Better needs to do better.
I have an unjustified fine for non attendance. I did attend the class, left a few minutes early as I felt pain in my knee. My next booked class, Aqua, I was not able to do because the locker in the changing room was stuck and would not open. A member of staff tried to help, finally breaking open the locker. By this time, there was not enough time for me to change into my swimming gear for my next class. I was disappointed to miss it as I had come from the other end of town, 2 bus journeys. I should fine Better for my missed class. Better have fined me for a class I did attend. I spoke to Customer Service yesterday explaining what happened. Today the fine is still on my account and I am unable to book further classes. Now I am going back to South Reading Leisure Centre to sort this matter out. This is more waste of my time and 2 more bus journeys. I will be cancelling my membership pronto. Better you need to do better than this. I am disappointed and angry about all of this now because there has been ample time to resolve this matter.

Hi Diana,
Thank you for your review!
We're deeply sorry to hear about the difficulties you've encountered and understand why this has left you feeling disappointed and frustrated.
We apologise for the confusion regarding the non-attendance charge, especially as you attended the class and left early due to knee pain.
We're also saddened that you experienced issues with the locker, which resulted in you missing your Aqua class despite making the journey to the centre.
You have the option to call our central customer service team to review a penalty fee, as you do not need to travel to the centre to request this.
We're sorry to hear that this has now led you to cancel your Membership, and wish you all the best.
Thank you again for your feedback!
Warm Regards,
Kaisha
The staff is very kind and patient.

Well dated gym , half the showers dont work , mens changing room smells like pub toilet , extra sharp coat hangers that are a health and safety hazard , that i've mentioned to the staff six times , poor security , bikes get stolen from the front , apart from that its great !!!

Staff at South Reading are brilliant
Staff at South Reading are brilliant. I’m a relative newbie and everyone has been so welcoming and encouraging, and this reflects on the gym- community also. The gym induction by Lisa was excellent, and all the staff- from receptionists to swimming pool lifeguards- are professional, helpful and always willing to advise. Top marks.

Good customer service
I have recently joined the South Reading Leisure Centre. The membership I chose in the first place wasn't what I needed, so I called Customer Service and a lovely gentleman (sorry I didn't get his name) helped me to change my membership to a more suitable option for my needs. Thank you for the help and advuse.
At the moment, I've used only the swimming pool which was clean, water temp perfect, not too crowded and the lanes are organised for all types of swimmers.
