Etihad: Why Are You Partnering with Wamos Air?!
We booked Etihad because we wanted a premium airline – but our flights from Abu Dhabi to Manila and back (EY446 & EY447) were operated by Wamos Air, and it was an absolute disaster!

The biggest issue? Our in-flight entertainment system didn’t work on both 10+ hour flights. We asked for help four times – completely ignored! No fix, no apology, nothing.

And the service? Terrible. The Wamos crew was rude, arrogant, and downright lazy. They stood around chatting (in Spanish – yes, I understand it!) instead of taking care of passengers. Our trash was never collected, so we had to sit with garbage for the entire flight.

Etihad, why are you partnering with such a terrible airline? We paid for Etihad quality but got a budget airline experience instead. Anyone booking should be aware that they might end up flying with Wamos – and trust me, that’s far from premium!

I expect proper compensation for this awful experience. Etihad, rethink who you work with!

A differenza delle valutazioni negative mi sento di dire che la compagnia è ottima.
Ho prenotato con Ethiad che mi hanno cambiato a Wamos Air.
Al volo di andata avevamo il volo EY84 più datato del volo di ritorno EY83 infatti posti più scomodi e monitor con poco intrattenimento e canali solo in inglese, terminale abbastanza vecchio. Però pasti ottimi e servizio ottimo. Al ritorno aereo più nuovo con monitor touch screen e film in italiano con posti più distanziati, comunque veramente ottima compagnia! consigliatissima per chi deve andare a Dubai/Abu Dhabi con volo diretto e senza spendere una cifra enorme!

Etihad ha cambiato un mese prima il fornitore del viaggio di ritorno Abu Dhabi- Roma facendoci volare con Wamos. L’aereo non era neanche vecchio, ma sedili scomodissimi alla stregua di una low cost, con la differenza che qui ci devi stare 7 ore. Tre film in croce vecchissimi.
Ero nella fila 7 e lo steward della mia zona è stato di una maleducazione unica, più impegnato a fare battutine e carezzine allo steward biondo più giovane.
Scortesi, scomodi e con un servizio davvero pessimo, niente a che vedere con il viaggio di andata con Etihad.
Se voglio viaggiare in questa maniera compro il biglietto da Low cost!
Molto, molto male…se il 90% dei clienti la pensa così la vita è breve.

I am European, 60+, and I have travelled the world by plane quite a lot.

I have never experienced such a terrible seat i an airline. I think even the seat comfort in a 'Flixbus' or even 'Flixtrain' (German cheap bus/train chain) is better. I could stand this type of seat maybe for 2 hours, but not for 10 hrs. Seat very narrow, very close to the neighbour, constantly our arms touching each other, and I (175cm, 75gk) could not even stretch my legs. No window on this window seat in row 7k. The baggage compartment is smaller than I am used to in Economy.

The flight in a A330-200 was operated on behalf of Etihad ('for Etihad') from Manila to Abu Dhabi. This flight takes 10+ hours.

There are many Filipinos on that flight going to Abu Dhabi for work, not too many tourists going home to Europe. I get the feeling someone is thinking they (the working class) do not deserve better seats and will not complain. Are they treated in Arab countries like this? omg.

How can anyone really get the idea, that this A330-200 with these uncomfortable seats, type and configuration, that Wamos Air chose, can be chosen on 10+ hour flight?

After start of the early morning flight (5:30am) 1-2 hours later warm breakfast was offered with a bottle of water. I slept and never saw a bottle of water offered to me again. Some time before landing a couple was denied bottled water, only a glass of water ('no bottles any more'), the man insisted and one minute later the received 2 small bottles of water. Hmmm.

And I think I saw the cabin crew asking for drinks only twice on that long flight!

The organisation of the flight was good, flight calm and on time.

Sinceramente non comprendo le tante recensioni estremamente negative. Sì, è vero, anch'io avevo prenotato il volo da Roma ad Abu Dhabi e viceversa con Ethiad e l'aereo di Wamos è più vecchio, ma Ethiad mi ha avvertito sia in app che via email in diverse occasioni. Torniamo al volo di andata (EY84): aereo un po' vecchiotto ma ho visto di molto peggio, seduta un po' stretta, le lingue nel dispaly sono 2 (inglese e spagnolo) ma se si sceglie il film si accede alle lingue e c'è anche la lingua italiana; non è Ethiad e capisco che pagando un volo una certa cifra ci si aspetta di trovare anche un certo tipo di servizio.
Volo di ritorno (EY83): Aereo più nuovo del precedente, sedute spaziose e più comode, display touch in tre lingue e maggior numero di film di cui tantissimi in italiano.
Sul cibo non saprei dire perché difficilmente mangio in aereo, ma mia moglie e mio figlio sono rimasti soddisfatti della qualità.
In conclusione per me il volo è stato sufficiente.

Preso un volo business operato da Ethiad tramite la compagnia spagnola WAMOS da Roma per le Maldive. Devo dire che rispetto a tante recensioni negative ho fatto un'ottima esperienza di volo, puntuale e molto comodo. Aereo nuovo, silenzioso e personale molto bravo. Se devo dire la verità l aereo era più bello e nuovo di quelli di linea Ethiad. Ottima esperienza, decollo ed atterraggio molto soft.

Booked a flight to Rome with Etihad so my expectations were already incredibly low (I am a Gold member so they give me especially bad treatment for some reason). Surprise! They switched the flight to something called Wamos which is in another league of crappiness altogether. My outbound flight to Rome was a daytime flight so being scrunched into a tiny space was endurable. I am about to experience the return on a night flight which does not bode well. I got scammed by a taxi driver on the way to Fiumicino airport. At least he was a pleasant guy which is why he gets one more star than Etihad/Wamos.

La peggior compagnia aerea che abbia mai visto

Non ci siamo. Volo Abu Dhabi - Roma della durata di 6h e mezza su un aereo vecchio, quasi totalmente privo di intrattenimento (solo una manciata di films) e soprattutto disagevole all'inverosimile per gli spazi, che definire angusti è puro eufemismo: adatti al massimo per una tratta di 2 ore. La 2a stella è per l'equipaggio. Adiós Wamos!

Worst airline ever out of all the carriers. If you are 3ft then you might have a chance. So unprofessional. God knows if there was a incident. I would not feel secure. Abi dahbi to Manila etihad. Absolutely shocking. Should not have licence to fly. They would not even pass for domestic flights never mind long haul. If I could no stars then this would still not be enough. Should be minus. This airline makes and promotes Etihad really bad. Etihad will be getting a major complaint.

If you are taller than 4 feet you will not fit in seat. The seats are so narrow a normal person would have to book 2 seats. The most disappointing flight I have ever experienced. What was more disappointing was that I booked Philippines Airline and I got Wamos.

Ho comprato un volo Abu Dhabi Roma con la compagnia Ethiad e mi ritrovo a viaggiare, senza nessuna comunicazione preventiva, su un aereo della Wanos Air! Inutile dire la fatiscenza del veivolo, sedili rigidi, spazio per le gambe limitato, servizi di intrattenimento a bordo anni 80! Mi chiedo come sia possibile e legale una roba del genere!!!

Perché non posso dare zero spaccato! Un volo prenotato in agenzia e pagato che doveva essere Ethiad con il pacchetto viaggio per le Maldive e ci ritroviamo in una carretta volante, sporca, puzzolente, personale indecente, posti più scomodi del somarello che affaticato va in salita, indecente, cibo inesistente, al prezzo di quasi 2000€ sono imbestialita! Mai più Ethiad mai più!! Emirates tutta la vita.

Worst most uncomfortable flight I have ever had, the only flight I have ever been hot on, least leg room out of all flights. These planes should only be used for one hour domestic flights nothing more, I am too scared to fly Philippine Airlines again in case I get this horrible carrier no thank you.

the worst Airline I have ever flew with, I paid for Philippine Airlines and got Wamos, very small and uncomfortable seating, even the aisles are so narrow.
Most of the staff are Spanish and have broken English, the safety crew officer could not be understood by anyone?

Prenotato volo serale del 20.01.25 su Abu Dhabi con Ethiad ma operato da Wamos senza esserne stati avvisati .
Posto corridoio vicino al bagno della zona "business" , che chiamarla così fà veramente sorridere .
Data perdita di acqua dal bagno , sotto al mio posto si è formato un piccolo lago , problema tamponato con asciugamani e carta assorbente intorno alla cabina del bagno!!!
Aereo vecchio , mal tenuto , cibo scarsissimo .... davvero no so cosa altro dire di peggio .
Mai mi sarei aspettato un comportamento del genere da parte di Etihad , dato che il costo era per un volo "serio" , non come questo di terza categoria .
Prossimamente sempre e solo Emirates per queste destinazioni

ho acquistato un volo di ritorno da abu dhabi a mxp con compagnia Etiiad nel mese di novembre e ieri 22 gennaio mi sono trovata il volo cambiato con la compagnia Vamos . Pessimo comportamento di E. L'aereo utilizzato è supereconomico, paragonabile a easyjet con sedili durissimi, e poco reclinabili .RUMOROSISSIMO al limite della sopportazione ( non si sentivano i video in cuffia xchè coperti dal rumore dell'aeromobile). 7 ore di volo invece delle 6 prenotate .Ovviamente nessun risarcimento dalla compagnia prenotata.

To suddenly have your flight changed from a TUI dreamliner to a Wamos utilitarian flight is to put it lightly, upsetting as I'd never seen a good word about Wamos, and now I know why.

Firstly I would like to invite the CEO of both Wamos and Tui to endure a 10 hour flight with NO legroom, a tray you can't even fold down, substandard food (must have been the cheapest selection Service Air could supply) 1 drink, and a sour faced crew, who slept most of the flight.

We had paid for extra legroom and were assured at check in we would have this, when your knees are literally rammed against the seat in front we knew we did not.

If I again am told I am flying on a Wamos flight, I will be looking for an alternative option, whatever the cost.

It completely took the bloom off what had been a lovely holiday.
