Everything was done to help me by Brennan who really put himself out. The frustration was with Volvo who sold me a car which was not set up properly causing much extra work by Brennan.
With the safety recall on the EX30, I hope consideration will be given to providing a courtesy car if it has to go to the Volvo workshop.

Marc was amazing!
He was absolutely amazing, couldn't ask for a more informative and genuinely nice person to help me.

Volvo Poole were great to deal with. From servicing my old car to talking through the newer cars and the technology that now exists they were respectful, helpful and informative.

John the sales manager and Marc my sales representative helped find me a car that met my needs and fully explained the spec.

Leanne in the service department also took time to ensure I understood how to keep the car in good shape for years to come.

Highly recommend them to anyone thinking of buying a Volvo.

I picked up my new XC60 Ultra a couple of weeks ago and became aware that I required something that wasn't in the original spec to be fitted. The team made the experience from start to finish very easy and rather then multiple visits, they got ahead of the fix that I required and got it all done in a single visit, which is always great. When we were thinking of buying a new car we found Paul Birkin at the Volvo Cars Showroom in Poole to be the most helpful and interested sales person out of all the different showrooms we visited. This gave us the confidence to deal with the showroom and made us feel comfortable with our purchase.
Overall we found Volvo Poole Showroom nice people to do business with.

Bought a car remotely from Volvo Poole.

Service was pretty poor considering they had to make no effort to make the sale. Responses were very slow. Things very unclear.
It was just endless emails trying to sell me things and signing compliance forms to say I didn't want the things they wanted to sell me that I had never asked for.
I complained and told I would be contacted, but never had been.
Car was delivered with no explanation of the vehicle and no-one ever rang me or made an effort. They owe me money and that hasn't materialised as well.

It just felt like I was lucky to be spending £47,000 cash for a car. You'll get better service in Argos buying a toaster.

I picked up my new XC 40 yesterday,thank you Jorden for your detail to attention in the day i picked my new car Jorden was in everyway helpfull and clear about the car i was having.

We have just had a fabulous experience purchasing our used Volvo through this branch, and in particular James Brangan!

Having had a terrible time with another dealership in the area, James was a breath of fresh air to deal with and so friendly and knowledgeable. He took time to understand our needs, what was important to us and even the right things to focus on to get me even more excited about the car!

The test drive was great, giving both myself and my husband a chance to drive whilst explaining the many features of the car. There was no pressure for the sale, it came naturally as we knew we were making the right choice.

Communication was spot on, and on the day of pick up it was extremely smooth and what a nice touch to have it under a cover with a bow on the front - I felt very valued as a customer! We had our 11 month old with us and understanding of time constraints before his next feed were no problem at all.

We are extremely happy with our lovely car and would not hesitate to recommend James and the branch to anyone. Thank you for restoring faith after such a bad experience!

Great experience from the team at Volvo cars Poole. From the initial phone call to enquire about a car for sale to the hand over after we purchased the car was excellent. Marc was easy to understand explained what we needed to do and made purchasing a newer vehicle very easy and stress free. The after sales is also excellent and offered us products and options at reasonable prices.

This is my 10th Volvo, so I am definitely a fan of the make! I have over the years used other branches like Ferndown, Salisbury and the previous Poole branch, so very familiar with the Volvo world. About a month ago, I had to have a new headlight fitted, at great expense (just under £2000).
It soon became obvious that the headlamp washers weren’t working, so today I had to take it back to Poole to have that fixed as it is a fault that would cause an MOT failure. As I suspected they hadn’t been reconnected. A waste of my time and fuel, I don’t live nearby. No apology from the servicing staff and not even a free wash. The trouble is that Volvo Poole know they have the monopoly in the area, as the nearest other branch is in Winchester an hour away.

I had an excellent experience purchasing my car at Volvo Poole thanks to Louis. From start to finish, he was professional, patient, and extremely helpful. He took the time to answer all of my questions, explained everything clearly, and never made me feel rushed or pressured. His knowledge and approachable manner made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. I really appreciated the care and attention he gave throughout, and I would highly recommend Louis to anyone considering buying a Volvo.

All the people/staff I came into contact with or spoke to on the telephone were very polite and helpful. This is the third vehicle I have bought from Volvo Poole. I have been satisfied with them all.

Very attentive pre-sales service.

I contacted this dealership about a new car listed on their website in the spec I wanted. Unfortunately it had sold but I was told there was a used model available - after some persuasive and typically attentive contact from the salesperson I bought it.

I drove well over 2 hours to collect the car. Handover was very rushed, my phone wasn’t able to be connected by the salesperson and I was told rather blithely it would sort itself in a couple of hours. I had to leave with no maps to get home.

My first night drive revealed the interior lights were absent. I contacted the rep who said switch them on. I wrote back and said I had reset the system and they were switched on and I got a reply to reset the system.

I visited my local dealer in Reading who were positively outstanding. Each person I came into contact with was so helpful. Jim Davies and Olivia Spooner were instrumental in getting my car booked in quickly.

The car sold to me was last updated in 2024. An OTA update with bug fixes that was seemingly available in April 2025 was never installed to my car prior to selling it me. And their pre sales check didn’t show that the interior ambient lighting was totally absent which belies there was ever a check at all.

Update: John Beales, general manager, has been in touch and has been very proactive in investigating and resolving the lighting fault and I am happy with his current suggestions. I will update further in due course as discussions progress.

As ever very welcoming and helpful in dealing with my requirements. Sales person was 100% attentive and got everything done on time. I traded in a 6 year old Volvo for a new one which happened to be available at short notice.

Our Selekt Volvo XC40 had a serious engine failure just *days* after we collected it from V Poole and on its first full run. It has been maddeningly difficult to get the sort of active helpful response we would have hoped for, from Volvo Poole and one other Volvo service place where the car is still becalmed!

I went to Volvo in Poole because of a safety recall, and I took the opportunity to have the MOT done by them. The car failed the MOT because there was a problem with the ball joint on the front right side. When the car was delivered to me, after a wheel alignment that they said they did, the steering was pulling to the right. I contacted them and took the car back to them for a new alignment. When the car was delivered to me, the steering was this time pulling to the left and a DSTC fault was showing on the dashboard and the right tyre started to go flat, which had not happened before I took the car to Volvo that day. I went back there the same day and they told me the problem was with my tyres, I went to put new tyres on and at the garage they discovered that I had a crack in the right wheel. Now I am waiting for them to take ownership of the problem they created and fix it. I was thinking of trading my V60 for an XC40 later this year, but at the moment I don't want anything to do with Volvo, just for them to take ownership of their mistake and fix it. My level of trust and satisfaction with Volvo is zero. I did not expect this from a reputable brand like Volvo.

I didn’t have my car serviced at Poole I went to Cambridge garage in Bedhampton. Still very unhappy with the tyres that were on the used car I bought from Volvo Poole. I took my car for a service and was told the car was sold to me with just about legal tyres, which you are allowed to do but morally it was not the right thing to do, I expected more from Volvo.

and helpful explaining the vehicles functions in a warm and polite manner.
