Just got back from TripOppo's Japan and Korea tour for two weeks. This trip was really well organized. Prior to the trip, there was a Zoom meeting about how to prepare and what to expect. Throughout the tour, there was a tour escort to take care of us. The tour guides in Japan and South Korea were very friendly and knowledgeable and accompanied us throughout each country. The hotels were lovely, and the rooms were more spacious than I had imagined. The meals were different from what I'm used to, but it was great to try some local food. The itinerary was quite packed, and I recommend allowing customers to have more free time, especially in Japan.

The guides for Egypt and Jordan were knowledgeable and knew the tourist industry well in their countries. This trip would not be suitable for travellers with mobility issues. There was a lot of walking on uneven ground, with steps, great distances and getting into and out of small boats was precarious. We were often asked for tips and I am curious as to whom the $290 pp (that we paid in advance) went to. The guide in Egypt put a lot of pressure on us to take a coach ride in Luxor which was never mentioned as an optional trip. The guide was often asked by several travellers for some free time to visit local markets to do some shopping but instead we were taken to expensive designated shops which many were not interested in or couldn’t afford.
Two optional trips that were not worth the money were the Light Show in Karnak. The same explanation was given by our guide which was very thorough. The second that I would not recommend is the trip to Jarash. The lengthy trip there (2 hrs). and back (2 hrs) to see much of what we’ve already seen was not worth the time. A possible alternative to Jarash would be a 15 minute bus ride to see Bethany Beyond Jordan (a World Heritage Site) which is the location of Jesus’ baptism. We took the optional tour on the Hot Air balloon which was excellent. The downside was we (a group of 5 women) were passed on from one stranger to another to another getting us there and back home. We felt very uncomfortable and vulnerable. I suggest that one designated person be assigned to help us navigate through this optional tour.

This tour was truly spectacular, it was fast paced while being very organized beginning with Mohammed greeting us at the airport. Our guide in Egypt, Ali was first class and went out of his way to make everything perfect including feeling safe at all times. His knowledge of ancient Egypt was astounding and he was always willing to answer any questions. The 4 night Nile cruise was unforgettable as were all the ancient sites. The food quality varied but was always plentiful. The Jordan extension is highly recommended as Omar was an excellent guide and the sites are equally as spectacular. The pace was fast, the hotels and food were excellent and our driver was top notch. It was not necessary to communicate with Tripoppo other than the booking process which was flawless. Overall the trip was ‘Once in a lifetime’ and based on the experience would recommend Tripoppo. It was also nice to be with a friendly group of Canadians!

I enjoyed this trip! Great value for my $! TripOppo was very thorough!



3 weeks prior departure, there was a Zoom meeting for participants to share expectations, field & answer questions, & for those unable to attend, they provided a YouTube recording to watch at leisure. .



There was good meet & greet at Seoul airport & included transfers to our Hotel. Hotels throughout the tour were very good & they all served excellent, sumptuous, eastern as well as western buffet breakfasts. Many of our lunches & dinners were included-found them all very interesting, & gave us a good idea of local fare. Our bus driver was good & I felt very safe & comfortable with him at the wheel. Sandy our tour guide was excellent. Her explanations were timely & detailed & as we toured along, we gained a good understanding of geography & culture. We all enjoyed a fun opportunity trying on hanboks & wearing them not only for great photos but to experience walking through the streets & the palace. TripOppo’s rep Popsy Chan was ever present, easy to talk to, & shared ideas & opinions when asked. The majority departed for Japan prior my return flight to Toronto. Popsy ensured to give me contact details & checked up with me via WhatsApp that my included return transfer to the airport went well & there were no problems.



My only (& a very big disappointment for me) was TripOppo’s flat refusal to grant what I thought a doable & very small request. Prior knowing of this tour, I had only, very recently before, done a more extensive tour of Japan with another company, than TripOppo’s add-on to this their S. Korea tour. I specifically asked, but they would not allow any changes to their package e.g. spending extra days in Korea even at our own additional expense, neither before or after the Korea segment. I think granting this little request would have helped us tremendously – better justify a very long journey & given us another perspective - more time on our own to appreciate the country. I would then have had no complaints at all against TripOppo.

It is a great IndoChina land tour program offered by TripOppo. All 5 tour guides we had in Saigon, Hoian, Hanoi, Siem Reap and Bangkok were terrific. We certainly enjoyed the cultural experience and the guides' company.
The only negative comment on the trip is the choice of hotel in Saigon. We were placed in two twin rooms at the Harmony Hotel with practically no views and no natural light - the only blinded window was facing a wall of the neighboring building; and the hotel certainly is not a 4-star hotel even by Vietnam standards.
Maybe better communications between TripOppo and the local travel agencies would make future land tours even better!

Having been on many group tours before, TripOppo would rate well above average OVERALL for our Korea & Japan enchantment tour.

A successful group tour is determined by what we as participants put into it & what TripOppo provides as the platform to make it happen.

The hotel accommodation overall was good except for the Grand Hotel which needed attention to become a 4 star hotel.

The breakfasts overall were good & catered for the traditionalists & adventurous minded eaters. For example, fizzy drinks & ice cream for breakfast!!( I should have brought our grandkids along) :-)

The all inclusive lunch & dinners were good. The BBQ eel & rice could do with some accompaniments. eg salads maybe?

TripOppo did try to cover all of Korea & Japan which incurred lengthy bus rides & walking & some agitated passengers. Credit to all the bus drivers who got us from A to B safely & not fall asleep at the wheel.

As for all our tour guides, Kim(Korea) & Sonny(Japan, they were great ambassadors for their country...

Then there's Popsi (TripOppo) who had the onerous task of managing 2 groups (Group A & Group B).
Popsi did well to keep our unruly Group A in toe. She went beyond her expected responsibilities to resolve some unfortunate individual's mishaps.

We had a wonderful tour of Korea & Japan, thanks to our knowledgeable tour guides Kim (in Korea) and Sunny (in Japan), and of course Popsy, who made sure that everyone is present and know where and when to be at expected times. The tours were both educational and entertaining. We saw the beautiful scenery and historical sites of the two countries. Enjoyed most of the foods, but we wished there was more time to discover the local street foods. The hotels in Korea were fine, but the hotels in Japan (quality and locations) require consideration. Overall, it was a good holiday. Thanks!

First of all, I want to acknowledge that the team leader Popsy Chan was a life saver. She was instrumental in helping my husband get back on the trip after losing his passport. She is knowledgeable, intelligent and completely reliable. Not only did she take charge with my husband's situation but she was very organized and took care of other fellow travellers mishaps. She was always available to us and we had her phone number if we had any concerns. She even watched our bags for us at the airport so we could walk around and shop. She is one of the best tour leaders that I have encountered. She made this trip memorable and enjoyable for me and Tripoppo is lucky to have her. South Korea was a 3 star and Japan for me was a 5 star and hence the 4 star overall rating. There was too much time on the bus going from place to place in S. Korea. The guide Kim needs more training. She did not carry the Tripoppo flag and I was always trying to find her. She was very difficult to understand and her English needs to improve. She also needs to review the history of the sites as she often did not know the answers to questions I asked. The Japanese Guide Sunny on the other hand was excellent! Always watching where his group was, he knew a lot of information about the historical sites and his English was perfect. I was pleased with all the hotels in S. Korea and Japan and I was always able to find something to eat at breakfast.

Popsy was our tour leader and took care of things from the very beginning, starting with the departure from Toronto, to the flight between Seoul and Osaka, and on the flight home. She went over and beyond her call of duty by staying with the Group’s luggage until the drop-off counters were opened so that we could do our last-minute shopping at the airport. Popsy is very organized, approachable, helpful and has a great sense of humor. There were over 50 people on this trip, divided into Group A and Group B. Even though she spent most of her time with Group B while we were in Japan, she was always available to those in Group A for chats and questions at breakfasts, or when we met on tours, or via WhatsApp.
Overall, the trip was quite enjoyable and we got a taste and feel of the two countries we visited. Nevertheless, some refinements to the itinerary may be necessary to avoid too much time spent on riding the bus and to allow more time to visit local markets, especially to sample the street foods well known in both countries.
Our local guide in Japan (Sunny) was super organized, very knowledgeable, accommodating and kept us informed of what was happening next. Our local guide in South Korea (Kim) was very nice and friendly. With more experience and confidence, she would become a very good guide.
Hotels in Korea were quite satisfactory and much better than the ones in Japan. Hotels in Japan needed updating and refreshing. In some cases, the room was cramped and the phones and televisions were not working properly. In one particular case, the air conditioning was not functional rendering the room quite hot and uncomfortable.
Other reviewers had already commented in detail on the optional Kaiseki Dinner. We were led to believe it was an experience not to be missed. In the end, it was a total waste of time and money. The food was unacceptable and service was nonexistent. Popsy and Sunny both apologized and initiated a follow up immediately. We certainly hope that this would be resolved expeditiously and to the satisfaction of all those concerned.

We took the 15 day South Korea and Japan tour with TripOppo on October 10, 2023. We had a fantastic memorable experience on this trip and got to see the beautiful places in both countries. Our tour guides Kim and our bus driver for Group A were fantastic in South Korea. Kim was knowledgeable, friendly and had lots of patience. Our bus driver even helped us when we were at the Korean bbq replacing our grill for a new clean one each time we needed a replacement. He was always very helpful and an excellent safe driver.
Sonny our tour guide in Japan and our driver Audiyamason were great! Sonny was very knowledgeable, funny and shared his suggestions for lunch at the many bus stops. We tried all of his suggestions and were never disappointed. 😊 The bus driver was always very friendly, patience and drove us safely everywhere.
We took the optional tour with our tour guide Asai and Ausuykisan was our driver at the hotel lobby on October 23, 2023. Asai was very informative and took all nine people to Kamakura and Yokohama. We had a fabulous time with him and he was honest and kind. The bus driver drove us safely in a nice big bus too.
We thoroughly enjoyed all the traditional Korean and Japanese food. The breakfasts at all the hotels were very enjoyable with lots of variety. They were well organized with our group and informed us what time to meet plus had a place at the hotel lobby to park our luggage when we had breakfast because we had to leave on time.
Popsy was great because she went over and above to bring our two South Korean ESIM cards that we forgot to pack with us. We were super happy she gave it to us in South Korea so we utilized it. She was always helpful when we had any questions.
We would definitely go on another trip with TripOppo.

Turkey itinerary was packed full of new experiences with significant learning of a new culture and religion. The tour guide Husnu Celebi was great - very knowledgeable and attentive to needs of the group, patient, planned regular stops when travelling long distances by bus and most of all, due to demonstrations - ensured safety by rearranging the day to avoid the demonstrations. The hot air balloon ride was my highlight - totally enjoyed it and the cave hotel. This trip would have been rated a 5 - however, we went a day early and the hotel room TripOppo booked for us was really bad - dirty carpet, shower broken and leaking despite our reports to the front desk that it needed repair. I would also like to see the tour guide booked into the same hotel pre tour - and post tour ( night before departure ) due to language barriers with the front desk.

Wonderful experience in Korea. The sights, food, and accommodation were fantastic. Long bus rides but worth it. Popsy, our travel director was helpful and tried her best to accommodate everyone despite attending to the needs of 2 different groups. Kim, Sonny, and the bus drivers were kind and helpful. Kim, did her best to provide information and Sunny was funny with his stories.
The sights and places we’ve visited in Japan was amazing. The only downside was my disappointment with the kaiseki dinner and the accommodation in Tokyo therefore the 4 stars.

Amazing Trip - Great experience!
Well organized and worry free for us. Small group so we were able to connect well and share our positive experiences with each other many of whom came from different provinces.
Our guide, Mr Husnu Celebi was a great asset. His knowledge of the various sites and local history and customs was invaluable and he willingly shared this information with us. He was always very accommodating and tried to fulfill all requests.
Over all a very positive experience. I am looking forward to my next trip with Trip Oppo.

Good value for the price. Tripoppo delivered for the most part. We saw a lot of S. Korea and Japan. Popsy was our Tripoppo representative who travelled with us the whole time, we which we didn’t expect. She was very helpful and informative. Someone in our group left their laptop behind in a hotel, and she made sure it was delivered to our next hotel. She also helped us with our check-in issues. For each of South Korea and Japan we had a separate tour guide for each group A and B. The tour guides we had were very friendly and accommodating. However, we didn’t feel we received a lot of local information unless we asked.
We did the optional DMZ tour which we found interesting. There was a military tour guide, which we hoped would give us some additional information. However, she only spoke Korean and we didn’t understand any of it?
The hotels were not four or five star, and the food was just OK. There was tooooo much time on the bus because the hotels were out of the main area so we spent a lot of time travelling to, and from city centers.
Again hotels in Japan were not 4 stars. Some were quite old and dated. The optional Kansai dinner was definitely a huge disappointment. However, I understand, they are working to resolve this.
The bulletin train experience was all of 15 minutes, we could have taken it directly from Kyoto to Tokyo. Instead, we were on a bus for multiple hours and 2 truckstops.
We broke away from the group a few times just to explore on our own. Too many temples and shrines on the itinerary.
You do get a good overview of both countries on this tour, however, be prepared to get on and off the bus multiple times a day. There is a lot of walking and steps , so when you get off the bus you do get your activity in. 😄

It was a well-crafted itinerary of this 15 Day Egypt & Jordan with Nile Cruise we took in September 2023, well organized by TripOppo. Both of our tour guides, Ali in Egypt and Omar in Jordan are knowledgeable, caring and responsible. We learnt a lot from the historical sites visits. Amir Khan (Muhammad) who picked us up at Cairo airport when we first arrived and greeted us in transition from Cairo to Amman; Jordan had the same in and out greeting arrangements at the airport. All the accommodations were good. We had an enjoyable, carefree trip with a group of friendly people on our trip.

My family and I went on the 15 day tour through Korea and Japan. Overall, the experience was good getting to see various places that have been on my bucket list for a long while. With Covid, certainly delayed everyone's plans. First few days, we start our trip off at Seoul and making our way south to Busan, then take the next few days back to Seoul. The next week, we fly over to Osaka and make our way east towards Tokyo. Local tour guides from each country did a great job at providing details of each location we visited. Tour leader for us was ok, not very organized and barely interacted with the group. Suggestion for the next trip, during initial arrival in Seoul, guests arrived at different times, tour leader should have been there to greet each guest and go over details of when and where to meet. Same with the check out of each hotel, should have collected everyones room key to turn in all at once.

My biggest complaints for this trip are based on two huge factors, accommodations and time spent for each location. This tour advertises 4 star hotels which is definitely not the case, they start you off with a really nice hotel, but as you go they get worse. One hotel in particular for Korea was the Daegu province (hotel inter-burgo) says it's a 5 star hotel, but from what I recall versus the images on google are no where near the same. As we made our way through Japan, we had similar experiences. Grand Hotel Hamamatsu was by far the worst hotel of them all. Every thing there was old and outdated, we entered extremely hot rooms with no AC, old decor, actual physical keys for rooms access, just laying in the bed made me itchy.

Now for the time spent at each location, there were definitely a ton of old temples and shrines nearly every single day. Literally, you see one then you've seen them all. We spent so much time at temples and barely get any time to eat or shop. The only day we got to that was day 6 of Korea, we get dropped off at Myeongdong market for 3 hours to walk around and shop. Didn't really get to try any of the street food because they had planned an all you can eat pork kbbq for lunch. Then in Japan, one iconic place in Osaka is the Dotonburi where we were only given an hour to eat then we had to get back to the bus. Couldn't even take two steps and you've wasted 10 minutes because it was so busy there.

Planning could have been way better for the Japan leg of the tour, location of the hotel in Osaka was an hour ride from the main city center of Osaka by train. Rather than stay 3 nights in Osaka, one of those nights should have been in Kyoto. Especially on the day of the optional tour to Ayashiyama Bamboo Grove and the Fushimi Inari-Taisha Torii Gates. Such of waste of time to drive from Osaka to Kyoto for about 2 hours to get there only to be greeted with huge crowds. Same experience with the Shinkansen, we had to drive an hour into the city just to sit on the Shinkansen for 10-15 minutes, big whoopie!

Last remarks is for the optional Kaiseki dinner which is not cheap whatsoever, at $90 usd per person. You barely get any food and everything was cold. We would all meet up at the 52nd floor of the building where the food was all layed out ready for us. None of the waiters came to explain anything of the meal, was mainly just here's your food, have at it. Definitely skip this meal and take that hour train ride to the center of Osaka and you'll have more food with money to spare.

Our Tour of Turkey was great! Unlike other tours (competitors) I've been on, we never felt rushed and didn't have to wake up super early. Our days usually started at 9 AM. Often times, our group members came back before the set time which made things run smoothly and we were never behind schedule. Our local tour guide, Husnu Celebi, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He would recommend where to eat/buy certain foods that we wanted to try so that we got the best. He even offered to help us mail our postcards as we didn't pass by any post offices and frankly, most people do not send snail mail anymore. I would recommend this tour to friends and family.

I am writing to you to give feedback about an optional dinner that we had on Day 9 in Korea/Japan Trip
(Kaiseiki Dinner in Osaka )
This dinner was not up to the expectation at many levels
The service was great and the restaurant was good ,but the food Quality and quantity are not what we expect at all
This is not my own view and evaluation but the rest of the group that attended that dinner (13 individuals )had the same opinion (giving the dinner very low rating and extremely low value for the cost) for that meal
Your attendance and investigation of this matter are definitely will boost the trust that we always put in your trusted and respectable company

Overall a very well constructed and extravagant trip. Tripoppo made an excellent for us at a very reasonable price. We felt safe and were humbled by how friendly the people of egypt were. Emad Enan was the absolute best tour guide I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Made our expirence memorable for the years to come for us.

We just returned from the 9 day tour of Japan. Overall the trip was successful but a few problems occurred. The hotels were in the middle of nowhere and made dinner choices fairly limited. The optional Kaiseki dinner was a very expensive joke. How Trip Oppo can charge $90 US for what was offered to us, I have no idea. The food had been left in a Bento box on the tables before the group arrived. Tempura was almost stone cold, fried items were also stone cold and the service offering drinks non existent. We would get better food at our local Japanese Thai restaurant for about $20! A complaint has been lodged and we would like a refund. The eel dinner is described as being worth $100 US although offered ‘free’. Two tiny pieces of eel with a little sauce on white rice had been left on the table before we arrived. It was barely warm. Some Miso soup which was also luke warm was included. Such a meal would have cost around $10 US at that restaurant- we could see the prices! It was hardly enough to eat!
The hotels are most certainly not 4 star. The breakfasts were not good. Cold food which should have been hot and long lines to get into breakfast at the hotel in Osaka. The hotel in Tokyo was dirty.
The good parts of the trip were the informative guide and his kind helpful demeanour. Finally Popsey the Tour Guide from Trip Oppo took the group of 15 Vietnamese in hand and chided some of them for the group’s poor time keeping. Their time was not more valuable than the 8 other people on the
Bus.
We enjoyed many wonderful sights and sites but it would have been nice to visit a local market to see the local life and which had been offered in an earlier itinerary.
For the money this is a good trip but one needs to temper expectations. Also be aware that it is very crowded at all of the included venues.
