You people suck. I called about a gift card at the end of December. After that every time I called. I was on the phone for at least 15 - 20 minutes. I got no where. First I would talk to a black woman. "I'll check on that for you. " or "let me check on that". Something to that effect. Then I get Mumbai. I can't do what they want. They wanted proof of my address. I couldn't fax them anything. They didn't give me a fax number. I don't have access to a scanner. So they screwed me out of $50. I've never had this much problem before. I told them I've lived here over 15 years. I haven't moved. They said they had an incomplete or incorrect address. Incompetence on the other end of the phone is the problem. They probably get bonuses for screwing people out of gift cards. Or send them to themselves or relatives. If i could leave a zero I would.
Problem resolved within a hour! Extremely happy.

Only get 2 stars. whole experience with them was a complete nightmare and is still on going. An Odeon gift card is apparently issued by these people! The first and last lady that I spoke to were the best out of the bunch, out of the 4 phone calls I had with them, to sort this issue. should have taken 1-2 days to sort which it didn't so continued to phone daily for updates on the issue. This company issue gift cards for the Odeon cinema, it was not activated when it was sent out as Christmas gift. So it did not work, when used and subsequently caused a lot of embarrassment to the recipient. Plus trying to get it activated was also an issue which took me 4 days (and not through them - Odeon online customer services managed to activate card once I gave them the gift card number and a screenshot of the original order). Patrica finally looked into my case 5 days later, too late I had managed to sort it myself. Fingers crossed it works when I use it, as the recipient does not want to use again. It has been a very costly experience for me, when it was suppose to be a nice Christmas present. I suggest you don't use them and Odeon please get yourselves a new distributor for your gift cards. Date of purchase of gift card was end of November 2025, the experience with Blackhawk started on the 13th April 2026.

I sent a message to customer service, and within a day, they reinstated my card and balance and let me know why it wasn't working. I am now aware of the inactivity time frame and was greatful they gave me a one time pass and reinstated my gift card. Wonderful service and generous offer! Another company could have said too bad, tough loss, and done nothing. Thank you again!

She provided detailed to the time frame I would receive the replacement gift card and assured me the funds dod not have an expiration date. Highly professional and effective communication.

I had to return part of the purchase, and the return was placed on the gift card that I no longer had. I contacted the customer service phone number and spoke with a representative who advised the refund was pending and when it posts, a new card will be issued. I waited a couple of days and called back. Another customer service representative checked and the refund had posted, the representative advised I will receive a new card in 7-10 days with the refunded amount on it. Excellent customer service by both representatives and a great relief knowing that a new card will be issued with the refund amount on it.

Where do I even start!?!! Unless you want to spend a portion of your day, or days, in frustration with no solutions. Calling 4 different numbers multiples times, for multiple hours, explaining the same thing multiple times, to multiple so called “customer service representatives” that give you multiple explanations, with possible multiple different reasons for the issue, and to pass you on to multiple other companies; Apple, Visa, your network provider, just to end up circling back to multiple times to, by the grace of god, finally get all of these MULTIPLE Blackhawk associates to give you a collectively consistent and aligning answer..”Sorry, there’s nothing we can do”.
I wasted hours of my time, I’ve wasted my money, just for them to spend hours of their time, doing absolutely nothing! They are practically unreachable, they are departmentally unorganized, and they don’t care, because they don’t have to. It will forever be etched into my brain to assertively warn people in any discussion of gift cards to, at all costs, stay away from Blackhawk!!! So long and thanks for all the fish!
