I just left the Bass Pro In Bolingbrook Illinois, and I have to say it was a very pleasant experience. I had given up on this place due to prior experiences, it seems like they used to be about the customers but now it’s all about the money. No deals to be had, even at Black Friday. I can say after today, I will return to this location!! Gordon, the manager, is the reason I will spend my money at this store. He went out of his way to help, took time to interact with my kids and truly seemed like a good person, which is a rare find these days.

Complaint : Unfair Treatment and Racial Discrimination
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the service I received at Bass Pro on 12/14/2024. My family and I had an appointment to take a photo with Santa Claus at 11:00 AM, but we were treated unfairly and discriminated against due to our Asian heritage.
Upon arrival early around 10:10AM, we found that there were already three families waiting in line ahead of us. However, when it was almost our turn, a staff member told us to come back at 11:00 AM, despite our scheduled appointment. Meanwhile, walk-in customers who without appointments were allowed to take photos before us. We felt disrespected and frustrated by this unfair treatment.
When we approached the staff member to complain, he became defensive and dismissive. His attitude was unprofessional and rude, which made us feel even more uncomfortable. It seemed that he was singling us out because of our Asian background, as the white families ahead of us did not experience any issues.
At 10:50AM, we got into the line and we eventually spoke to the manager about this issue, who apologized for the incident and offered us some gifts as compensation. However, the damage had already been done, and our experience was ruined. We left the store feeling disappointed, frustrated, and discriminated against.
As a customer, I expect to be treated fairly and respectfully, regardless of my ethnicity or background. I hope that Bass Pro will take steps to address these issues and ensure that all customers receive equal treatment. I would appreciate a response regarding the actions you will take to prevent similar incidents in the future.

***FOUR HOURS*** to wait on 11 people???
Went to the BPS at Celebration Pointe, Gainesville, F L O R I D A, and waited FOUR HOURS, in line, behind ONLY ELEVEN PEOPLE.
I would add something scathing, and crappy, but this level of exceptionally poor service, in any retail business, simply speaks for itself.

Harassed by third party company.
Went to the Chattanooga, TN store and was accosted multiple times by a vendor wanting to tell us about log cabin rentals. They did not want to take no for an answer. What company would willing let their customers be harassed by a third party company. Next I tried to browse the gun counter but either had to stand in line or make an appointment. I will never go back!!!
Disappointing purchase.
I recently purchased a Lowrance chartplotter online. The unit I received was a display model and probably the very last one they had because it is no longer listed on their website. It arrived missing hardware and with the wrong power cord. The listing did not include any information that the unit was anything other than new. The unit does turn on and seems to work but had I known it was not new, I would not have purchased. I absolutely hate returning items and will be keeping this unit but would have never thought Bass Pro Shops would have done something like this. After reading some other reviews, add my opinion that online shopping with them has a risk factor that I will avoid in the future.

Bass Pro Shops has contacted me and gave me a 15% credit since I am keeping the unit. Giving it a bump to two stars for customer service.

I always bought clothes and fishing products for my children and husband, suddenly this store pretends that I'm a reseller and they simply stop selling me online, claiming without any proof that I'm a reseller, they lost a customer, I don't think they'll be missed.
Impossible To Unsubscribe The Spam Mail…
Impossible to unsubscribe the spam mail they send to my email. Although the boots I bought at Bass Pro are the best I've ever had, their club credit card is not. Best use I found for the card was to log in the Capitol One account online and lock the card.
Poor customer service
I tried to return a fishing pole that I bought from here, but was greeted with horrible customer service! I only bought the pole three months ago. The rude grey haired lady at customer service had a bad attitude, did not want to help me, and barely spoke. If you do not like your job, then go home. If you do not like customer service, then find another job. If you do not like all colors of people, then stay home. I didn't serve my country to get treated like crap! I called customer service and got a full refund. I took this hour and a half drive to exchange a pole and to buy a fly reel, but I will take my business elsewhere due to poor customer service.

Terrible experience, ordered a zebco 33 ultralight top cast combo.clicked order and whatever for confirmation email.18 minutes later I received a order confirmation, on wrong item because of sku in system wrong. Call Immediately and was told to late 10 min window to change.I politely explained I did not receive confirmation till 18 minutes. What legitimate company would operate like this.TOLD TO LATE.THEY SENT ME BOTTOM LEVER RODS [ I ORDERED 2. I SENT BACK , never again. HORRIBLE COMPANY..!!!!!!

Great experience at Bass Pro Shop in Miami
The experience at the Miami Bass Pro Shop located at 11551 NW 12 St was excellent a few days ago.
I ordered an item through the Bass Pro Shop website, and the whole process was smooth. User friendly website and then three days later the item arrived at the store and I picked it up the same day. When I arrived at the store I scanned a QR code and waited a couple minutes until the representative called my name. In a matter of 30 minutes I was out the door.
Excellent customer service! Very impressed with the overall experience. By the way the manager and Jay were very quick and professional.

Returned an item with receipt. Paid for item with gift card and cash. Was told I can only receive a gift card for return. Does not sound right when I paid with gift card and cash. Left a message with company to find out if that is company policy.

Bass pro shops still think that GB is in the EU. Little behind the times I think. However, tried to place an order to be delivered as a present in the USA but they would not accept my payment because my payment address was in the UK???

I went to bass pro to get new blood pressure monitor. They did not have it. I was told to go somewhere else by the staff. I can see through the fake smiles and cheap talk. The fact of the matter is bass pro shops doesnt like fat people.

Goodness, I hope all of you take the time to read our story. Had we not visited a Bass Pro Shop, we would not be in this nightmare of a timeshare with Bluegreen! I want to make it clear that before coming here for this review, we did write a very detailed letter to Johnny Morris and left with no communication back - which has caused even more frustrations because not only does Bluegreen not care at all, but it shows that Bass Pro Shops doesn’t either!!
You are offered a “FREE” trip when you are approached that follows this presentation that you need to attend. DO NOT DO IT! We have been trying to cancel, and get our money back because of the lies and these promises that were mad are completely NOT true. This has caused so much stress on us, the maintenance fee continue to rise and this information was kept from us as well.
We are not even able to pay for our own daughter tuition being stuck with this scam! Had we not went to Bass Pro we would not be here. Shame on them all!

If you are not interested in getting another credit card don’t shop there. That is their main concern. Allen Tx The greeter volunteers or is volunteered for that task. Main job for that hour is to ask people to sign up for the card. Once you get past that as you shop every department it is their job to pressure you into said card. Once done shopping you hit the cashier again it’s their main job is to get you to sing up for the card if applicable get the extended warranty collect your phone number and then ask for a donation. And if they don’t they will be coached and written up. Stay away in the weekends because Beth is at the door and she lies to people but it’s ok it’s to get a card. Yes coming from an ex employee but it’s true.
