I’ve had a very frustrating experience with Altitude Sports. They sent me the wrong item, and instead of taking responsibility or offering a meaningful solution, they simply told me the correct item was out of stock. That was it—no real attempt to rectify the mistake they made.

After the inconvenience, wasted time, and back-and-forth communication, the only compensation offered was $25 in expirable store credits. That doesn’t come close to addressing the frustration of receiving the wrong product in the first place.

To make things worse, they require the item to be returned and received before issuing a refund, even though the error was entirely theirs. I had to escalate the situation myself and will be disputing the charge with my credit card company.

Overall, I felt dismissed and unsupported as a customer. If this is how Altitude Sports handles their own shipping mistakes, I can’t see myself ordering from them again. Very disappointing experience.

Customer support is always so helpful at Altitude-Sports. I wish they still had storefronts, but shopping on line with them is always a positive experience. The people who work there are always so helpful and kind and friendly.

This is my go-to place for anything outdoors. They make buying their memberships 100% worth while. Customer service has always been 2nd to none and they have always helped me to resolve my issue. Even when I had passed the period where Altitude Sports was responsible for the product, they helped me to initiate a warranty claim with the manufacturer. Customer Service is empowered to make decisions that make sense - I was past the 15 day period for Price Adjuistments but they simply credited the difference between what I paid and what the price dropped to so everybody won instead of having me buy the exact same item and process a return at their cost. 100% recommend.

Ordered some heated socks that stopped working. Sent the socks back on warranty as they had a kinked wire. They won’t actually send you a replacement though, they give you credit so you can ‘buy’ them again. the new socks were still defective, so I sent the batteries back on warranty.
I was first issued one singular replacement battery, which I returned, and I’ve now been given far less than retail value of the batteries in store credit, and have been told to pay entirely out of pocket. I was assured my store credit wouldn’t expire… great

I work in the snowsports industry, I get things happen, but these were an expensive investment, that’s just been a sh!t sh0w since I got them. I’ve barely used them in 2 whole years because of this fiasco that’s clearly not getting resolved anytime soon…

Altitude has exceeded my expectations with each purchase I make. Very reasonable pricing, quick shipping and extremely high quality customer service when I’ve had questions (price matching and returning an item for another item - it was my fault, I bough the incorrect item and they were so helpful in helping process this return). The membership is worth its weight in gold. Free shipping for many items that buying directly from the brand company in Canada would have shipping costs and, often, those brands not have many sales but Altitude does! Sale or note, Altitude is my first stop for shopping for our entire family! They have it all and are continuously reliable in every regard.

J’ai longtemps été une cliente fidèle d’Altitude Sports. Il y a quelques années, c’était réellement agréable de faire affaire avec eux : les commandes arrivaient dans les délais, le service était efficace et, lorsque les articles étaient affichés comme disponibles, on pouvait avoir confiance qu’on allait les recevoir.
Malheureusement, ce n’est plus du tout le cas aujourd’hui.
Après plusieurs mauvaises expériences, la dernière en date m’a convaincue d’écrire cet avis. J’ai commandé un ensemble de vélo assez dispendieux (haut et bas). Ils m’ont livré le haut, mais pas le bas. J’ai patienté quelques jours de plus que le délai prévu avant de les contacter. Et là, ça s’est compliqué.
Il est extrêmement difficile de les joindre. J’ai opté pour leur service de messagerie texte : on m’a répondu plusieurs heures plus tard, seulement après que j’aie exprimé ma frustration devant leur manque de suivi. J’ai demandé l’annulation complète de ma commande. J’ai déjà retourné le haut reçu, mais il n’a toujours pas été traité. Quant au bas du maillot — jamais reçu — je demande simplement un remboursement.
On m’a répondu qu’ils doivent d’abord contacter leur fournisseur externe avant de pouvoir me confirmer l’annulation. Honnêtement, ce n’est pas acceptable. C’est avec Altitude Sports que j’ai fait affaire, pas avec leur fournisseur. Ce n’est pas au client d’assumer leur gestion interne. Ils n’ont pas respecté leurs délais ni leur engagement de livraison ; la moindre des choses serait d’assumer leur responsabilité et de rembourser rapidement.
Bref, le service s’est énormément détérioré, les commandes sont incomplètes, les suivis sont difficiles, et le client doit constamment courir après ses réponses. C’est vraiment dommage, car ce n’était pas du tout comme ça auparavant.

Hi, I submitted a warranty claim. The girl said there’s no guarantees. I have been shopping with Altitude Sports for years and had no problem so far and hope I don’t run into one. I bought this nice Northface jacket on November 3 and there’s a hole in it. I took it to a trailer and he said it was made of a cheap plastic on the outside and you wouldn’t have a colour to match it. I took some pictures of the jacket and sent it to Altitude Sports. Hopefully they fix the problem if they do I will continue to be a customer.
