They refused sending our order to us…
They refused sending our order to us because we used a freight forwarder since they don’t ship to our country. Worst service ever.
Great physical store but worst online…
Great physical store but worst online purchasing experience ever.
It takes them fifteen business days for them to send an item from the warehouse to my local store for pickup. The 800 phone number cannot cancel orders and sends you to the store. The store cannot cancel an order without the item in store. The whole ordeal ended up taking 1.5 months. The worst part is that the item sat in the store for 2 weeks before they called me.
Failed to give correct delivery address twice
Ordered product online and they attached incorrect delivery label. Spoke with customer service to correct it. They updated fedex and reprinted the label and got it wrong again. Customer service did nothing to help and just said the same thing over and over. I will never order from this company again. Shockingly unprofessional
Unknowingly signed us up for a credit card
An outfiter (Jason. K) approached I and my brother asking if we'd like to sign up for something on his tablet, we told him we weren't interested, he followed us and asked "why not? Its not that big adeal) then he told us that it was in store benefits and pointed back at a price tag saying that you could get random discounts on items, he started asking for my brothers informations and asked to see his id, which we both thought was weird but assumed it was for something firearm related because he pointed back in that direction when he told us that we could get random benefits and then asked him to type in how much he makes a year which we also thought was really weird, (when he presented the tablet to my brother he didnt show him any legal information nor did he say that there was any because he was telling us that what we were signing up for was a membership and not a credit card), I asked him what some of the information was needed for and he couldnt give me a straight answer and ignored my questions twice but by then he had already signed in all of the required information and didnt tell us that we werent infact signing up for a capital one credit card which is completely unacceptable
Misled Into a Credit Card Application Without Consent
I never thought I would walk into Bass Pro and leave feeling deceived, but that’s exactly what happened today. Within five minutes of entering the store, I was approached by an older, bald employee named Jason, who carried a tablet and immediately started pressuring me and my brother to “sign up.” He described it as a Bass Pro membership with rewards and discounts, never once mentioning it was actually a Capital One credit card application.
After refusing several times, I finally agreed, thinking it was a simple store membership. Jason took my ID, filled in most of the form himself, and only asked me to enter information in a few spots. I never got the chance to read the fine print or fully understand what I was signing. Only after the application was submitted did Jason casually mention that it was for a Capital One credit card, which triggered a hard credit check on my report.
This is not a small issue for me. I am 21 and have been working hard for the past 4 months to build my credit responsibly with a secured card. I have been careful to avoid unnecessary credit lines, and I take my financial health extremely seriously. Being tricked into a credit application under false pretenses is beyond unethical, it feels predatory, especially coming from an older employee who should know better.
When I confronted Jason immediately afterward, he became visibly nervous and admitted it was a credit card application but acted unsure about whether it involved a hard inquiry. It did. That lack of honesty and transparency is unacceptable.
I spoke with the store manager, who listened respectfully, agreed that what happened was wrong, and promised retraining. I truly appreciate his professionalism. But Jason’s actions cannot be brushed off as a simple mistake. He used misleading tactics that could damage my financial future.
To Bass Pro Corporate: Customers should never be misled into applying for a credit card under the guise of a store membership. This needs serious review, accountability, and clear safeguards so no other customer experiences what I went through.
I walked into Bass Pro expecting honesty and respect. Instead, I walked out with a hard inquiry on my credit report and a potential credit card I never wanted. That is not the Bass Pro experience anyone deserves.
I ordered 1 hat and FedEx could not…
I ordered 1 hat and FedEx could not find my address. Bass would not authorize for me to pick up at a nearby FedEx location. All of this for 1 hat. I will buy in the store for now on. They could not do anything but refund my money!
There web site is not working and they dont even know …
Tried to purchase a ATV thru there website 10,000 but there web site is so screwed up was on it for 2 hrs trying to get one but going to honda dealershio tomm i quess who ever is in charge is stupid because if it did it to me it has done it to allot of people I am sure they have lost thousands of dollars dont waste your time with bass pro shop. I ordered 9 hats online for a company…
I ordered 9 hats online for a company event and the order was cancelled for no reason!!!! The payment went through obviously an no email was sent to let me know that the order was cancelled!!!! HORRIBLE online experience. I was expecting a lot more from Bass Pro Shop!!!! My online review is a ZERO!!
No more Bass Pro shop
I bought a $300 crossbow it is the fiery hd killer instinct. It is the biggest pile of garbage I have ever thrown money away on. I tried to return it but they said once it's been fired you can not return. So I tried to do a review on it and they blocked that too. So they're knowingly selling a bunch of garbage and ripping people off.
If I had a choice to give them 0 stars…
If I had a choice to give them 0 stars I would. Called the store to see if they had a type of gun I wanted and they told me yes and to just come in. I came in waiting for someone to acknowledge me or help me for 10 min no body came. I went to the check out register and asked if they had a sign in sheet they said no, and that they won’t be able to help me due to being past the cutoff time. They have horrible customer service here, they don’t acknowledge customers as they walk up and told me to come back the next day. They should have a sign in sheet so your not standing there waiting and then other people just come up cutting you in line. They need to have a more direct system for people looking to purchase guns. I will not be shopping there ever again. They just lost a good cutomer!
Bass Pro Shop and Plano 7771 tackle box
First I am an avid fisherman/person and Bass Pro Shop is one of my favorite stores. So this is a hard review to write.
I purchase a Plano 7771 tackle box less than a year ago. Recently, I noticed that the top (plastic cover) started to warp. Now it won't close at all and this makes the top shelf unusable because everything in the top will fall out when accessing the shelf below.
I thought no problem I'll go to Bass Pro Shop and they will stand behind there items that they sell. Nope, I was told that there is a 60 day return policy (by Plano) and that Bass Pro Shop would do nothing in either return or replace. The cost of the tackle box was approximately $100. The salesperson said that she understood that there should be some compensation but not from BPS. Can someone explain to me why a tackle box, that spends days in the sun should warp.
BTW I’m talking about the store in Brandon Fl.
Concord Bass Pro Calls Cops on Customer
Concord, NC location called the cops on me.
Be wary and extremely cautious at this location. They’ll call the cops on you. Not mall security. The police. City of Concord police.
The Hilton Vacation sales tactics have become so extreme they’ll call the cops if you complaintoo much. Seriously. Literally. Still in disbelief over today’s events. (The vacation sales used to be called Bluegreen Vacation Resorts, always be wary when a company changes names. Look up how many stories online of customers duped by these scams and not able to redeem before that $299 steal of a deal vacation expires.)
I could possibly just forget the abysmal customer service at every Bass Pro I have visited, including the Missouri flagship location, in the last 7 to 8 years. Especially more so since the Cabelas acquisition.
If you’re buying a boat or vacation they have time and smiles for you. Try getting help finding a $5 lure though , you’ll be on your own. Speak up and let them know you don’t appreciate the Hilton people’s lies and tactics and they’ll send a dude in a uniform carrying a gun to come talk to you. He thought they were stupid too.
Wrong item shipped
Bought an Airliner Fishing Rod Case, sent me the wrong item and was promised to have the correct item delivered before my flight. The company failed to meet expectations and it's promise to deliver. I will NEVER order from Bass Pro Shop, ever again.
A thanks to the Tracker crew at the Roseville CA. store.
Frist of all we bought a pontoon boat from the Roeville store and the experience fantastic. But after the summer we removed the battery for the winter. As we reinstalled the battery we shorted the negative to the positive. after talking to Brian Hottell he had me talk to Jaerry Tuker the head mechanic. they had the parts that we needed. after returning a hundred mile to the cabin we needed to talk to Brian and he walked me through it. After all there help we where back on lake. This well make me have them do all the work on the boat.
Garbage company
Don't ever order from this garbage company online. They have tried to hit my credit card 5 different times for the same purchase. Ive been fighting for a week to stop this.. They are a trash company NEVER BUY FROM THEM ONLINE.
We shop Basspro often
We shop Basspro often. The last couple of times we went we checked out with a cashier named Kyla. I must say she's the nicest and most outgoing person that we have met. She's such a pleasure. If you shop at Basspro in Myrtle Beach, SC look for her, she radiates southern charm.
What a nightmare I bought a bass…
What a nightmare I bought a bass tracker classic xl 2024 in April 2024 on the 2nd WHAT A Piece OF S@#$ IV had it 14 months the price was 16,999.00$ I never got to see the boat until I paid it in full I got to see a show room boat but not the one I was buying when I picked it up on the 3rd I took it to the lake and ran it for a couple of hours, when I got back to the ramp and on the trailer I pulled the stern plug and waited it was full of water on the 4th I contacted bass pro Gainesville Florida and was told to bring it in so I drove the 3 1/2 hour trip from Georgia to gainesville florida I had to leave the boat
When I got a call I was told that they ran the motor in a barrel but found no leaks what? How do you find a leak in the hull by running the boat in a barrel stupid job. I went and got my boat
My wife and I took the boat to West Georgia north of Tallahassee Florida for a relaxing 3 day fishing trip I put the boat in the lake are lunch and got in the boat and went fishing this lake is huge I went across the lake and was fishing in 4 feet of water nothing biting so I went east to the other end of the lake all was fine I found a bunch of boats fishing so I found me a spot anchored and started fishing after about 3 hours I got tired and hot so I went out to the chanel and headed back to the camp grounds about 5 minutes I got a warning horny so I turned the boat off trimmed the motor and found nothing clogging the intake but vessel view said it was hot, I called bass pro where I bought this junk and was told to use the troll motor to go 5 mile with it it's only a 12 edge it ran out of battery charge after about an hour I tried to start it but the warning kept beeping . I flagged down another boat to give me a tow and finally got back to the cam and we left wit two days not used more worthless money spent
I've called customer service and no one wants to deal with a complaint except say I'm sorry about all your trouble
I'm don't with bass pro they get your money and forget about you
DONT BUY ANY THING FROM BASS PRO THEY ARE OVER PRICED GIVE YOU A DELIVERY DATE AND SEND OUT THAT Purchase Economy NO TELLING WHEN YOUR GOING TO GET YOUR STUFF
STAY AWAY YOULL GET SCAMMED
Me and my fiancé went into the Bass Pro…
Me and my fiancé went into the Bass Pro shop in Manteca to try and purchase a bass boat. I asked a gentleman there what it takes to try and get a loan he said they could run my name through a couple loan companies and I said no try one and see what the outcome is unfortunately they have ran my name 13 times And now my credit score is shit. They didn’t give me back my $500 deposit that I left that I was supposed to be back in 14 days and I never received it so just be warned if you go to Bass Pro shop don’t believe nothing. They say they lie they’re gonna run your name more than once
Avoid at all costs !
If you value your time, honesty, and proper service - or if you’re a Green Card holder - I strongly recommend you avoid the firearms department at Bass Pro Shop. My recent experience was a textbook case of poor training, outdated policies, staff dishonesty, and a total disregard for customers.
First visit:
I went to purchase a firearm, bringing my driver’s license and concealed carry permit—both legally sufficient under federal law. I also had a digital copy of my Green Card on my phone, as every other gun shop has always accepted. However, the Bass Pro Shop gun counter employee insisted I physically present my Green Card. He refused to even look at the digital copy, claiming this was “company policy.” He would not budge, forcing me to drive home and back, wasting over 2 hours of my time.
After the fact:
The store manager later admitted by phone that this was actually an old policy. The employee was wrong, and I should not have been required to present my Green Card physically. His only “remedy” was to say it would be addressed in training. No apology, no compensation for my wasted time, no accountability. It felt like the employee knew the current rules and simply didn’t care, preferring to invent obstacles rather than help a customer. Frankly, this also borders on illegal behavior, since federal law does not require a Green Card to be physically shown if you already have your state ID and concealed permit.
Second visit:
Once my background check cleared, I returned to the shop to pick up my firearm. I found a line of people waiting to buy guns and do paperwork. Despite all my paperwork being completed, I was told I’d need to wait at least 30 minutes for a simple pickup. I asked, very politely, if a manager could help speed things up, since my transaction was ready. After a wait, a manager finally emerged, glanced at the line, and told me I would have to wait like everyone else - despite not being busy. I later learned they should have offered me the option to schedule a pickup appointment for situations like mine, but they never mentioned it.
When I expressed my frustration and asked for a refund instead, the gun desk staff member agreed instantly, showing zero interest in resolving the issue or keeping my business. They then took more time to process my refund than it would have taken to just hand me my purchase. This “customer service” is the definition of rigid, bureaucratic, and indifferent.
Aftermath:
I was then shocked to learn, during the manager’s follow-up call, that staff had also lied to him about the events. He told me the employee who issued my refund was “helping a customer” at the time, which simply wasn’t true. The manager himself doubted my word, but hadn’t even reviewed security video—showing little interest in getting to the truth. No sincere apology, no commercial gesture, just a repeated assurance that “we’ll use this for training.” That’s a joke.
Conclusion:
Bass Pro Shop’s gun counter operates on outdated, sometimes illegal policies, wastes your time, and then gaslights both you and their own management. If you’re not a U.S. citizen, be ready for extra hurdles. If you are, good luck, because these employees invent rules, then lie about it, and treat customers like a nuisance. There are much better, more respectful FFLs with larger selections and honest staff. Save yourself time, stress, and disappointment - avoid this shop at all costs.
Cancels online orders everytime
I tried buying $5.99 hats that keep on getting cancelled for reasons they do not want to disclose. They send marketing emails nonstop but never honor online orders.
