Ordered school trousers for my granddaughter. Trousers are a lovely fit, comfortable and good quality although I wouldn’t expect anything less from Trutex 🙂

The clothes aren’t very good quality…
The clothes aren’t very good quality and there were permanent marks on the white polo shirts which we can’t remove. Also; the sizing is off even though I gave exact measurements. They still didn’t fit my son. Won’t be buying again but a huge fuss to return when you have kids.

I'm really picky when it comes to…
I'm really picky when it comes to uniforms and pride myself in making sure my daughter goes to school looking respectable.
I have used Trutex quite a few times over the years and decided to use them again this year, they just offer something a little extra. She has polo shirts, PE tops and we had her airtex style shirts for PE from here too and I have to admit I am still blown away by the quality. The thickness of the tops is greet especially walking into autumn / winter and they are the only brand of school clothing they doesn't go out of shape in the wash, when I'm ironing her tops I've noticed they the seam lines are completely spot on each and every time and it's into October now so we've had a good 4 weeks worth of wearing so far.
With my whites I do use non bio and fine they they have so far stayed incredibly white which is perfect and exactly what I need!! I tend to rub a bit of bleach on white tops if they get any pen / dirty marks that are stubborn and do not come out in the first wash.
Overall the quality and customer service are fabulous and in my daughter's Opinion ( the comfort) is second to none and she skips into school every morning very happy with what she is wearing and it's comfort!

Stylish, Hard-Wearing, and Hassle-Free Shirts
After a recommendation from a friend who had bought from Trutex, I decided to invest in some quality shirts for my son as he started secondary school in September. Being sporty and always on the move, he needed something durable. I also wanted him to make a good impression, and after seeing the difference in how my friend’s son looked in his Trutex shirts compared to other brands, the choice was clear. The shirts wash beautifully, require no ironing, and still look smart every time. I fully recommend this company and their shirts

2025 not a good year
Very disappointed with this years (2025) order from Trutex. I ordered Premium 2 pack Slim Fit Non-Iron Girls School Shirts (5-16+ Years) end of August. Only yesterday the shirts arrived. Took over 20 days! although paid immediately.
I ordered size Age 14. The sizing is way off - far too big from chest downwards !!! Top part fits perfectly- so I can’t see how downsizing would work. My girl is 16!!!
And the shirts are totally see through. For us unfortunately a no go. Can’t believe that the shirts passed a quality check. Now it’s end of September and we ended up with no school shirts for 2 children. And of course I paid for it.
In previous years service and quality was great - what’s happening?

Operational fail at Trutex
Sadly this year 2025 Trutex has been utterly undeliverable across all ages for uniform for DESS schools. I visited the store twice with relentless queues and no stock. Ordered online, the order got lost and look over 2 weeks to arrive. Went back to the store. No stock in store. Somewhere there is an operational disconnect, staff are being yelled at by parents (not me) but it’s actually the management that has created this mess. I hope you find the right people to improve your operations. It has never been this poor previously. In terms of quality of uniform, when you can get it, it’s actually very good.

You're absolutely right to highlight that something has gone wrong operationally. We acknowledge that the service levels this season have not met the standards we expect of ourselves or those that you rightly expect from us. We are currently conducting a full internal review to understand exactly where the breakdowns have occurred and are already working on improvements to ensure this does not happen again.
We are particularly sorry to hear that you witnessed staff being put under pressure due to these issues. While our store teams have done their best in difficult circumstances, the responsibility for the wider challenges lies with us at a management level, and we are taking that seriously.

The only problem is that they are definitely not non-iron!! I have followed the washing and drying instructions and they look terrible. So, still ironing the school shirts every weekend.

The first blazer I ordered was too big for my son, the refund was hassle free and super easy. The second one arrived. Fabulous quality at great prices came within 2 days, altered really well and badge sewed on looks amazing. Better quality than m&s by far. Would use this again next blazer.

I've now had another change from the delivery date. I was told the 10th yesterday now it's the 22nd. I have NEVER had as bad an experience with uniforms than I have from here. I will leave a separate review for the quality if they ever arrive , however even the nicest things n the world are useless if a company can't meet demand or actually get them to you. it's obvious they have either over sold and are waiting for their team to manufacture more, or their delivery system has collapsed.
I've already had to get him uniforms from somewhere else while I wait for this one to arrive. reading their replies on this site... it's never their fault is it. they always blame it on customer incompetence. obviously a corporate catastrophe on their behalf

girls contemporary grey straight skirt
bought a skirt from them and it was the ugliest thing I've ever put on. awkwardly long and went out on my hips had to return a 2 skirts because despite the first one being in my size it was far too small and the other was absolutely awful. looked vile.

I did not receive a confirmation email when I ordered it. This is disappointing as it meant that when I tried to return my item of clothing I had no order number.
