Although I had to contact BHSF a few times because I had emailed the information to enquiries instead of claims eventually it was dealt with and a friendly letter from Neil Ryder wishing me a speedy recovery.
I have used them for decades and pleased with the service.

Chiropody claim
I spoke to Customer Services after a claim for podiatry treatment was refused in error by the Claims Department. The advisor I spoke to, Alan, was brilliant, very courteous and helpful. He investigated the problem thoroughly, and followed it up promptly. Thank you Alan!

I received a text saying that the foot healthcare practitioner whom l have used previously and successfully claimed was not HCPC Registered which he is HCPC CH17196
This registration is clearly displayed on the bottom of the receipt that l submitted

When BHSF consider any claim, we go by the details shown on the submitted documentation. This is why our ‘Terms Of Use,’ which must be read and accepted when submitting any claim through our Online Portal, state exactly what is needed for our CST to consider any claim. If information is missing, a claim will be declined & require re-submitting with more evidence. Furthermore, HCPC registration isn’t indefinite, as practitioners are required to ensure this is kept up-to-date to retain their licenses. This is why we’ll always ask for proof of their registration number when claiming, so we can check this.
After reviewing your recent claim, I can see that it was declined correctly, as the HCPC number you’re referencing wasn’t shown on the submitted picture. You’d sent us half a picture, with this crucial detail missing off the bottom.
In future, please ensure you submit a full picture showing all the details. Should you need any help/ guidance on this though, please do not hesitate to contact our Helpdesk and we’ll do what we can to assist.

I had password problems and couldn't sign in to make a claim. Neil Ryder was extremely patient and helpful and as a result I managed to sort out the problem.

Always a great service. I've been a member for nearly 20 years. I also have Westfield through work (I never claim the same thing twice) and these guys have a better service. I like the online form and the immediate email acknowledgement. Then the processing time is very quick and payout too. Better than Westfield's. Keep up the great work!
