I have been extremely happy until it sent cards to people I did not intend
I have been extremely happy with a subscriptions for years, today I’m ready to cancel. Instead of letting me copy a link for texting, etc a card was sent to a list of people I did not want to have the card. There was no previous information explaining this to me.

REALLY disappointed in the subscription process. Seems a bit deceptive how they make the option to unsubscribe obscure. I would not recommend them as there are many other reputable companies offering the same service and a significantly better customer experience.
Costly mistake of a service
I signed up for a free trial as was clearly advertised on their website at the time. When a lot of the people I tried sending a card too never received it, I stopped the trial. I was charged for the whole year and they refused to refund. Beware this company practices.

Couldn’t be more pleased!
I’ve been a customer for almost a year now. There is no way the annual subscription cost could ever pay for all the joy, smiles, laughs & happiness I have shared continuously with family & friends. The selection continues to grow & astound me - will definitely renew next year!!!
Their site doesn't work at all!
I have been a continuous paid member of their site since 2017 and have sent countless greetings and gift cards to my recipients. As of two days ago, their site no longer works, at all!
I attempted to send a Birthday e-card to my brother-in-law on Saturday, 8-12-2023, but it would not allow me to. It kept asking me to sign-in even though I was already signed in. It just brought up an almost blank page every time I tried until I just gave up and went elsewhere.
The same thing happened just now! I was attempting to send a 52 year Anniversary e-card to my sister and the same thing happens. I can't send it!
Thinking it might be a cookie problem, I went into Chrome and added their site to allow every cookie they use along with third party cookies, and it still brings up the "do you accept cookies on our site" banner on the bottom of every page with every page reload!
I went into the area where it allows you to adjust your cookie settings in your account and turned on every option. Then, cleared the site from my browser history and reloaded it only to again see the "accept cookie" banner on the bottom of the page. After going back into the cookie preferences area, I saw that all of my previous settings were again turned off!
These are not the first two times this has happened. It happens periodically and it is extremely frustrating when you need to get an e-card out in a hurry and it won't work, despite them charging me money every year, the amount of which they do not provide!
I am fed up with this happening and will revert back to buying cards individually and sending them snail-mail.
I will be cancelling my account as soon as I can, although, they stop you from doing even that unless you are within two months of your payment date. Total crap! :(
This is a scam
This is a scam. You sign up for a free membership, but they ask for credit card info. So you do it, and then they immediately charge you $7. Then, when you cancel your membership, it doesn’t “register” and they keep charging you $7 until you tell them that they are scamming you.

I’d give this dead beat company 10 zeros if I could. BEWARE! Don’t sign up for a membership with this company. I cancelled 2 months ago and sent 2 emails 2 weeks apart with no response.
They tried to charge my card again today. I had taken my card off of every payment venue a week before, because I had a feeling they were dishonest to try and charge my card again, so they were unsuccessful.
I called them to speak to a live agent. Got a RUDE, then condescending lady (Kayla) who was asking my name, zip, address, email and card number. I gave everything but my card number….I flat refused to give her that! She said she couldn’t find my account. Remember, they tried to charge me again today. She kept asking over and over at least 4 times the same info. Wanting spelling of my name each time. I asked for a Supervisor, and she put me on hold for nearly 15 minutes, and never came back. I contacted my bank, and banned them from charging me again in any venue. If they try to charge me again, fraud charges will be filed. I’ll never buy another American Greeting card or merchandise ever again! Their cards are glitchy, and the site is NOT user friendly. Most the cards are tripe!
I expected more from my $85/year. They can take their “Tender Thoughts” and shove it up their ass!

American Greetings is okay, however, you can have a positive experience as long as you log out after each card you send. DO NOT send more than one card at a time especially the smash-ups. You have to keep logging out after each card or their system will mess it up come delivery day.

I tried their so-called "free" 7-day trial over Valentine's Day this year (2023) and decided to cancel my trial two days later. I could not do that on their website in any way, shape, or form!!! On their website, under MANAGE MY SUBSCRIPTIONS page, it said Click on Button to stop your trial. There was NO button. Ever. It was a scam and they charged me $6.99 on my credit card anyway. Upon contacting customer service, I was argued with, they were rude to me and one even hung up on me. They NEVER listened to my issue and just kept saying they could not help me and that my charge was valid. OMG--what a messed-up company!!! Do not give American Greetings.com your credit card info!!!

I tried without success several times to send my friend a birthday card today. I kept getting this error message "invalid json sting." So I called the customer service number, after going back and forth, she put me on hold only to return to say there was a broader issue. Hello!!!. Then she suggested that I go to the browser to send the card. I told her I wanted to cancel the account. She said she could cancel it, and it would not automatically renew. I asked if I would receive a refund since the issue was not my fault. She said, "There's no refund after thirsty days." I said I was going to contact the BBB because I felt they were taking my money for a product I couldn't use. She asked if I could hold again. When she returned, she said she had issued a refund and it would take 3-5 business days for it to appear on my card. Their cards are awesome, but the app is useless when it's not available when you need it.

Terrible product & No service!
What a terrible product. You can't edit, i.e., change margins or spacing. I called customer service and got a message that "due to unforeseen circumstances, we are closed". Please call back during normal business hours (I made the call during those hours).
Account missing, can't log-in!
I had a 1-year subscription and everything worked great until 6 months in, right at Christmas time, I could not log in starting December 17. And on December 22, I quit trying. The phones did not work nor help from emailing them. Lost all my contacts and cards. If I cant't get a partial refund, I'll file a complaint with the BBB.
Didn't Want My Gift Card
I tried several times and many minutes to "Start My Free Trial" and every time there was a problem with the payment. I checked the balance on my card and there were sufficient funds to cover the automatic billing for a year, so I don't know what the problem was. Fine by me if they don't want my money, I'll spend it elsewhere.
