Received the money quickly however the website/app could be more user friendly. It’s not easy to use and kept having to restart the claim. Also wish you could sacrifice some parts you will never use... Vis mer

This is the first time I'm using…

This is the first time I'm using Healthshield. And I'm very impressed with how prompt they are in dealing with the claims. The whole process of doing the claims online is very straight forward and easy to do as well. Thank you again Healthshield. Chrystal Hall.

Top marks for customer service Elise!

I wanted to send a note of thanks for the excellent service received from Elise McConvey - 13/5/26. I was quite distressed about a decision made by Healthshield, and she was warm, reassuring and professional throughout. Whatever the outcome, I was touched by how gentle and supportive she was. We don't often hear the good things about customer service, so I'm taking the time to say thank you to Elise, who helped a great deal in what was a very difficult moment. She should be promoted to being a wellbeing trainer or customer service manager so others can benefit from her skills! Thank you also to Healthshield for finding in my favour regarding the claim.

They are ok with most claims but their dental accident…

They are ok with most claims but the process required to prove a dental accident and their definition of what is considered a dental accident is rather pathetic... So not all accidents are accidents. Dealing with other companies has been far easier and less frustrating than dealing with Health Shield.

HealthShield has been extremely disappointing and difficult to deal with

HealthShield has been extremely disappointing and difficult to deal with.

For over 12 months, I have been trying to add my partner to my policy. During that time, almost every claim I have submitted has been rejected, with only one claim being accepted. Even then, emergency dental treatment was recorded as standard care, meaning the claim was not handled in the way I expected.

The claims process is stressful, unclear, and inconsistent. It has now reached the point where it directly affects whether I seek treatment. I delay or avoid treatment because I cannot manage the stress of submitting a claim, gathering evidence, and then being told that the evidence is still not acceptable.

For example, I need to order new glasses, but I am genuinely worried HealthShield will reject the claim regardless of whether I buy them online or in store, and regardless of what evidence I provide. It feels like nothing is ever good enough.

I also have dental abscesses, but because of previous rejected claims and the way emergency dental treatment was handled, I now feel I need to save up first and assume HealthShield may refuse to reimburse me. That is not how a health cash plan should make someone feel.

The GP service has also been of no practical value to me. When I have tried to use it, I have been immediately directed back to my family GP after discussing my health needs and my Autism. This demonstrates how limited and unsuitable the service is for someone in my position, particularly when the purpose of the benefit is supposed to be easier access to support.

The service has been obtuse, inconsistent, and difficult at every stage. Rather than providing peace of mind, it has created additional stress and made it harder for me to access the treatment I need.

This is not the experience we strive to provide for our members.
