be a sent an invoice for a contract fee of R120 that will be taken from my credit card. Yet this was no where stated or informed that a contract fee will be taken in addition to what we paid.

Absolute scammers.

Bluu car rental was actually good. Pick up was easy and fast. BUT... I just received my final invoice and have been charged for refuelling!!!! We refuelled the car at the airport in Joburg and asked the attendant 3 times to top up. Leads on to believe that there is something fishy going at that branch

Do not rent any vehicle from these scammers, you will not receive your deposit back, they invent excuses, claiming my card is an international one, when they are based at CT International airport, you couldn’t make it up. Please avoid at any cost, you will be scammed!!!

Normally, I am not writing reviews. HOWEVER for this company I will do it to ensure that people would not rent a car from this firm. We went to South-Africa to rent a car from Johannesburg to Durban and afterwards from Port Elisabeth to Cape Town. When we had to deliver the car back at both airports, the people from the bluu company did their very best to search for the smallest scratches/damages on the car. They blaimed us for damaging the car, even we were sure that it was not our fault. Even if this firm looks attractive due to the lower price of car renting, in the end, the money you have to pay is even higher than at the regular firms. So my recommendation: do not hire a car at bluu!!

During our roadtrip in south africa we did rent a car two times (johannesburg - durban and port elizabeth - cape town) with this company. When we wanted to hand in the cars at both destinations, they again find ‘ scratches, damage’ that were not present during pick up they told us, which was not the case (they even search for scratches below the car) we didn’t had any car accident or problem, so please don’t use this company, they only want money.

This company is the definition of an open scam. I rented a car, filled the tank upon return, I had a tiny dent and was told I’d get an invoice via mail. When I travelled back to my country I was charged over 6k Rands on my credit card without any sort of correspondence or invoice. Avoid this scam company.

This car rental company is unreliable, we had refueled the car at Johannesburg airport where we returned the car, but we still received a bill for petrol afterwards, this is what I call pure theft. Avoid this car rental company, I certainly won't rent from them again.

15 march Sunnycars solved the problem. Great company.

Erroneous charges after returning home to UK including fuel after I had filled at station on airport, admin charge (?) R100, higher than contract extra driver charge. All of these were taken from my credit card not the currency card I paid with for the rental so incurred extra charge from my provider. This scam must be a great boost to their profit line if they are doing to each and every customer. BTW I specifically asked if there was anything to pay when I dropped of the car and was told no, so don’t rely on them telling the truth even to your face !!

We hired a car through blue over Christmas. We paid in full for the rental and anticipated some charges for toll fees. Suddenly between the 8th and 10th of January they debited my credit card with thousands of rands.... no explanation, no invoices.we have no idea what the charges are for. Do not use this company!! Absolute thieves!!!!

Fahrzeug wurde gemietet und es wurden viele Zusatzzahlungen abgeschlossen. Zusätzlich wurde ein SB Schutz abgeschlossen und ein Diebstahlschutz ohne Selbstbeteiligung. Trotzdem verlangt der Vermieter 2500 € Sicherheitsleistung zusätzlich zum Mietpreis. Jetzt kostet der Wagen mehr, als der gesamte Urlaub. Das ist komplett unseriös. Besonders, weil es erst angesprochen wurde, nach dem der Vertrag abgeschlossen wurde. So arbeitet nur die Mafia. Tipp von mir, Finger weg.

Was a bit unsure after heaving read some reviews before. Rented a Toyota Fortuner for 2.5 weeks. Received a Hilux instead which is a bad choice for gravel roads due to the bonnet where the luggage gets buried under sand. Wrote an Email to BLUU and got the desired Fortuner delivered to where I was at the moment without additional fee (took them a 400km drive to bring the car). Super friendly staff and reliable. Pick up, exchange and return of the cars quick and professional. Highly recommended company, at least the team at Windhoek Airport, though.

While I was satisfied with the car and service I am very irrigated with all the hidden fees. Anyone hiring from them must understand that the price they quote online will not be what you are charged.

I hire cars regularly and do not read the T&Cs every time I hire a car. It was the first time I hired a car from Bluu (chose them because they were cheapest online) however it will be my last as the costs hidden in the T&Cs meant it was a lot more expensive.

Blue car rentals are a bunch of thieves.Stay away from that company. Had an accident. Was insured. They charged me the full amount of the damage and told me that they could not recover the money from the third party. They closed the case and I had to foot the full bill for the amount. Absolutely ridiculous. Run if u hear the name Bluu Rentals.

We rented a car for 3 weeks in the month of February 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa. On February 10, we stopped at a red light when we were hit from behind by another car. So we are not at fault.
We were charged a total amount of more than 1200.00 €. Bluu would do the necessary to repay this through the insurance of the other party. After more than 6 months and 10 emails to Bluu rental company, we have still not been reimbursed.
I therefore strongly advise against renting a car from this company. This is pure theft.
