The Host isn't a tour Guide, nor are they expected to be one! They get to explore and enjoy with the rest of their community while our professionals (the local Guide provided through our Trip Operators) take over as the experts.

Host a Trip
Trova Travelers are people looking to travel, who want to connect with like-minded folks, and who are excited to travel with Creators and community leaders.
Travelers are invited to a trip via the Host and sign up on the Trova platform. The itinerary and everything the trip includes will be clearly listed on the trip page before booking.
Once Travelers book, they’ll hear next steps and any preparation info they need to know going into their trip. Typically, Travelers and Hosts will be connected in a shared chat in advance of the trip so everyone can get to know each other and get excited. Travelers can check out all of the available TrovaTrips below.

Trip Operators are our local experts. These are the companies that build out curated itineraries, then lead and guide visitors at the destination. They are the boots on the ground that ensure visitors to their countries, cities, or tourist destinations are having the best possible experience on their visit. Partnering with Trip Operators gives our Hosts and Travelers the most authentic, enjoyable, and (hopefully) life-changing experience possible when visiting a new place.
TrovaTrip thoroughly vets our Trip Operators before curating, co-designing, and adding their itineraries to the marketplace. It’s an intense, thorough vetting process that we use to ensure safety as well as overall Traveler experience.

Magic under the northern lights
We had the best group of mostly strangers that came together and had the most magical time in Iceland! Our host and our tour guide were amazing and I can't wait to do it again!

Iceland Rocks!
The host and guide for Iceland Trova Trip were excellent. Accommodations and food as well. The sites we saw were well thought out and I got to see and do a lot of stuff; geysers, waterfalls, cliff walks, ice cave, talking and enjoying the group.

We had the best guide ever Dede
We had the best guide ever Dede. I love him and he knew so much about his country and culture. He also does his job excellent. I love visiting Bali. I just wish we could pick the activities to do and the days. We were exhausted after a day filled with activities. I didn't want to participate in anything the next day. I also didn't like the second villa that we was placed on the 3rd floor. This villa was also very far from activities in Ubud. I understand it was close to the airport. My overall experience was good and I would definitely want to do another trip to Bali.

Magical trip in Iceland
We had a magical trip in Iceland! Our hostess was so much fun. Our guide & driver was knowledgeable and told stories of folklore and history along the way. The sights were breathtaking! The food delicious. The people warm and welcoming. I would totally do it again, and will, as soon as I decide where I want to go next.

Terrific Time in Thailand.
Our Trip Coordinator and on-ground Tour Guide were AWESOME!!!! They were both easy to work with and very knowledgeable. Our Tour Guide in Thailand was so much fun. I cannot say enough good things about Pond.

Egypt November 2024
I went to Egypt November 2024. Hosted by Gavin reads it all, the perfect host. Trova trip had everything planned, activities, hotel, travel and a guide.
I honestly had the best time visiting the pyramids, the temples, kings of the valley, hot air balloon, falucca boat over the river Nile. Stunning. 10 days was perfect.

My trip was absolutely incredible! It was filled with so many amazing memories, the people, from experiencing the vibrant culture to marveling at stunning cathedrals, majestic castles, fascinating museums, and important historical landmarks.
I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to explore these incredible places. A huge thanks to our tour guides, Sammy and Mike! They were both fantastic and made the experience even more special with their knowledge and insights.

The TrovaTrip app made this trip very enjoyable. Being able to keep track of the itinerary as well as chat with fellow travelers in the same app was really great. At the end of each day, our guide would reiterate plans for the day stating any changes, times, and what we would need for this particular activity. I found that very helpful.
