I really regret using this company
I really regret using this company. Nov 28, 2025, I purchased a Samsung microwave listed as in stock. December 1st, Appliance Central emailed to say it was not in stock & they would order it now. Dec 7th, I followed up, having heard nothing. No reply, but it arrived a few days later. Some features on the door did not work out of the box. We did a few things to troubleshoot, as one of the faults was intermittent, but it got steadily worse & more frequent, requiring a full powering down of the microwave to get the door to work. December 18th, I contacted Samsung online, who ran some tests & confirmed it was faulty. They said I could take it to their service centre or get a replacement from the retailer. I chose the latter. I contacted Appliance Central the next day & they insisted I send screenshots of my online chat with Samsung. Did so, but there was no reply for over 24 hours. Called again & they said that because I was in Melbourne, they’d need to organise a courier to pick it up. No problem, I said. Then the guy started complaining that it was a hassle as they were in Sydney. Not my problem. He said a courier would contact us the next day. They didn’t. Dec 22, I got an email from them saying they were contacting Samsung to work it out. Heard nothing until January 8, when Appliance Central emailed saying Samsung had told them I now had to bring it in to them to assess… which they’d specifically said I didn’t have to do. 52-minute round trip for me to get Samsung to confirm it is faulty for a second time, then another 52-minute round trip to pick it up a few days later. All so that Appliance Central could avoid paying a courier to pick up their faulty product as promised. Delays of well over a month! I emailed Appliance Central asking what they would do to compensate me for so many delays & the inconvenience & expense of having to drive over 100 minutes to get it repaired. What a surprise - no response! What a joke of a business. Avoid them!!
