Better - Tadworth Leisure and Community Centre Anmeldelser 

I have just joined Better with a Blue Light Card discount. For what I pay it is excellent value for use of the gym, pool and fitness classes. I mainly use the gym, which is spacious, very well equipped with high quality equipment and not too busy whenever I have used it. The centre is clean, modern and well maintained. The only criticism of the gym is there no machine to train calves. So far so very good.

Brilliant gym, it's been years since I was last in one. The equipment is so impressive. Looking forward to going again tomorrow, thank you because after a while in hospital, where wellness was encouraged. The simple access to membership has really helped at a time when I'm anxious. 5 🌟 all day long

As per every other Better centre, it's impossible to swim at this place if you're an adult who works full time during the week. I went to swim late morning on a Saturday and three-quarters of the main pool was occupied by families with young kids, despite there being a spacious kids' pool located directly opposite the adult's pool. All that was left in the main pool for adults to swim in were two extremely narrow lines (one fast and the other slow, no medium). These lanes were packed and impossible to swim in, so I decided to try my luck in the other part of the pool, which was taken over by said families.

I managed to swim a few lengths but had to use the same tiny lane to go back and forth due to selfish parents getting in everyone's way and not looking where they were going. One guy kept swimming diagonally and getting in everyone's way, and crashed into myself and other adults who were attempting to do lengths. This is clearly a huge safety hazard but the lifeguards don't care.

I then moved to the slow lane once a horde of people left, but only managed ten minutes there before the lifeguards ordered everyone out of the slow lane so a disabled swimming class could use the lane instead. Of course I have no objection to these classes taking place, but a) it's rude to kick members out of the pool without any forewarning b) why not host the disabled swimming lessons in the other section of the pool, which is significantly larger and clearly a more suitable space for disabled swimmers?!!

Like many other Better members I've spoken to, I'm sick of not being able to properly swim at the weekends because kids' swimming is given unfair priority 7 days a week, most hours of the day. There is always some form of disruption or chaos, which ends up cutting my swim very short or making it a deeply unpleasant experience.

This is wonderful, clean leisure centre, offering lots of activities for the community. The management & staff are very friendly & welcoming & nothing is ever to much trouble for them. The dance fitness classes with Gill are fantastic. And there is a 60 + club that offers daily activities with free tea & coffee & an area to sit with friends & make new ones. Being 60+ myself I am so grateful that I have such a great leisure centre close by which has totally made a big difference to my life & I highly recommend others to try it too.

I had moved to the area as lockdown started and knew few people locally when it was over. Tadworth centre has been a lifesaver both in terms of fitness but also social contact.
The staff and instructors are, without exception, welcoming ,kind and expert in their respective fields. The centre positively promotes users giving feedback on classes they would like to have available and where practical arrange that these happen.

This centre is fantastic- it’s modern, it’s clean, has excellent facilities, is well managed and friendly. They encourage feed back. I’ve been a member for about 3 years and use it regularly.
They have a wonderful breadth of classes- and have added even more since January. The classes are always well booked out in advance. This is down to the great teachers they have- a range of styles and personalities to suit your type of fitness- like intense burners?or want some more relaxed fun while getting fit? They have you covered. Really been a wonderful addition to my life.
Particular mention to Karen’s expert Pilates classes, to fabulous dance teacher Gill for the most fun dance classes and to lovely Lindsay for step. These are not the only ones- they all make the centre excellent.
This is a great place to come and get into fitness with basic classes too.
I don’t use the pool, but my friends love it- clean and well supervised. The gym is big and modern. The cycle studio has great quality bikes.
A monthly membership is fantastic value and includes everything in the centre. It means you get first choice of classes, although you still have to be ready to book when they are released as many go to waitlist within minutes.
What could be improved? Building another studio so we don’t have to use the community room for some classes, and a permanent room for children’s soft play, giving better availability for families with young children, and allowing the sports hall to be used for sport all the time.
Really recommend this friendly, well run centre.

I use Tadworth leisure during the summer months when I’m nearby and I find it the best! Gill’s dance fitness is a game changer when it comes to physical and mental wellbeing and socialising after and all the other staff and instructors I meet are truly delightful. Can’t recommend it highly enough and can wait to get back and fit again.

Reception staff and all the trainers are very friendly and professional.
The centre is always very clean and welcoming. Particularly the 60+ classes and beverages. I have made new friends and taken up a new sport since joining.

Tadworth Leisure centre is great. It is modern and clean, with a very good range of classes, equipment and facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful. The booking app is easy to use. I love the fact that there are sports activities for all ages, from toddlers to Seniors. As a recent retiree, the leisure centre is helping me to have a fun, healthy and happy retirement.

Tadworth leisure centre is better than ever now! Great gym, huge variety of sports. I particularly love the walking netball! The classes are great with really skilled instructors. And to cap it all, now I’m retired there are activities and a seniors club in the mornings, so all age groups are enjoying the centre!

Fantastic leisure centre! Our Dance Fitness classes with Gill are fantastic - both physically and mentally. Gill also arranges a tea/coffee break for all of us after every class, encouraging us to socialise and get to know one another - so thoughtful and important for mental health 😊 My Pilates classes with Karen are my favourite, though: she is a superb instructor - firm and careful, always ensuring that we do not cause our bodies any harm through careless technique. I feel incredibly lucky to be part of the Tadworth Leisure Centre!

Fantastic facilities,use the pool 4 times a week and the sports hall,everything very clean,staff are attentive and helpful,would definitely recommend.

Had a gym induction and lesson today. Claudia was great at showing me round and looking at how the machinery worked. She created a plan for me that I can follow.
I attended a class which was good. The instructor was very motivating. I look forward to my next session.
