Clear information on information needed for a business account
Applying for a business account, application was simple as only my husband and I as owners and clear in advance what personal information would be needed for the application. Minor hiccup as I already had an account for another business and so could not apply using the same email address. Once that was overcome, process was simple and account was opened the next day.

Quick and easy online application
Already held a fixed rate account for my company so it was simple to apply for an additional easy access account. Account was opened instantly after online application submitted and new account details provided so that the account could immediately be funded. Nice to receive confirmation text when funds arrived in the new account. Good range of easy access accounts all with competitive rates.

Overall good experience
Relatively easy set up, although some of the id verification was a bit clunky. Account set up and money transferred over and showing in new account fine. I would like to see United Trust Bank have a feed with Freeagent for my accounting purposes to make life a little easier, other than that no complaints. Appreciate some people miss having a mobile app but for my purposes doing everything on the laptop is fine.

Opening an account to deposit trust funds
Dealing with trust funds and the responsibilities you have as trustees is overwhelming. I had an initial telephone chat with the Trust Team to explain about a trustee reserve account and a telephone number was provided for me to phone if I got into difficulty with the online application. The application was okay, there was a list of legal documents that were needed to help you prepare and email requests for further information were sent following submission. Help was available at every step of the way, the whole process was quick and fairly easy and I can't praise the Trust Team enough for their excellent customer service.
