All about the money
We had an appointment to visit The Functional Gut Clinic to review ongoing gut/bowel health. From the first interaction their focus seemed to be all about the money _ nothing to do with patient care or safety. Their Admin very young petson was completely uninformed and had to keep calling someone on the phone to ask questions. Our insurer couldn’t find them on any recommended lists of medical professionals associated with them. They have an impressive website but the business model seems to be all about the money.

At The Functional Gut Clinic, patient care and safety are always our top priorities. We understand that discussions around fees and insurance can sometimes feel uncomfortable, but they are an important part of ensuring transparency and avoiding unexpected costs for our patients.
Regarding insurance, we are recognised by and work with most major medical insurers. Our team are always happy to help with medical insurance queries.
We’re also sorry if you felt our administrative support did not meet expectations. Our admin team is trained to ensure accuracy, and when they need to double-check information, it is to make sure patients receive correct and up-to-date guidance rather than risk giving incomplete information.
