From start to finish.
Our coach driver Shawn was amazing he was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited on our day trips out,
The Cumberland hotel where we stayed was lovely, our room was spotless thanks to the fantastic housekeeping team.
The reception staff were very helpful and lovely ladies.
The food was outstanding, thank you Chef.
The waiting staff were always very helpful thank you.
The bar staff were very polite.
Scarborough is a beautiful place to visit.
Now the not so nice bits. The manager is obnoxious/ rude/ and very unhelpful, this is not just my opinion, several other guests are of the same opinion, and said they would not return to this hotel again because of the manager. whether they will write a review as promised or not remains to be seen. This is not my 1st bad review about some managers in Alpha hotels, what a shame some managers has too spoil it for the very guests who pays their wages.
Overall our experience was a good one, except the above chapter.

We never had a bad coach driver while with alfa special mention to lee Richard tony Brian Jed keith Dan and to the rest of pick up drivers we had over the years i would like to mention them they have a special place in my heart these main coach drivers need mentioning because they have gone out their way to help they been polite and also always asked myself and my partner and orher passengers if evetything as been ok. Some of the feeder coach drivers though dont speak and dont tell their name but they are helpful and friendly. We had so much fun with the main drivers all been really lovely and professional and over the last few years travelling with alfa had really really lovely drivers ao helpful and professional. Hope to see them again on one of the holidays. I would like mention we not seen Brian since 2023 few years now he was fab to start to finish or any others its always different drivers

Just got back from a holiday to Tenby. We went on 26/9/26. Got picked up to go to Bowburn interchange at the exact time as was on our tickets. We were picked up by a M&D coach with driver called Matt. From Bowburn we headed to our destination. Matt was a brilliant driver and very helpful and friendly. We had a couple of stops on the way down and arrived about 6. We were welcomed by a member of staff from the hotel. We all got our key card for our rooms and after taking a couple of wrong turns on the stairs we found our bedroom. The room had a fantastic view over the harbour and beach. Only downside was the bathroom was a scruffy and the shower was very small we struggled to get a good shower. We made the way to the restaurant where we were shown to our tables. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful and served us quickly. Our waiter was called Matthew and was brilliant brought our meals in a couple of minutes with a smile and chatted to all of us at breakfast and the evening meals. He was serving quite a few tables and was a really good waiters. He was one of the best waiters we have had on all the holidays we have had with Alfa. He is a credit to the company and everyone where we were sitting thought the same. Just a shame we didn't see on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning before we left to come home. The reception staff would help with any questions anyone had. Only hiccup was to go to St. David's on a Sunday when we went to see the Cathedral was closed for a few hours to have different services and we couldn't go in and most of the shops were closed as well. All in all though we had a lovely time and everyone on the coach were friendly and again Matt was a great driver.

1 week IOM, Hydro hotel a bit run down but staff pleasant, great excursions, Martin the coach driver was great , safe driver and very engaging .

Absolutely Amazing from start to finish.
We booked a self drive with Alfa holidays and got a great deal with breakfast and dinner included.

The Queens hotel is stunning i just loved the whole building felt very grand.
The bar and entertainment room were my favourite and the staircases with the stained glass windows wow !
All the staff in the hotel are super friendly and made us feel welcome.
The dining room is beautiful and the meals delicious and such a choice.
Our waitress Paula looked after us extremely well and she was very polite and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
The breakfast and meals we had were all hot and were delicious so a big thank you to the chef and all the dining room staff who work so hard.
Our room was very nice and clean so thank you to all the chambermaids too who do such a great job.
we could see the sea from our window too which was great
Whenever you enter the hotel and through the corridors there is a beautiful smell so nice I have never noticed that in other hotels.

The hotel was so quiet overnight you couldn’t hear a pin drop so had a great nights sleep.
We enjoyed the entertainment and visited the bar on a number of occasions and such friendly staff.
My husband had the house Gin and I had a hot chocolate made just how I like it was the best ever.
We were sad to go home but happy that we will be coming back next year.
Thank you to each and every one of you for making our stay memorable.

Had a fantastic time at the Eliot celebrating my 50th birthday. Coach driver Trevor was brilliant. The room was lovely. Food great. Entertainment a bit dated. Staff very helpful. Hotel was welcoming. Thanks for another great holiday.

Went selfdrive , on arrival greeted by friendly and helpful staff.Good choice on the menus and always nice and hot.Kept the same table all week and was served by David who was cheerful, friendly and nothing too much trouble.Evening entertainment was good but could do with some up to date music.Our drinks were served by Owen who we had a good laugh with, always friendly and polite, one of the best holidays made by the people.

Well organised. Lovely hotel with great food and obliging staff. Friendly driver informative but not intrusive.

Reception staff were great room was good food portions were a bit small but enjoyable some restaurant staff were not good for getting orders wrong..overhall it was excetting 8 day

The 1 thing that made the holiday excellent was the André Rieu concert

It's was a lovely holiday in torquay where the hotel was situated was perfect to explore the area, I also enjoyed the excursions the staff at the Hotel was so helpful and welcoming and so was JIm the coach driver, the only thing I was disappointed with was the nine hour journey to and from the Devon.

We had a great holiday in criccieth and the surrounding towns we went to, in the hands of Mike our driver who made sure we got to our destinations safely, hotel was great, friendly staff and plenty to eat. Highly recommended.

We've had 2 holidays in Alfa hotels this year. 1st we were in the The Regina hotel in Torquay and the 2nd on the Isle of Wight at The Bayshore hotel. Both hotels were comfortable, clean, well run, the staff were friendly and helpful. As for the rooms they were en suite with great showers. The food on the menu's catered for most dietary needs and tastes. The food was well cooked,brought to the table hot by pleasant staff. The bar prices were reasonable, and there were plenty of rooms to sit or relax in. The entertainment room had Bingo and live music. We will definitely be booking an Alfa holiday with our local Greenline coach company whose drivers are excellent too.

Exceptional Value with three excursions included amazing.
Fabulous holiday from beginning to end. The coach driver Tony Parnham looked after all passengers of all ages. The staff and manager at the Elliot hotel were excellent and the food was good, always a few choices to satisfy anyone. Will travel with them again.

From pickup to arriving at hotel went smoothly, our first driver to Bournemouth Shaun, was very good, on one trip we had a wheel problem, he rang his office and everything was arranged for another coach to take us onwards. Our second driver Paul was also very good, and got us home on time. Hotel staff and food very good.

First time I've travelled with her. What a lovely, kind, considerate and helpful lady. Fab sense of humour too. She was a true credit to Alfa holidays. Andy, maintenance, was very understanding and helpful when I was unwell, providing assistance. Also Taylor, receptionist. Carole my waitress, Rochelle in dining room and Stephen on the bar were very lovely and helped me a lot. Days out were great. Entertainment at hotel exceptional. Journey to & from hotel very good. Our first trip with Alpha .Have to say ,it was fantastic from start to finish .So well organised .Our driver Tony was great and very knowledgeable with facts about our day trips which we really enjoyed .Stayed at the Elliot Hotel .Staff were amazing .Nothing too much trouble for them .Food was amazing .Plenty of choice plus a chef special everyday .Rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable.Entertainment every night was good too .Thanks so much Alpha .Would definitely choose you again in the future .Keep up the great work .
