Terrible Customer Service
I took my Uncle to Bass Pro in Mesa AZ this afternoon to pickup a firearm. We checked in at the counter, never even acknowledged by any of the staff behind the counter. We were 2nd on the list and proceeded to wait 45 minutes before our name was called. The entire time we stood within 10 feet of multiple reps and were not once greeted or even noticed, even though several were just sitting at the counter. When we did finally get called, I walked away while my uncle filled out his FFL info. I walked back about 10 minutes later with my items & and was immediately and aggressively asked if I was helping my uncle fill out the form, to which I answered that I was not. My uncle looked at his watch & without his glasses could not make out the date. I told him it was the 14th, when the same aggressive rep loudly asserted that “you can’t help him!”, then called a manager over again very loudly in an attempt to embarrass us. I smirked because the rep was so rude, he once again stated very loudly that this “wasn’t a laughing matter”. I reassured him I was merely laughing at him & how EXTREMELY RUDE he was. My uncle decided to cancel the sale altogether and we walked out. I’ll never shop at this store again. They have terrible customer service and their reps seem to be dealing with a bit of small man syndrome. Terrible experience across the board. We decided to give a local small gun dealer our business and were MUCH happier doing so. Bass Pro lost our business for good. 1 star is too many.
Purchased 3 items on-line on May 12th…
Purchased 3 items on-line on May 12th 2025. Items were listed on the web site for delivery on May 14th 2025. On 5 14/25 I received 1 of the items as promised with 2 items still at the warehouse in WV. Got a email that items wouldn't be received until 5/21/25. I asked that these 2 items be cancelled. Was told could not cancel them. Problem is, I purchased all items with the intent on receiving them before leaving on vacation 3 days later. Bass Pro has many issues with about everything in the chain of on-line purchases to customer service after the sell. I stopped buying from Bass Pro because of similar problems 3 years ago. This was my first order since then and it hasn't improved in fact gotten worse. This will be my last purchase from this company and will terminate club membership today. The CEO of Bass Pro needs to listen to his customer base before chapter 7 or 11 come to pass. If you are thinking of buying anything from this company, just read the number of negative reviews. There are too many companies out there that sell similar products without all the issues. I would not recommend this company to anybody to do business with.

I purchased a new sig cross 6.5 CM . Paid 1789.25 cash with 2 boxes of shells. Before receiving the gun the sales guy says we can’t sell you the gun because it’s already in someone else’s name.
Before this they knocked the gun off in the floor on the concrete. So I wanted my money back anyway. (Which I did get)So unfortunately I didn’t get the gun. What bothers me is the person that does get this gun will not be informed about it hitting the ground. I know it’s a long shot but I hope who ever gets this gun sees this before. Rubbish web site
Rubbish web site, tried changing store and kept on telling me location turned off, (it isn’t) and can not change store. Also web feed back is rubbish as i cannot get drop down menu to work, complete waste of time.

I bought a new boat. I would was jacked around. The cost went up if I was looking for a new boat I’d run and hide from those people. Whatever they tell, you will never come past Unless you chase them, then they’ll lie to you some more worst experience I’ve ever had buying a new boat. Just attempted to purchase a pair of clearanced shoes.
It is Race Weekend, the Bristol store is very busy. Very understaffed and VERY RUDE.
The cashier walked off with the shoes because they were in the wrong size box.
Cashier rudely advised I would need to wait until the CORRECT box was located to make the purchase to keep their inventory correct.
The new Rural King store in Kingsport will GLADLY take my money.
Disappointing Experience
Disappointing Experience — Twice!
I’ve had two separate experiences now with [Company Name] where they failed to honor their own promotions after accepting my order and confirming it via email. Most recently, I used a clearly advertised coupon code online — which was accepted at checkout — only for my order to be canceled without notice.
Their justification changed midway through: first claiming it was a GDPR issue (despite me being a U.S. customer), then switching to say the promo was “in-store only,” even though that restriction was never stated when the coupon was applied.
This kind of inconsistency and lack of transparency feels misleading, especially when it happens more than once. Customer service was dismissive and offered no resolution — not even a comparable discount or apology. It’s incredibly frustrating to spend time carefully placing an order, only to have it arbitrarily canceled without accountability.
This experience has made me lose trust in the company. I genuinely hope they improve their systems and customer service, because right now, it feels like they don’t value their customers — or their own policies.

Animal Abuse
While in the Bridgeport, CT store today, I saw two people with several dogs that they were training. The male trainer was cruel and abusive!!! I went to speak to the manager who stated they are not part of BP and there was nothing she could do and said she didn’t know the name. I was going to call police but they had already left. I was told that I am not the only customer to report this. Shame on you Bass pro!

Horrible customer service and very rude people. I purchased a gun that was broken right out of the box. They told me they would send back to manufacturer the following morning. It has been 2 weeks and the manufacturer has not received it and Bass Pro can not provide me with a tracking number. They keep saying someone will call me back, but they never do.

If I could I would not give it any stars bad customer service fedex has my packages sitting at a faculty. It gets shipped everyday but then gets canceled for delivery until the next day and bass pro won't refund me. Bass pro has gone down hill they don't care about there customer and it's a shame. Every time we go to gun counter the wait is over an hour. Today we go in and the guy behind the counter told me he was putting a gun in the back and he would be right out to help me. On his way to the back another customer stopped him to ask a question and the next thing I know he comes out with a computer and paperwork for the guy that stopped him on the way to the back. Brian was AWESOME
Brian was AWESOME! I went to the Bass Pro in Gurnee IL. I wanted to buy an ice shelter for my son for Christmas. I worked with Brian who is the Fishing Dept Manager and Geo. They only had the floor model left so Brian held the shelter for me and I picked it up on Tuesday the week before Christmas. When my son set it up on Christmas he realized it was the wrong one. I contacted Brian and he remembered me and by the time I was at the store that day he had everything sorted out and put together for me for a quick easy exchange. Brian went above and beyond to fix the error and Geo was also a huge help. I will definitely go back and see them when I need more ice fishing supplies for my son.

Bass pro claims they match with 5% additional but they don’t eBay had new scope $50 cheaper and optics planet had scope $100 cheaper. I have several requested gift cards to purchase scope and had purchase from optics planet, As a time share owner wilderness resort owned Bass Pro and longtime customer I’ll shop other places once these seven gift cards are gone, anybody need a gift card company that don’t do what they say.

Bass Pro Shop is a failure
Bass Pro Shop is a failure! I ordered a new unopened scope and now this is the 3rd used marked up display scope Bass Pro has sent to me. I keep sending them back and they keep sending used marked up display scopes, I did not pay full retail to accept a used marked up, dead battery open box, fingered up, used display scope. Bass Pro is guilty of fraudulent business practices, They advertise new products and then shipped used marked up, dead battery, open box junk.
