I’m a returning customer and hired a VW camper for short getaway trip this year from Romford branch; great communications and run through of all we needed to know from Katie. The van was immaculate, drove beautiful and was very comfortable for sleeping and cooking in.

Last year we hired a Chausson Flash C646 for a week away and again it was an absolute dream. We never thought of holidaying this way before and it was hands down the best form of holiday experience we have had, from ease of booking and collecting, touring beautiful parts of the UK, to dropping the van back at the end.

Very good customer service from Katie, we have rented several times and each time excellent service at Romford. The Varoom team went out of their way to get a van for us even though it was very busy and sold out. The van itself was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and very enjoyable. Thank you Varoom Romford.

Absolutely fantastic staff in the Bristol depot. Very thoughtful, helpful and knowledgeable! Even sent us video’s incase we forgot/missed anything, 5* service from start to finish. Would recommend!

Customer service in bristol depot was fantastic. Motor home was mechanically sound, clean and tidy. Minor damage on the van was all photographed before we hired the vehicle. I found the online payment system not so good. The only problem with the van seemed to be a leaky seal on the toilet. Which meant we had to clean the area where the cassette was stored regularly. All in all the pick up and return went very smoothly and we had a very enjoyable trip to Scotland’s west cost. I would definitely use Vaaroom again. Thanks.

Excellent service from booking all the way to drop off. Ryan at the Bristol depot was very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely rebook in the future.

Great 1st experience of Vaaroom and the Nomad VW Camper. We are looking to rebook for another weekend already. Booking online and customers services were all great, email communication reminding to uploading docs/pay deposits etc were easy and helpful. Collection and drop off were both easy and quick. Katy was super friendly. We had the Bronze VW for 2 nights, van was basically brand new and very clean. The van is well thought out and easy to use. Comes with a big bag of cooking utensils, plates, cups etc, some brand new! but we had our own save using theirs. Would highly recommend hiring from Vaaroom, Nomad Camper vans 10/10 5*

Experience so far has not been good. As requested by VAAROOM, I have agreed to edit this review with an update at the end of the hire. Watch this space.

EDIT: Having returned the hire I can update the review with the following.
1. The motor-home was very clean and mechanically sound.
2. All the basics needed to use the motor-home are included.
3. The staff at the collection/drop off depot were very friendly, helpful, and professional.
4. The customer service received during the booking process was not very good at all. Issues with the online payment system were preventing secure payments from being made and how two members of the customer service dealt with that entire situation was appalling.
5. I did receive a call from the managing director who seemed receptive to the issue I expressed and gave assurances that problem areas were being dealt with accordingly.
Mistakes can happen, and things do go wrong from time to time. It's what a company does to fix the mistake that matters most in the end. As a result I am happy to give 4 stars instead of the 1 star review that I initially gave.
That said...LOTS of room for improvement in the customer service on the booking/hire/reservation side of things.
Would I use VAAROOM again? If asked during the initial experience of making the booking I would have said no chance! However, because of the good experience with the depot staff together with the efforts made by the MD to set things right, I can say Yes, I would use again.

Just hired a 2 Berth camper van for Glastonbury, great van , everything you need and in great condition, Would also like to say that Katy who works at Romford branch gave great professional service and was available on phone for advice, Would highly recommend Vaaroom and many thanks to Katy.

Fantastic service and helpful staff especially Katy. Clean and comfortable motorhome. Pleasure to drive. Did the Scottish north coast 500 amazing sights and travelled in comfort. Will definitely use again.

Having just returned our 6 berth camper we hired for 6 days, we have immediately re booked for next year to ensure we do not miss out. This was the 2nd time I’ve used the Bristol depot and can’t fault them for their efficiency and professionalism, giving a clear but not long winded guide on how to use the amenities on board ensuring the collection / return process is simple. The booking team are helpful and friendly, making the whole process seamless.

It was easy and extremly fast eveytime I hire one. Caravan is ready and super clean. Pet is not a problem at all.

Brilliant communication since the day I made the enquiry about booking it right through to collection and returning.
It was lovely and clean. Only down side is plates cutlery and cups are all plastic.

Won't stop us booking again for next year...

We just booked again for our second hire with Varoom. The van worked well for the three adults and two dogs for the NC 500 so we are venturing onto the Outer Hebrides this time. It is surprisingly comfortable to cover the long distances and so worth booking the extra time to load up and empty at home as it is really convenient to do this directly rather than via the car. We can easily leave a car there during the stay there too so that is a real bonus. Sharon is great and covers all the details and so all the ts&cs clear. I have already recommended them to friends.

Honestly, I don't know where to start! As a total novice when it comes to motorhomes and hiring them, Vaaroom were simply fluid and impeccable right from first contact. Sharon was brilliant on the phone with everything I needed to know about the hire, very clear on ALL costs, nothing hidden at all and very easy to book. On collection Katie was warm and welcoming, she really made me feel at ease with what I was taking on for a few days. The beautiful 6 berth motorhome was waiting and she showed me everything I needed to know in layman terms. Nothing seemed too much for her. She even gave me her mobile number in case of any issues out of hours, really went beyond the call of duty. Everything was perfect about the van, it was also immaculate and a joy to drive.

We had zero issues with any part of our weekend break to Cromer, with 4 adults (my Mrs, daughter and her boyfriend) and our dog. It was very comfortable to drive and to live in. The handover and return couldn't have been more perfect.

My £2k deposit was returned almost immediately along with the excess. No chasing at all - and I was under the impression it wouldn't be returned for another few weeks, which I wouldn't have had a problem with. I honestly couldn't fault ANYTHING with Vaaroom. I'm lucky they are based on my doorstep and we will definitely be using them again!

I was shocked to see the less than 5 star reviews here, but what I will say is that they are a number of years old and the company might have been under different owners then. Whoever owns it now really does care about the business and the customer service and care is beyond compare.

If this company has any reward schemes for staff then I highly recommend Sharon and Katie for any awards. They both should be the ones to mentor any future staff or training. Honestly, they were both awesome. Don't filter through the one star nonsense, look at the recent reviews. I'm normally quite brutal with trust pilot reviews, but leaving this one was a pleasure and absolutely essential to get the message across. Well done Vaaroom!!

Good company that reply quickly to questions. The van was brilliant and did everything we need it to, very clean when collecting and easy to use. Katie was great talking us through the van as well. Only criticism was the van was plastered in ugly "hire me" stickers, slightly pointless given no one is going to rent a van from London when they saw it in Scotland or Wales. Also made it so we didn't take to many photos with the van or I would have posted and tagged the company
