Re setting Humax Freesat box without losing recordings.
I contacted Humax because my freesat box kept showing buffer underrun.Marcus replied with very detailed information regarding a reset without losing recorded channels. I followed the instructions and the problem was resolved.

Just wanted a replacement remote for an old Humax box; it arrived very quickly and works fine.
Do not waist your money!!!!
Do not waist your money!!!!. Keeps cutting out, turning off while watching a programme you've recorded, sometimes it doesn't record what you set it to record, or only half the programme, other times it just records random programme.s Seriously don't waist your money get something else!!.

The newly released Freely recorder, was not worth buying, because it does not record Freely channels.
A wasted time and money. I got my money back but not my time and petrol money.
Not suitable for people who work during their favourite programmes on......

A refurbished recorder at a great price.
I purchased a refurbished unit that firstly was offered at a great reduction against new and secondly is working well.
Very happy with Humax - Carl in particular.
I had a recurring problem with a Humax Aura unit and so I contacted Customer Support. Carl suggested possible remedies for the issue but over time the problem persisted.
A replacement box was arranged for me and this was delivered within a few days of me returning the original one.
I am extremely satisfied with the service from Humax, in particular Carl who was friendly and professional throughout the process.

Aura EZ Freely box what a waste
2nd attempt at posting this. Add to the following that the recording guide does now not show any information. I have a number of recordings, I am not going to risk losing them in a reset. A good idea, poorly executed. Search button on remote does not work. According to other online reviews it will not unless you disable Freely, what is the point of that when it is a Freely box? No search available on the recording side, therefore you have to know when a programme is on to set a recording: obviously trying to discourage recording in this day of streaming, so why make a recording box? Series recording is not always picked up, but that might be a guide related problem probably outside of Humax control. I have had other Humax boxes most recently HDR Fox T2 an excellent machine that I am only reluctantly moving from because a) the hard drive/processor are showing their age and b/ I wanted to embrace the future of Freely, what a mistake. The Fox T2 enable backup/copying of recordings to USB, not the Aura, again a missed opportunity, probably to overcome copyright issues. It is a good idea but with too many niggles to make it a (at the present) worthwhile investment. Hopefully Humax will come up with a series of fixes, but for now, my advice, don't bother buying.

My experience was excellent a big thank you to Ivan he made it very easy for me to return my item very polite at all times and very quick responses to emails. All credit to his customer service which doesn't happen very much these days, cannot find a fault, so thank you again for a stress free return.
I have an ongoing problem with my Humax…
I have an ongoing problem with my Humax Aura TV box where it throws up a WiFi has no internet message every few minutes even though you are streaming and watching programmes or when watching recordings even though the programme is un-efected. Over a period of weeks Carl at Humax has tried to help me in every way possible to resolve the issue. Unfortunately for me I'm out of the guarantee period, so my only option is to put up with it, try to get it repaired or buy the new version. My box is just 3 years old. However Carl was most helpful in every way he could be, by providing guidance on things to try to resolve the issue, it looks like I have a faulty WiFi adapter. Thank you Carl.

Just had to write this every now and again the remote looses it's memory and I cannot make it match the set it's complete rubbish system tried pairing with Bluetooth nothing bought a new remote won't pair why don't they make life simple so I have 2 remotes and a Freeview box that is no good and it cannot be happening to just me don't buy one get the 5000t which I am going back to lost interest i mean having to pair a remote get real
