Well Polished please look further into your Sheffield franchise, as I am an another unsatisfied customer and, from the other unfavourable reviews, I can see we are growing!
Annie provides an incredibly chaotic service with very poor communication between everyone involved. Initially, this was not the case! Before I paid the £95(!) admin fee, Annie was very on it and I was confident I made the right choice. Sadly, this was not the case. Also, I have a chronic illness and this was supposed to ease the stress of keeping my house clean.
I have only had a deep clean and one regular clean, and I will not be continuing with the service. I have yet to receive a confirmation of my cancellation, let alone an apology for the poor service, or hell, a refund of the £95 I paid.
A summary of the two cleans:
Deep clean - my cleaner texted me the night before to ask if I had any pets and if I did, to remove them on the day. I don't and was surprised, as you'd think this would have been something Annie would have told her already, when we had the long initial phone call about what I was looking for and what I needed. On the day of the deep clean, early on a Saturday, the cleaner rang me at least 5 times to say she was lost and her GPS was leading her in different places. She told me my cleaning appointment would be over by the time she found my house. I was already stressed and the clean had not even started. When she finally arrived (over 30 mins late), she told me she couldn't park in the space available in the parking lot outside my apartment, so I was forced to look for spaces for her while she stood by her car and smoked. Eventually, my neighbour said she could park outside of his garage. When I told her the news, she asked if she finish her cigarette. She was 45 mins into her what should have been her cleaning time by this point. I told her I was very uncomfortable with cigarette smoke (I am not a smoker). When she finally made it through my door, she came with a huge bag of cleaning products. I had told Annie I wanted the cleaners to use my products, as I am very sensitive to smells and chemicals. The cleaner said Annie had told her to "bring everything". By this point, I was exhausted with the whole ordeal and just wanted her done and out. So I accepted her products and let her get on with it. Next thing I know, she had somehow unscrewed the hot water tap in the bathroom and couldn't get it shut off. She also told me she needed to be paid in cash, as a transfer would be inconvenient for her. Again, I had told Annie that I am chronically ill and would need to pay by transfer only. This (like many other things) was not communicated to the cleaner. I was so uncomfortable in my house I went to find a cash point, despite the pain in my body. It took me some time and effort but I managed to find an ATM and withdrew the amount Annie had quoted me originally for the clean. This clean was supposed to be 4 hours long, but she ended it 15 mins early. I was just looking forward for her to leave, so almost didn't mind. Final straw of that day was her being annoyed about the amount I paid her (in the cash she had demanded). Apparently Annie had told her a different sum. She asked me how much per hour was she supposed to get and how many hours she was scheduled for. Shouldn't she have been told any of this to begin with? When she left the chemicals used in the bathroom made me cough the rest of the day. I also had to clean up a bit after her, as she left the bedroom, all the hoovering and mopping till the very end, and rushed it all.
I decided maybe I had a bad cleaner on an off day and asked to be allocated to somebody else. I had to chase Annie for this, as she didn't respond for over a week.
Regular clean - before the clean happened, the cleaner asked to come early. This was slightly annoying, but not as annoying as them being late. I told her I preferred to stick to the time we had scheduled. She was still a bit early. Also, instead of the one cleaner I had booked, there were two outside my door. Apparently, Annie told them I needed two. They offered for them both to clean for an hour, instead of the two that were booked. I knew by this point that I would not be continuing this service, so just ushered them in, as I was in the middle of my work day. They cleaned for 45 mins, in a rushed way. They were both absolutely lovely though, so I felt bad for them more than anything. I think if the clean had been the original 2 hours, it would have been good. I had to again clean up after them when they left.
Based on what the other reviews said, I am fully expecting to continue to get charged this useless admin fee for at least another month or two. Like I said, Annie has not acknowledged my message at all. Avoid Well Polished in Sheffield!

I was a customer of Well Polished for around three months. While I liked the individual cleaners, the agency itself is very disorganised and seems to lack control over its operations.
Appointments were unreliable—cleaners frequently changed their scheduled times, and on several occasions didn’t attend at all due to apparent disputes with the agency over pay.
One particular incident stood out: I was assured the issue had been resolved and that the cleaner would attend, but they still didn’t show up. Even more concerning, the agency was unaware of the missed appointment, and I had to chase the issue myself despite having already raised it earlier that same day.
To make matters worse, the company took a direct debit payment for a week where no service was provided. I requested a refund, was told it would be investigated, and since then they have failed to respond. My calls and messages have also been ignored.
Overall, while the cleaners themselves were good, the agency’s lack of organisation, communication, and accountability makes this a service I would not recommend.
Well polished supplied us with Monica for almost a year. Monica was great, always did a superb job and was a pleasure to have in the house. I would definitely recommend Monica and Well Polished.

I was with Well Polished for nearly 2 years and highly recommend them. I had Juliet as my cleaner. Juliet was a great and hard working cleaner and a lovely lady. So easy to get on with.
I also must mention the boss Paula who also is a very nice lady, very easy going and very polite.
If I need a cleaner in the future, I will not hesutare to use Well polished.

EXCELLENT SERVICE
I needed a house clean for the completion date of the sale of my property (2 bed bungalow in West Horndon.) Are we only agreed the completion date just before the Easter bank holiday I had very little notice to find a cleaner and Lindsey from Well Polished was the only cleaning company who got back to me (out of 8 phone calls/web enquiries!!)
Lindsey couldn't get any of her staff to cover our visit so SHE CAME HERSELF (with her aunt) and did an excellent job vacuuming the house, cleaning floors, windows and skirting boards.

Engaged a regular cleaning service. Smooth to set up and great quality work. Incredibly professional and proactive if changes to schedules were requested or unpredicted and continued to provide help and advice after service was stopped (no fault of Well Polished). Highly recommended.

Please please please avoid Well Polished at all costs.
We signed up to fortnightly cleans with Well Polished, based on the understanding we would be assigned own our cleaner for the duration of our service.
Minutes before our first clean we received messages from an unknown person, who turned out to be our replacement cleaner. For the weeks that followed we were repeatedly told that different cleaners would attend for our cleans, some of which did not turn up and give any particular reason why.
After two back to back last minute cancellations we choose to terminate our service. We then spent the next two months, persistently chasing Well Polished for a full refund of our final month's service fees. They were clearly stalling / avoiding in the hope we would stop chasing.
Overall, whether this is just the Sheffield branch or the entire business, we found them to be incredibly unorganised, poor communicators and disinterested in providing anything close to a cleaning service.

From the outset a friendly, professional approach from the lovely Clare, who organised the whole process for us efficiently and with responsiveness to our needs. Then we had Jade, the dream cleaner. Proactive, effective cleaning with attention to detail and obvious care to leave the place beautiful. And on top of that a lovely person, too. ☺️

I contacted Well Polished about having a deep clean to start with after moving into our new home which meant that we could spend our time unpacking and settling in. As it made such a difference, we decided to continue with a fortnightly 2hour clean. Our cleaner, Tan, is friendly, efficient and reliable and we can really see the difference after her visits.

I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional conduct of this service. I had explicitly arranged for a single cleaner to attend my property due to having a dog; however, on the day of the initial clean, two cleaners arrived.
I explained that this was not what had been agreed and that I was unable to proceed under those circumstances. The cleaners stated that this arrangement had been approved by the coordinator, Annie. When I later contacted Annie, she confirmed she had no knowledge of any such change.
This raises serious concerns. Had I not been at home, an unauthorised individual would have entered my property without my consent or awareness. Furthermore, the apparent lack of communication between staff and the coordinator makes the service feel unreliable and untrustworthy.
I requested a refund for my initial payment. While I received an apology after raising the issue, my subsequent emails regarding the refund have been ignored.
Overall, this experience has been highly unsatisfactory and reflects a significant lack of professionalism.
