This company is an absolute joke,an engineer was supposed to come out last Friday,and nobody came,there are so many comments on the Facebook group saying the same thing,why book an appointment if they're not going to show up,I'm surprised this company is still trading,and when someone looks at this from the company,don't dare say you've tried to phone me,because that's not true either,as I've experienced this before,I think they need new management to run this company properly without liars and thieves
Failed meter Connection
Utilita have yet again let me down. No surprise there then given the history so far.
1st day 11th November wasted 6.5 hours on hold with so many cut off calls.
It took me 3 separate days of calls to eventually book a meter reconnection. They understood clearly that the electric plus the meter had been cut off due to my bad tenant having a grass farm.
I eventually had a meter reinstall date of the 26th between 8-12 and they failed to turn up because it already had a smart meter?!!
Well we all knew that and they knew the reason why it was cut off along with the fact I had purchased new 10mm tail wires because apparently they don't supply these.
All good I'd assumed but some total moron at Utilita had failed to add the reason/ information I'd given to the meter installer.
He then simply checked the network info found it had a smart meter and promptly cancelled the appointment.
Luckily when I rang today I got through in about 30 minutes and have had to agree a new reconnection/ re-energise the meter now for 6th December.
I have asked for compensation for having someone at the property purposely waiting but it's been refused.
I don't know if I want to waste my time dragging them.to the small claims court?
If I could give minus 5 Stars it would be no less than they deserve.
They are difficult to get through to and don't record the correct information. They don't deserve business

And I received an other email a few weeks later saying that it would be 6 to 8 weeks. And I still haven’t received it. So i have sent a email asking what happens and why I haven’t received it or why I haven’t had response regarding this? You really shouldn’t say people are entitled to these goods. And you don’t send them it’s wrong.

Left without electricity in this freezing cold weather because apparently my money didn’t go on but showed proof of my purchase, I was then told they’d phone me back false promises! Utilita Energy is the most dishonest company ever known. The customer service doesn't care whatever you say. Some of them can be rude. Their job is how much is possible to steal from the credits. After switching the heating,
in seconds £2 to 5 pounds disappears.
I credited £50 in the shop and I had £33 in the mitre the 3/11. I came back home mitre showed £75 instead of £83.
There is no respect, morals or professional manners. Sickening.
Last year summer I came back from abroad I found the food in the fridge-freezer had gone off completely. I put it in the bin. One month it was impossible to contact Utilita customer service until the Suffolk editor contacted them I got the power back.
What the future holds. Chaos and uncertainty.

Very bad provider, they are just robbing you. You pay for what we don’t. This company sells electricity and gas but they do not tell you how kilowatts you purchase, the stupid meter just shows money , same for the gas when purchasing gas, they should tell me how much cubic meter I purchased. But they do not tell you because they don’t want you to know. If you switch off electricity they still keep charging you, so be careful do not fall under their teeth

I am disabled and rely on oxygen machines for breathing difficulties I’m on utilita’s vunerable list and was discusted and shocked by the way i have been treated by customer services when enquiring about financial help to see me through until the following week I was hung up on twice ( which was no accident unless you have complete imbeciles working there) and then promised a call back from a manager who for the umpteenth time was in a coincidental meeting which after 2 days has not happened as I’m running out electricity it’s get pretty worrying for breathing concerns and I’m not getting anywhere with utilita so far as to say I need help and don’t seem to have anywhere to turn to …..Thanks Utilita

All the issues started when I decided for utilità to take over my gas supply too. Always had issues with the meter they installed and was not communicating with my Utilita app so it was always showing I was in emergency credit. Every time had to call to get a code which sometimes I was given invalid . Loads of calls and time consuming to complain . In the end was never fixed, nor my complaint was responded via email. In the end I decided to switch supply. They only tried to contact me when I switch supply. Very unprofessional.
Some of the customer service assistant were rude.
I would not recommend this supplier .

Avoid like the plague
Moved into a new place. Tried to switch utilities over to my name. After going through a maze of pre-recorded messages and waiting on hold, the phone rings on their end and...nobody picks up. I could hear the office noises in the background so it seems like they literally picked up the receiver and just didn't answer the phone. This has happened so many times that I am sure it is company policy to ignore phone calls like this. Especially in the evenings.
I managed to get hold of someone for once and they set up my account, only to have them misspell my name (after reading it back to me correctly) and completely remove any option to pay for electricity. All mention of electricity vanished from the app and I can only see the gas bill. I can't even pay for this via their guest payment website now. The new house is on a prepayment meter that I can't top up, so what happens when the credit runs out?
Awful, holding on to our money
Changed energy suppliers as we have had enough of the terrible customer service and the fact it is impossible to speak to anyone at this company even on their live chat you’re waiting for hours only to get disconnected. We are £709 in credit and been waiting over a month to receive payment. No way of finding out when/if they’ll actually give it back to us after several hours on hold on chat and phone, no reply to emails. Will be reporting to the energy ombudsman to see if we can actually have some support in getting our money back

I was realy angry wen calling to try n get help wi gas n leci and the back ground noise was harendus, i said to the call handler the noise was Appauling all she said wiz, it is a claa centre, wot are they all sitting squashed up on the floor wi phones infront of them, are they sitting on top of each other, this one idiot on another call only got louder as if he knew i was complaining, absalutely impossible to hear my lady, i was going to get assistance with my gas but gas meyer still not comunicating so im apparenly to call back, wot to get the same thing, i also questioned wot the priority system is for, i have severe health issues in my house, young kids n wen i run out they stop working, i need my heating and gas, yet yir told if you end up running out youll still be with heating and light, not the case, so i ended up telling the caller i was unhappy and i hung up the phone, realy angry

App won’t let me top up ! Waited on the phone half an hour for the stupid woman to hang up ! I’ve got a 2 year old in my house and my gas is about to go ! Topped up £140 early hours which has left my account and I’ve still not got gas ! I will be moving supplier asap nothing but a head ache

Terrible supplier AVOID AT ALL COSTS wish I never swapped over in the first place total waste of time!!! Nothing but problems with them top up cards not working and they have not done anything about it arguing with me down the phone telling me everything is fine there end of that was the case then I would be able to top up the electricity and not just my gas the worst company!! Will be switching back to ovo energy
