Only want an exchange, not a refund
I purchased rod holders and bases to fit the new boat I purchased At Bass Pro Shops. The bases fit the new boat. The rod holders do not fit the bases that came in the same order at the same time. The person that packaged the order did not reach out to me at the phone number or email that I provided to see if the order was correct.
Now Bass Pro wants me to pay for return shipping, and to insure the package. I would either have to trust Bass Pro to let me know if they actually got the return or also pay for a return signature. The Bass Pro rep stated that it was not possible to exchange an online order, I could only get a refund if I jump through the hoops. I was also told she had no way of knowing what rod holders would fit the base.
Bass Pro says they did not know that the rod holder and base in the same order were meant to be used together.

They used to be a quality outdoor store when I was growing up. Now they just sell mostly junk, low selection, no inventory, and their personal brand is garbage. There’s just no reason to visit their store. Much better shopping options elsewhere.

He was very knowledgeable; he took the time to walk me through every detail of the pontoon boat I purchased, which made me super comfortable with my purchase. Poor Return Policy
I returned 2 items to bass pro.Items received 2/15/23.Called today 2/22/23 told it would take 7 week for refund. VERY POOR RETURN POLICY.
DON'T EXPECT A REFUND IF YOU RETURN ITEMS TO BASS PRO SHOP
I ordered a pair of boots 11-23-2022 then immediately changed my order to two pair of boots. The representative said no problem, he couldn't cancel the order but I would not be charged as long as the original boots were returned. When fed ex delivered the single pair I refused the shipment and signed the FedEx tablet. Called Bass a couple weeks later and they stated that yes, they had received the boots back but it would take 2 weeks for a refund. Now 1-19-2023 I still have not received a refund and the 1st phone call they hung up. 2nd call spoke to Denise who couldn't help me but transfered my call to Jana who said refunds take 5 to 7 WEEKS after they receive the return. I want my $46.31 refund!!!
Update! Finally received my credit on January 26, 2023 more than two MONTHS later, shame on Bass Pro/Cabela's...
Bass Pro Shops didn't return my divers license
On November 27, 2022 I was shopping in the Bass Pro Port St. Lucie Florida location. I was applying for a bass pro rewards credit card. The counter assistant failed to return my drivers license back to me. At one point I asked for it back because I didn't want to forget it and the employee declined. The Bass Pro employee let me leave without it. A few days later I called the Bass Pro location to let them know that my drivers license was never given back to me. I talked to three different people at the Port St Lucie FL location and nobody was able to tell me what happened.It is the responsibility of the Bass Pro employee to return all personal identification back to the customers. And now I have a $33 cost involved in replacing my drivers license. This doesn't seem fair to me even considering that I spent over $700 on that day in one of your stores and my daughter had her picture taken with Santa. I've been shopping at Bass Pro Shops for 25 years. I would like to hear back from someone in the corporate office concerning this issue. I should not of had to spend $33 of my own money and the added inconvienence due to an employee mistake. Bass Pro shops response will determine where I'll choose to buy sporting goods products for the next 25 years.
Don't Order Online
Ordered 2 items online Nov 27th. Got shipping notification Nov 30th. Online status of order still indicated "awaiting carrier pick up" 4 days later, even though it had supposedly shipped. Online chat agent indicated the item had shipped Dec 2nd. Provided tracking numbers for shipment. Dec 7th status still had not changed. Online chat agent again insisted it had "shipped" but could still be awaiting pick up. Gave estimated delivery that probably won't happen. Both agents advised that order could not be cancelled as it had shipped, but has it? No refund can be issued until the item can be verified undeliverable. Worst shipping practices that I have ever experienced. Do yourself a favour and never order from Bass Pro online.
Update Dec 12th My order arrived today to my surprise. The website has still not updated and indicates that the package is still awaiting pick up by carrier.
Happy I got my stuff but will never order online again.

Waited in line for over 40 minutes after I received a text to come to the front desk to make my purchase. Apparently my name was skipped over although we were waiting right in front of the desk. Horrible customer service. Would not recommend
Discrimination
About a week or so ago, I went into Bass Pro Shops in Tacoma to register for a gun that I purchased online. The first strike was when everyone, except 1 person who was already helping a customer, took a 20-minute break right before it was my turn. I brushed it off and proceeded to take my turn.
I kept getting the runaround. The very first time, I was turned away because of expired car registration, stating that if I updated it then I could register for the gun. The second time, with an updated registration, they then turned me away because I didn't have my husband's military orders. The third time, equipped with updated car registration, military orders, military ID, and out of state ID, I was yet again turned away. The cashier looked at my paperwork and said it wasn't good enough and that the only way to register for a gun is to have a Washington State ID.
I made a post in a Facebook group and I've rounded up other military spouses who were able to purchase a gun at this store with the same documents that Justin told me weren't good enough.
Further, coming to the conclusion that I was treated unfairly.
BassPro Charged My Card Took my Money and then Referred me to the Manufacturer for Shipping Information
Ordered two spools of line and a Pflueger President Baitcast Reel. All items showed as in stock. I placed the order and received the line, but no reel. When I inquired about the purchase I was told the reel would ship from the manufacturer and therefor they could not update me with shipping information. I ordered from BassPro and BassPro charged my credit card and then walked away from the transaction. I didn't purchase the reel from the. manufacturer and the manufacturer didn't charge my card and take my money!
Very broken process
Very broken process. My online order on Nov 5th was confirmed and my credit card for my order was processed on Nov 15th. The 14th by the way was the date the product I ordered was checked in @ the Bass Pro Shop in Nashville. I had called the store to check on the order on the 14th and I was told that it had arrived but I needed to wait for my email to pickup my order. Today is Nov 30th still no email. Numerous phone calls, and chats for BP have occurred over the course of this month, including the process of canceling my order so I can get my money back for something I never received. I talked to corporate again today for my money to be returned to my credit card and I was told that it is in the queue and there is nothing she could do in order to help. Just need to let the paper work go through. Try back tomorrow, Dec 1st. BP's overall business practices are very bad, something I have never expected with a huge establishment. My recommendation would be for the organization to over haul their systems, processes, and learn how large organizations manage their business practices that customers are ok with. Since you have a $6.5B annual revenue I believe there should be a budget to be reviewed for keeping customers happy. BP we will not be shopping in your stores, you lost another customer today. I am still looking for my $600 refund as well.
Bad Customer Service
The employees had bad attitudes and were not very helpful I bought two pistols in Bowling Green Kentucky at Cabela’s and paid for them there and they were shipped to bass pro shops and Opry mills in Nashville. I told the employee behind the counter that I’ve already paid for my pistols and I was there to pick them up it took over three hours to finish the transaction and they acted like they had all day which I didn’t. It was ridiculous!
Awsome place for weapons and camping gear
Im not sure why there so many bad reviews this place is awesome I come here all the time. Bass pro introduced me to benchmade and in my opinion is one of the best knives money can buy its worth every penny I spent on it. I come here a lot to just browse. They have cool tents on display one time i feel alseep in one of the display tents and woke up the next morning un notice. Tru story. Anyways bass pro is fun they have just about anything a person could need for survival

I had a full shopping cart of hunting cloths, I was at checkout on my BP app an it crashed. Went back in on the app checked to see if the order went though nothing there, checked my email for a confirmation nothing there, so I reloaded my cart an checked out. 10 min later I got 2 confirmation emails for both orders, I called immediately to cancel 1 of the orders. I was told sorry it’s already processed you’ll have to wait until you get it then file for return a once we get it back then we will issue a refund!!!! Yet you can’t cancel an order until you get the email and you don’t get the email until it’s processed which per there process is already to late. It’s still on the rack yet it can’t be canceled now because there site crashed I have to take time out of my schedule to return since I live 4 hrs from the closest BP. Refuse to do business with a company with such terrible customer service. BP lost another customer today.

I Tried to return a bow that was opened out of the box and never used and the store manager (John) at bass pro shop in Atlantic city NJ says that they cannot refund or exchange a bow. There is not 1 sign posted in the store or on the internet return policy that says an open box Bow cannot be returned. The manager John, spent about 15mins on the internet trying to find why bass pro can't take a bow back, and couldn't find anything saying that they couldn't. HE WAS MAKING FALSE EXCUSES why he cant refund a bow. This A hole manager was rude. And had no knowledge of basspro shops return policy. The only statement on the return policy about bows is if they are refurbished they will not refund it. This A hole manager tried saying that an open box bow is the same category as refurbished.I asked him to explain the meaning of refurbished vs new and he couldn't answer. I drove 4 hours and spent $100 in gas knowing that I should have been able to return a bow after reading the return policy only for the manager (John) to tell me there's nothing he can do with an open box. Unprofessional,no knowledge of the return policy, and rude. Only words he knew was he can't help me/sorry/have a good day.
Friends and family will never shop at basspro again after this manager cost me and my family $100 in gas and a $400 bow that can't be returned.
If my situation was resolved I'd consider it!

Purchased some crappie jigs online and they were never shipped.
I contacted customer service and was told it was an oversight and would ship in 24 hours and sent my a 20.00 off coupon. 48 hours later, no email stating shipped so I used the coupon and purchased more than contacted customer service and was told all ordered was back ordered and they canceled both orders including goths 20.00 coupon for the trouble!!! BAD BUSINESS!! Never will buy from this company again or Cabels as they own that one also👎. Sad to see when a company gets so big that they lose thier customer care!

Whenever I go to the store, there is hardly any staff and if I do happen to find a staff member, they are never friendly or helpful. If I have to buy something, I've resorted to buying it online and picking it up in store.

Bought an item with a orange clearance sticker price for $18.97 after purchasing the item and peeling off the ‘clearance’ sticker I found out the item was cheaper then there ‘sale’ price $12.50 . Making you feel your getting a deal when there jacking up the price! Deceitful practices
